My husband and I just returned from our vacation here and we both had a great time. The resort was huge and we felt it was kept very clean. The food selection was great but we did find the buffet food to always be cold no matter what time we went at. My husband mainly had the pasta because it was made to order so at least it was hot. The a la carte meals were all excellent. Staff was friendly, pools were great and it was an all around great time. Only real complaint was the mosquitos and sand fleas which were quite bad, but not really the resorts fault. We will know to be prepared in the future

Room for improvement
Brunilda was wonderful and looked after us every evening. Always smiling and happy to serve us. Thank you! Location is great and the resort is enormous. Food is better than we have experienced at an all inclusive. Sadly on arrival the reception team tried to charge us $550 to upgrade to a refurbished room having already told our friends who arrived before us that we would be staying there and charged them $400. We were then told we didn’t have to pay if we tipped the reception guy. We said we didn’t have any cash so he said we could pay him personally the next day. He even called our room the next day to tell us he was working and waiting for his tip. We didn’t pay him. The truck stop serving fast food by the pool is a good idea but everything was cold - this needs attention.

We just arrived yesterday and are I building 17. Please disregard all negative reviews. Pools are great. Service is great. Beach is great. Entertainment is great. Food is incredible. 🎊🎊 housekeeping did an amazing job today. People are friendly!

Terrible hotel. Seriously falling apart. I wish I had listened to previous reviews. Don't risk it. It's basically a 2 star and all the money you pay doesn't go to their staff or hotel improvements. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Please take note before booking. We were in the "luxury" section.

Feels like home.
Love BP hotels, have been visiting twice a year for a while for especial activities or just because we need a rest. Bouganville Romana and now Punta Cana just feel like home, the shows and activities are great, and they always hear you, and the food omg!, Can't wait to start planning the next getaway.
