Birthday vacation at Hideaway!
We have stayed at Royalton Punta Cana several times in the last eight years, enjoying the resort to the max and the great staff. This time we decided to stay for the first time at HideAway! As Prime resort club members, We had a great experience! Checking in is directly at the HideAway front desk meaning VIP treatment personalized welcoming with a professionalism, and friendliness. This section of the Royalton Punta Cana resort is for adults only. You will have a private pool separate building, private beach area, two private bars, one of the beach and one at the pool, hammocks in the pool area, ping-pong, table, and an exclusive El Dorado restaurants only for HideAway and members! It includes its own amazing Chef, Luis Castro. They’re open for breakfast lunch and dinner. There is a menu, but you can also request your own special meal and they will gladly make it for you! We follow a straight vegan diet, and allergens to certain foods, so they were very caring and careful to prepare our meals, this restaurant is open with no windows, but a nice cold breeze and comfortable interior with Ocean view, next to the beach, we will find some straw umbrellas, comfortable lounge, chairs, and the tiki bar next to it. Beach towels, and pool towels available all around the property. There is great entertainment with a vibe team throughout the day, also an excellent fitness program with different activities for all. Look out for the coconut day by the pool bar area in the main property! They will open a fresh coconut for you and a straw so you can drink away and hydrate. Then will cut the coconut and have for you to eat inside! Cheers! There is night, entertainment, live music and dancing. There is a sports bar where we had the opportunity to watch the World Cup. Lots of fans with her favorite team jersey and healthy fun! We see that they junior suite, with a balcony. We found out throughout our different visits, that we prefer to be higher in the building so we don’t listen to the first floor traffic of people going through the building or to the rooms or to the HideAway front desk, if you don’t mind that the first floor is convenient. We actually prefer a quietness and we are in our room. We had partial ocean view and pool view and it was fun to watch some of the water games. also, some of the concerts. I highly recommend the spa. Take the time to visit it and experience they hydrotherapy. Include cold, special showers, sauna, steam room, spacious locker, and changing room, which includes a robe in special slippers. They have a private small pool area where you can relax outside with shade and vegetation. Looks like a tropical corner. There are many specialty restaurants which for us were included with our membership. However, the covert charge is low and well worth it if you have to pay for it. Check out the website. It includes a great Italian restaurant, Zen, steak, an Asian fusion, just to name a few. Also enjoyed a couple of bakery café shops, where you can enjoy gourmet gelato, coffee, and pastries throughout the day, take a shower and enjoy the Eco gardens. It is full of Flora and fauna. There’s a section where you can plan weddings too! our future, son-in-law and daughter are seriously considering to do a family wedding at this resort. All in all we highly recommend the Royalton chain! Royalton staff Hall of Fame : The staff at the resort are well trained, professional, friendly, and will do anything with sincere dedication to your request. Nevertheless, these were the ones that stood out for us. : Director of the ROYALTON Resort Punta Cana, Felix Sanchez. Great leader, charismatic, and dedicated. After we met him, we saw him everywhere in the property personally Running the place with his own example, connecting with the staff and guests, including us! Alexander Gonzalez. Executive Director many years ago when he was a chef for the resort, he has been rising . Now he manages all the restaurants in the Caribbean! We were honored to get together him again during his visit to this resort amazing leader and superb chef! Other great chefs who made our stay even more enjoyable: Victor Salzedo, Luis Castro, Fernando, Obispo,Darío! Johan, William. Spa: Pastora, Herika, Sonia Dorado Restaurant: Yanelis, Giselly, Francis! Victor, Dayana, Cristina, Manuel, Crisdania,Baron, Chef Darlin, Irene, Jesus, Jose. Hideaway Beach bar: Brenda y Mario. Coffee bar and bakery: Colombia, Wanda. Other amazing team members: Vanessa, Rainer, Erinson Hideaway Front desk: Rosa, Adelfi, and Hector! Our amazing Butler! Thank you all we miss you and Ante will meet again in the near future!

