Nearly but not quite…
Nice food. Nice location. Friendly staff. Smelly damp room. Bathroom flooded when we showered. They offered free massages to compensate but then charged us for one as we left. TV did not face the bed and did not swivel so we watched it sideways. Olives are only at one bar and they do not share with others. No idea why. Checkout process was dire. Uppity little man at front desk insisted we go back to our room to hand in the hotel-issued bracelets and then even though we were running late for the airport insisted we get off the bus to get a piece of paper from him so we could hand it to the bell man to get back on the bus. Ludicrous. BTW if you been to Sandals and know what the butler does, lower your expectations. We saw ours at checkin and then on the last day for 2 minutes.

A great experience!
We stayed for 1 week to celebrate our daughters first birthday. Our room (swim up suite) was perfect - there is a sliding door between the living area and the bedroom and we used a Crib provided by the hotel which our daughter slept in in the living area. This afforded us privacy at night-time and during nap-time, and we were able to access our patio / small private pool from our bedroom while our daughter slept - a dream! The resort is fairly small to walk around and the resort is constantly being maintained; paint touch ups, cleaning, etc. It feels like the staff really care and everyone is very friendly. There is a main pool with swim up bar, but we spent most of our time in the small circular baby pool which was ideal for our daughter. Servers are friendly, attentive and cleaning up empty cups / providing refills constantly. One point is that this hotel does cater for a lot of weddings - as many as 4 per day on weekends! So as a result there are big groups. The restaurants are good - much of what you expect at an all inclusive. The stand out for us was the steak restaurant: Arturo + Wily and the whole team at Don Juame were excellent. We told Arturo that his restaurant was by far the best - very attentive and personalized, it did not feel like you were at an 'all inclusive' resort. We also enjoyed the Hibachi restaurant where you require a reservation: they seat groups at 6, 7:10, or 8:15pm. We ate breakfast and lunch every day at the Flavors Buffet. Food was varied and good. We were able to find something for our 1 year old to eat every day; freshly prepared pasta, veggies, pancakes, eggs, and cooked meat. I want to give a special shout out to Aide at the Flavors Buffet - she was wonderful. She was so kind to our daughter and organized for a little cake as we were celebrating her first birthday. She is a gem and was a joy to see every day! The kids club at this resort was also excellent. They organize activities for children age 4+, and you can leave your kids at the kids club if they are age 4+. For us we were able to the use the kids club room and play with our daughter there. There were a lot of toys, a big ball pit, tvs, board games, little chairs and tables and beanbags, and most important - very friendly staff! Andalon (sp?) at the kids club was fantastic. She was welcoming and friendly and all the kids club staff worked so tirelessly with the kids. Bravo!

Exceeded our expectations
This resort does it right! The resort is set up where everything is close to get to, beach front, and beautiful rooms. When we checked in we were assigned a plunge pool rooftop pool, and we loved it! We spent every morning using before heading to the beach for the afternoon. The resort grounds are beautiful, they are constantly painting, cleaning, fixing. There were some missing tiles, but you can tell the hotel is on top of the repairs but not enough to bother us. If anything is brought to the staffs attention they are very quick to fix. The staff are all extremely friendly, kind, and very helpful, one of our now favourite properties. We’re not usually huge fans of All inclusive food, but every meal here was excellent- especially the steak house, and the Mar house lunch buffet. We had Isaac as our butler, and honestly checked in on the app every day, the one issue we had he fixed immediately and followed up. We’re already planning our next vacation here!

A Majestic place to stay.
It's a beautiful resort and the location is perfect. Beach is always very important and this one was 100% . Soft white sand which was great for those long walks. Ocean had waves and no seaweed when we stayed here. Our room was amazing as we had category with rooftop plunge pool. It's definitely great for those romantic trips. Lots of loungers and Bali beds. Around the pool area, the servers did remove towels that were just left to hold spots. I saw it many times so loungers can't stay unattended for too long. We have traveled to so many resorts over my 27 year marriage and this was the first time I didn't rush out to get a place by the pool or the beach. They had a wedding everyday with 2 on some days. They have so many beautiful spots to have the ceremony. My wife was always happy to see everyone dressed up. Excellent place to stay and enjoy a vacation.

Beautiful resort!
Majestic Elegance was a beautiful resort with a great balance of beautiful beach and nice pools. You could partake in fun activities or find a quiet spot to relax. Even when the resort was full, you could find beach chairs and staff to wait on you. Be sure to bring tip money for these folks. They work very hard to attend to their guests. Our room was very comfortable. Our butler, Tete, was incredible with making reservations for restaurants and spa where we loved the hydrotherapy. She was so attentive and helpful! The Queen & Michael Jackson tributes were great while the silent disco was really fun! The gatherings in the Plaza were always fun. We enjoyed the steakhouse, teppinyaki and Italian restaurants. The Mar House lunch was good but we found their dinner to not be as good. The steak is good everywhere! Flavors is ok. Room service breakfast is nice too. In our experience the restaurants were better than the buffets, unless you are lucky enough to get the elegant buffet at a wedding. This was very, very good! Our week was lovely,
