Apr 19, 2025lovely, but really could be so so much better
Honest review from a normal/average family from the UK. 2 adults, 2 kids (12/10) To look at the hotel it is beautiful, clean, tidy, with many things you’d look for in a holiday. Approx 60/90mins transfer (depending if being dropped off on a full TUI bus with multiple stops, or flying with a partnered airline - and getting a mini bus) Rooms - we had a double room (two small double beds) with a single sofa bed. Rooms are nice, if a little small. Played musical beds most night so everyone had a chance to have a decent sleep in a double bed. If anyone above, below, or next door walks about you will hear thud thud thud… many Mexican/US families seem ok to chat nice and loudly in the hall ways at all hours, so found it a pretty rough night sleep. Food - an ok selection, but (and I won’t lie) found so much of it to be cold frequently. The beach bar food was horrible. Cold soggy chips, rock hard burger buns. With the sports bar not being much better. Few of the restaurants were nice, but again, lukewarm warm/cold. Drinks - the beer is the worse I’ve ever had at an AI. There is premium spirits, but you need to drink it on the rocks as the mixers are terrible (watered down) On the plus side, the house red was lovely! Gym - excellent Pools - lovely Sunbeds - LOL… people will go down to reserve them from 0630, then at around 0800 the pool staff remove all the hotel supplied blue/white towels. Creating mayhem when everyone comes to the pool, close to fist fights etc. TIP ensure you place a personal item on the sunbeds as they’ll be left alone. Staff - fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, from bar staff to maintenance men, all very pleasant. Sports area - really smart

If you plan to travel around the resort on a travel cart I HIGHLY recommend Fernando. He literally took care of my family all week, day and night, and was highly requested by everyone we saw. I cannot be more appreciative for him! I look forward to coming back soon.

Read before you book. Honest review
We travelled to the Kannetah as a party of 6 . We booked three double delux rooms . We emailed in advance as it was our anniversary and birthday but have to say they did nothing despite concierge acknowledging the request which was disappointing. Rooms Absolutely lovely . Clean , spacious and cleaned everyday . Mini bar stocked up each day and has water cokes , Fanta , beers and water . A la cartes There are 12 . The Thai and Brazilian was the best for us . Make sure you download the app and book as bookings are 3 days in advance . The hotel has VIPs , Family selection guests which are priority for everything so if you don’t get in early you won’t get in . Bookings open 8 am each day . If you have a party of 5 or more you have to book with concierge at reception . We found Omar to be an absolute superstar and he made sure we got booked in a different a la cartes for our 12 night stay . He also sorted out towels etc . Buffet restaurants La Hacienda , La Dahlia El grande Athul are brilliant . Great selection and they serve breakfast , lunch and dinner . We didn’t have issues attending all food was fresh , hot and plentiful. We were blown away . Being Indian we loved the spice ! Facilities Has onsite flamingo , turtle and crocodile sanctuary. Very much worth the visit . Sports bar - great food and aircon Spa - there will be reps trying to flog you a spa visit . Barter barter barter ! I got a 50min deep tissue massage with 5 days spa access for $100. Electric buggies These are fantastic and take you over the three sites . They even have a tracker on them so if you are waiting you know how long the next one is . Evening entertainment Quite poor . However recommend the silent disco and White partyas they were awesome . It’s a shame they didn’t do bbqs on the beach or foam parties ( unlike for VIP and family selection guests ) . Our previous resort had lots of these and would have been a great addition to events offered . Animation team Great for kids and circumspect for adults which I liked . We loved the water aerobics. Sports centre Great range of sports activities for everyone Beach The beach was a let down as had lots of seaweed but the staff tried their best to clear it . Recommend waking up early for sunrise as it’s beautiful . 10am-3pm beach has kayaking , canoeing and paddle boarding for free . Pool bars and hotel bars Great range of premium and non premium beers and spirits . Amazing cocktails . Bat staff was very slow at serving tho . You could get your drinks quicker at Churchill’s bar . Great decor . Wildlife Lots of different birds ( kestrels ) , monkeys , flamingoes , iguanas and Capybaras and raccoons. Snacks Bring your crisps and chocolates as the onsite hotel shops are extortionate. Hotel bars serve peanuts and pretzels upon request . Gym Great and is located in the spa Staff Absolutely amazing . They can’t do enough for you. Gloria at the pool bar makes an awesome shot called ‘Mexican Candy’ order it as it’s gorgeous . Gloria and Gabrielle at the pool bar need to smile more and usually ignored people which was annoying and they need more training on hospitality ! Adrian at the Thai was extremely attentive . Omar at concierge is blooming fantastic he couldn’t do enough for us . Check out Don’t check out until the morning of your stay as you will get credits in cash that you can use to pay any extras off your bill. The hotel sneakily encourages express checkout but if you do this you cannot use your credits the following day . You will receive an email in the morning . The resort is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend and we will be returning again . The only downer was the lack of making it special despite emailing in advance . With a few tweaks I think this resort would be blooming extraordinary. Fingers crossed they take it on board !

Fantastic resort
We have had the best holiday. This is the best resort we have visited. Amazing service, fabulous entertainment, wonderful food. We are definitely looking forward to returning in the future.

Amazing trip
From the moment we got to this magnificent resort we had an AMAZING time. The resort is very well looked after. The staff are friendly and most people are friendly. We just got back March 22nd, and have booked another trip for December of this year!
