I have been to Hawaii multiple times for work in the last 6 months. This was my first stay at the Outrigger. This hotel was recommended to me by a coworker. I had a wonderful time and was always greeted by friendly staff members. Located in the middle of the Waikiki strip. Whenever I did need my car, the valet was quick to respond. If I ever had a question or asked for a recommendation for shopping or dinner, I was shown multiple map locations for amazing shopping options and amazing food. I would highly recommend this place to any friends or family.

Awesome holiday!
The location is perfect along with the selection of food outlets. The service from Everyone is fantastic especially our cleaner Brenda who left our rooms pristine every day! She even remembered our names for the 7 days we were there! Highly recommend outrigger Waikiki!

Nov 27, 2024Great except for the pool loungers issue.
I was given just two days notice to book a hotel for a short break away. I found an amazing deal at this hotel offering a partial ocean view and V47 Lounge access. It was too good to miss. The hotel was wonderful. We spent a fabulous week here. Everything was fabulous except for the pool and loungers. The only drawback that we found was that people take the beach towels, reserve the pool seats as soon as they open and then they go off on tours etc, they don't use the loungers, so you will not find space by the pool or beach. One day we asked the pool attendant if there were any empty unused seats and he cleared away some towels that had just been lain on the chairs. He took those off and said we could use the loungers. We settled in and about an hour later a very irate woman screamed at me that she had just finished her lunch and was coming back. They were her chairs and towels, I was to get off her loungers. She was shouting at me angrily about having stolen her chairs, and towels and whilst shouting at me she was throwing our things about. One minute I'm quietly sunbathing and the next I am being screamed at by a harridan. I have never been so angry in my life. We had been given these loungers by the pool attendant. I couldn't believe the audacity, her sense of entitlement, and the fact she was throwing my things around and grabbing our towels. I stood my ground and told her to go speak to the pool attendant. I cannot believe I had a fight over a lounger. It was ridiculous. We never went back to the pool, and complained to the pool attendant when we left. He laughed and said he would look out for her, ut did not seem at all bothered. The fact that we were unable to use the pool and loungers was the worst part of this stay. It didn't just happen to us, we heard others at the front desk complaining about people reserving the pool loungers too. This needs to be addressed. Maybe a notice saying - If the chairs aren't used after 30 mins they are forfeited and towels will be cleared by the pool attendants. Also no reserving loungers. Something like that. It is really affecting your guests, by the actions of a few others. Pity. I docked a star because of this lounger issue. Oh and the V47 lounge access is a no brainer. You get a continental breakfast and evening snack with cocktails, wine or beer every day. It saved us a fortune! That was worth every penny.

Classic Hawaiian Good times!
The Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort is a classic vacay spot where you will have a fabulous time. Grab a burger and mai tai at Dukes while locals play music for some added Hawaiian good vibe. If you want something a bit more fancy you can go upstairs to Hula Grill. Or if you want to just hang at the beach you can grab a sandwich at Pai's Deli downstairs. The beach location is perfect where you can rent surfboards, chaise lounges, or arrange a catamaran ride. Not a fancy place if that is what you are looking for but much more old school and authentic. Get ready to have some FUN!

Great holiday
Had a wonderful holiday at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. Perfect location on Waikiki Beach and the hotel has such a relaxed Hawaiian vibe about it. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Would definitely stay again and hopefully soon!
