Great option if you don't need a sandy beach - loved artificial reef offshore!
Wonderful communication before trip was helpful. We used our Marriott free night certs and they acknowledged my sons bday which was thoughtful. I didn't like the $60 resort fee even though they do offer a lot - its hard to get $60 every day as you are out and about. We stayed 3 nights and a lot of the things I would have done were not offered those days. Bikes (too hot for us and dangerous road), kayaks and stand up (was very wavy choppy out our week), a few activities each day - we got popcorn, ice cream, smores... hardly $60 worth though! lol I liked the filtered water station near our room (252) and the refreshing welcome drink - one day it was passion fruit and another strawberry - was hoping for a different drink on last day but back to passion. We got a wonderful oceanfront upgrade to king room w/ sleeper sofa and it was lovely. The made up room every day. Staff is pleasant. The have free coffee in lobby but only from 6 to 8:30 - we are on holiday - lets have coffee till maybe 10? We enjoyed happy hour one day at pool bar and another time at lobby restaurant - both pretty good! Everything is expensive here on island as expected. We rented car and explored - free parking so that helped! Next door is Hampton inn and Ms. Pipers - good happy there and across street is Peppers, which my son loved - ate there twice! I like this location - as it's in middle of island - you can get to both sides fairly easy. We actually prefered no sandy beach as my son hates sand! lol - so walking from pool deck to water was lovely. They have water hammocks and floats to use. Best is the artificial reef offshore to snorkel - I get sea sick and prefer to not get on a boat. This was perfect we saw a lot of tropical fish. My son jet skiied one day and we were able to charge to room - earn more points! Not sure we'd come back to island but if we did we would likely consider a stay here again as it more economical than the Westin or Ritz!

Amazing Family Vacation
Great experience for our entire family Staff throughout the Summer House was outstanding and daily activities put on by the staff provided fun for our kids between 5-13 years old. Big thanks to Osiris who made sure out room was beautiful in a daily basis.

Housekeeping and A&D. LOVED IT!!
Osiris from Housekeeping was a gem to have take care of my room (409)!! If you're staying here, definitely request her. Every time she cleans it's like a brand new checked in room. Have a great time at A&D Bar! Cesidio and Jomanny were also great!

Amazing Staff and an Amazing Stay
Osiris was absolutely amazing! She kept our room spotless and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her warm personality made our stay even better. The front desk staff, Ainia and Jehneal, were just as wonderful—always welcoming, helpful, and ready to answer any questions with a smile. We truly loved them and this place. Thank you for an unforgettable stay! The Lee’s

Nice hotel but watch out for lounge chair hogs
Nice resort hotel right on the water. We don’t love sand so we liked that the stairs went right into the water and they had rafts you could swim too. If you have small kids this may be a drawback but with bigger kids it was really fun. Pool is medium sized but it was never really crowded any of the days we were there. It was challenging to get lounge chairs at times and it didn’t seem like the hotel discouraged people from saving seats for the whole day even if they weren’t there. A couple of times were moved towels when it was clear the people were gone but it would have been nice if the pool staff would have been monitoring as we have seen done at other Marriott properties.
