Oct 02, 2024Secrets and Breathless!!! NOPE!!!
Booked at Secrets for quiet time and in order to go back and forth to Breathless (next door) because it’s PARTY!!! PARTY!!! Secrets have roaches! Ended up staying at Breathless. Party of 15 Food in both resorts, VERY mediocre!!! Taco Bell tastes better!!! Get the Xhale Club or Preferred Club otherwise you are treated like someone homeless off the street. Staff treats you as if YOU are annoying them!!! Their favorite words are NO!!! Heard this from many other guests there during the stay!!! Don’t think about getting into the ocean you must fight the dirt first!!! Hurricane Helene brought in all the and gnats!!! (EYE-ROLL) 2 guest rooms smelled like mold and staff didn’t care to do anything about it. Our health isn’t important to them!!! 3 guest rooms never got their welcome beverage!!! 1 guest room DND was on and the staff entered at will!!! Secrets and Breathless!!! NOPE!!!

We booked trip as we were celebrating our 25th anniversary and without reading any reviews. The lure to book this resort was because we would be able to have use of both Secrets and Breathless resorts. We were a little surprise to see the Secrets side was rather small compared to the Secrets resort we went to this July in Punta Cana. Overall, the Secrets side was very good and would recommend. Staff were friendly, polite, and service was very good. The beach was not the best due to the seaweed however did not book the resort for the beach as my spouse and I love to go to the pool. The pool staff at secrets was excellent and very accommodating, both Bailey and Fabian, always took care of us. The pool side drink service was excellent, Mar and Cruz were very attentive. They were always stopping by to ask if we needed another drink or anything else. Room service and nightly turn-down service was lacking the first two days however spoke to our UVC concierge who ensure the service was excellent the rest of the days . Only compliant was during our stay the resort had construction going on which made it a bit annoying to relax at pool side.

Oct 02, 2024Don’t waste hard earned money!
This was our 4th time back, so we knew what to expect, although we did not expect this resort to go downhill so fast. . No liquor in room, so much construction we had to change rooms, rude staff in rose water and at concierge, no one smiles, it seems like every word you say or drink you ask for is an inconvenience. Food went downhill. . The only saving grace was the excellent service from Luis at the Secrets Bar and Steven/Angela with the entertainment service.

Nice getaway
Overall the resort is nice. A little construction happened during our stay, but it did not ruin it. The staff was wonderful in every department. The entertainment staff was great! We enjoyed that the Secrets side was very relaxing, but that we had access to the Breathless side and that we could participate in activities at both! The beach itself was nice, but the ocean floor in that area was very rocky, so spending time in the water was not an option unless you were using a watercraft. The sea was also not clear, it was murky, so snorkeling was not an option. The beach/ sand was lovely to walk on, especially at night.

Construction was Loud at the pool
I was very disappointed that we weren't made aware of the construction that was taking place at the pool. We could have booked our vacation at any number of resorts and we would have chosen another one had we known about the construction.
