My best vacation!
Entertainment manager Many and Diana were SO amazing at the pool. They taught us merengue and salsa and honestly they were the BEST teachers I’ve ever had! 🥰 please ask for their schedule at check in and have SO much with both of them. They have different schedules so I hope it fits in with your schedule!

AMAZING VIEWS & EVEN BETTER SERVICE!
The resort is so beautiful! All of the staff was absolutely kind and extremely helpful! Manny & Martin (GG) were my favorites!! I LOVED my stay here wish it could last longer. I came solo for a friends wedding, felt very safe here. Will definitely be returning!

Best trip in 10 years
The whole experience was amazing. From when we got to the resort and checked in. To our wonderful butler Andres. The restaurants are great. Johnson at the club pool bar made great drinks when ever we asked. Angel and Abraham at the beach bar kept the drinks flowing while we enjoyed the beautiful views of the water. The entertainment crew were on point with the activities and shows for the week we were there. The room was clean and had a great view. House keeping did amazing job our entire stay. Great experience at the spa as well. Cant' wait to go back.

Trip of a lifetime!
We cannot say enough good things about this resort. It was a dream vacation! Everyone is beyond friendly, helpful, fun and hardworking. Our room was super clean (thank you housekeeping!) everyday. The bed was very comfortable so were the pillows. The food was incredible. We have not a single complaint about the restaurants. All of them are delicious, varied and fresh. The servers are prompt and friendly. The entertainment each night was amazing - the Mexican feast, white night, Queen and Michael Jackson shows, THE FIRE SHOW (SO talented!) the performances were very cool. The beach is so beautiful! The water is a blue we've not seen before and very clear. The bar staff on the beach and at the pools made our drinks and afternoons so fun and relaxing. Our Butler Andres, was incredibly attentive, engaging, helpful and made our experience seamless and relaxing. Blossom spa - the whole place was like a dream! The hydrotherapy treatments were unlike anything we've ever experienced. Getting massages in the cenote was a tranquil tropical oasis. What follows is list of some of the wonderful people we interacted with but this is certainly not an exhaustive list, we could mention everyone! Pamela (club check in and check out), Andres (butler), Adriana, Marisol (Italian restaurant), Johnson, Moises, Alonso (at the pool), Angel, Sergio, Baez, Abraham (at the beach), Eduardo, Faustino, Jackie, Oliver (entertainment), Wily (steakhouse), Carlos (Teppanyaki), Irma (Blossom). The list could go on! Thank you to everyone at the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres for the vacation of a lifetime! Can't wait to come back.

Unorganized Poorly Managed Resort with great food and nice facility.
Unforgettable People Like Roberto V., But Service Failures That Ruined My Experience I stayed at this resort for a wedding celebration. While a few individuals went above and beyond, the overall experience—especially what happened after my stay—was incredibly disappointing. The Good: Roberto V. and the Butler Roberto V., who served as both a restaurant server and butler, was outstanding—kind, professional, and always on point. Another butler (whose name I can't recall) was also fantastic. These two truly stood out and deserve recognition. The entrance staff at check-in were also polite and welcoming. But unfortunately, the rest of the experience was riddled with problems. 1. Ice Machines & Room Issues None of the ice machines in my building worked. I checked four machines personally. Guest Services’ response? “Did you try another building?” That blew my mind. I also called room service twice—first they told me to get it myself, then said someone would bring it. No one came. The AC in room 3205 barely cooled the room, even with the terrace door locked and curtains closed. I reported it twice—no fix. 2. Beach Bed Scamming by Staff Every beach bed near the tiki bar was “taken,” covered with random items—books, shoes, sunscreen—but no people. When we tried to use a bed, a waiter told us we couldn’t. Minutes later, he moved those same items for a new couple—in exchange for a tip. We watched this happen repeatedly. Staff were blocking off beds and using them to hustle tips, while paying guests like us were left standing. 3. Tequila Bait-and-Switch I ordered a bottle of Don Julio 70 Cristalino at the beach for $100–$110. I signed a receipt—then they brought me Patrón, claiming it was “the same thing.” I refused, crossed out the ticket, and thankfully wasn’t charged—but the attempted bait-and-switch was unacceptable. 4. Day Pass Guests Denied Towels Two friends visited on a paid day pass (9 AM–9 PM access). They were denied towels at the pool. The staff said, “You don’t have a room, so no towel.” That’s ridiculous. A full-day pass includes the pool and beach—but not a towel? It’s insulting and makes no sense. 5. Post-Checkout Experience: Shocking Disrespect On May 15 at 9 PM, I returned to drop off a bag for guests (Seth and Hania Fletcher). I lost phone service driving out from Cancún, so I didn’t have their room number at the gate. I explained everything, asked to connect to Wi-Fi, and even offered to leave the bag at reception. Security refused all options. I asked for a manager. 45 minutes later, Manager Kevin arrived. I explained everything again—his response: “Nope. Not helping.” I managed to get enough Wi-Fi by stepping 3–4 meters past the gate. When I finally received the room number, they still refused to help. The attitude wasn’t just unhelpful—it was smug, like they enjoyed the power trip. I was treated like a threat, not a former guest trying to return a personal item. Final Word The resort has great people like Roberto V., but the culture of arrogance, inconsistency, and poor service is deeply problematic. From dishonest beach staff to inflexible management, it was clear that guest care ends the moment your reservation does. Would I return? Only if I could deal directly with professionals like Roberto V. Would I recommend it? Not until serious service improvements are made.