Amazing service & perfect location
Amazing service from all the staff. Special shout out to Antonio from the hideaway bar. His big smile and incredible service was very memorable and made our stay. The buffet got better on our second visit there was no need to go to the hideaway restaurant. The beach in particular was so perfect. Great waves, incredible snorkeling just from the beach. Spotted a turtle, lots of fish and sting ray. Can't wait to come back.

Second Visit
Wow!! This was our second trip to the Hideaway, and it didn’t disappoint. Special shout-out to Juan & Joesmerlyn at the Hideaway bar. Juan remembered us, and that my husband drinks the “Canadian Caesar”. Baron & Manual from the Dorado who made every meal special by welcoming us with big smiles and great service. Special thanks to Silvia from the main bar at the Royalton. Who also made us feel special. Dorado restaurant was a 10/10. Hideaway guests don’t need to go anywhere else to eat. They serve the best food on the resort, with the best service! Pools and beach were amazing! Our only complaint was the constant harassing by the staff to sign up for the timeshare meeting. They were relentless. Even on our last day they were trying to get us to attend. It was actually uncomfortable some days to walk by them, as they hangout in the stairwell that leads to the rooms. The hotel was under construction when we there. We can’t wait to return next year to see the improvements!

Rudy at the pool bar is the best!
Went for a 5 day trip and had an excellent time. At Check in, we were greeted by Jennifer the lounge host and knew right away we were in great hands. The pool was not overcrowded, and our man Rudy at the bar makes the best drinks. He is literally a one man show. Rooms were nice and the food was great. If I had a complaint it would be the difficulty encountered in making reservations at the specialty restaurants. Ready to go back already.

Let down by its guests and policy’s
Where to begin arrived late Sunday after flight changed by operator. As soon as arriving at the resort seemed to be pain to the staff as it was nearly 10pm very rushed check in no lift to the room on the third floor of the hideaway complex. 1st day at the adults pool nice and relaxing to start then the music starts then the spring breakers start to arrive attracted by the loud music. Staff seem to hype the situation up more music gets louder entertainment team carry on the hype. Not what you would expect at an adults only area if you want loud music and to party this is the section for you. The normal pool area is quieter but if you pay for adults only with exclusive facilities you want to be able to use them. There is a hideaway beach but most of this has been washed away leaving 20 sunbeds with shade for use by the 150 so hideaway guest just a little thought might have been to place some sunbeds with umbrellas onto the lower part of the beach to give more room but hey why bother they have your money now. Getting into the restaurants are a joke apart from the buffet which is good tried 3 of the restaurants to stand in a queue then get queue jumped to then be told there’s 16 families waiting so if you want to use the speciality restaurants you’ll need diamond club oh and guess what this is extra too. I’ve been to may a 5 star resort and this is far far from it for service Bali has doorbells on the tables to get drinks service by the pool nothing like that here your lucky if you see anyone and have to queue at the bars not what I would call 5 star luxury. This hotel needs to take a look what it’s trying to be luxury or club 18-30’s it can’t mix and match unless it’s going to make the effort to do this. The hideaway could so easily be separated off from the main hotel it has a gate access make it so only your bracelet can let you into it other then it be a free for all to wander in and out it’s not difficult just seems profit is the key here by a large corporation and no investment. I still have 6 more days and there has been no improvement we’ve had every night yelling partying and doors slamming between 1am- 4am whilst I know this is not the hotels fault it cannot control its guests but it could take measure to mitigate like a zero tolerance on noise after 12am. It could also have a policy during spring break you must be over 21 to book into the hideaway part of the hotel but I guess it would worry about losing money that way. The hotel seems to be unable or unwilling to do anything which is a great shame as the location and hotel itself is lovely. Let’s hope for the chance to move hotel by our tour operator this is a falsely advertised hotel.
