*Important Information for our guests*
The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. The restrictions usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday, and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced:
*Motorized and non-motorized watersports may be banned
*Alcohol consumption may be restricted (most resorts obtain a special permit which enables them to serve alcohol to non-native persons during the ban)
*Music may be limited or silenced
These rules are designed for the safety of everyone, as beaches get extremely busy during this period.

Most beautiful pool ever
Hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, especially the pool area and beach. Rooms are comfortable, but unfortunately, certain things are broken and don't work. We actually had to change rooms three times until we were satisfied. Most of the staff are very nice, except for the front desk staff at night who were rude and dismissive. Giselle at customer service was a great help in finding us a room after a horrible experience with one room having no AC and the other room no working fridge and far away from pool and beach. Hotel is huge so if you have issues with walking you will have a problem but they do have golf carts that can take you in between your room and pool/beach area and Restaurants and shops when available but you must ask near entrance. All gift shops are very expensive but fun to window shop. Buffet had plenty of yummy choices and the hostesses were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I got sick from I think eating the pizza that was offered by pool and yummy but they leave it out and who knows for how long in the heat. The drinks (juices) taste fake and too sugary. I didn’t drink alcohol and my daughter drank the beer which she enjoyed. We went to one Restaurant (the Italian one) which you need a reservation but the service was awful. The casino is outdated and not worth even walking into. There is Taxi service to airport which is 30 bucks. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and great trip despite some hiccups.

An enjoyable week in a pleasant environment.
Booked a TUI all inclusive with standard room. Arriving late afternoon after most of the American flights, the check in was quick and easy. Nice spacious room, not the newest but all serviceable and comfortable large bed with mini bar. The pool, ground and beach are lovely. There were plenty of loungers even though the hotel seemed pretty busy. The entertainment team work tirelessly night and day providing something for everyone. There are non motorised water sports provided without charge at the dive centre, they have a couple of Hobie cats and kayaks. The evening family entertainment was variable in quality and later in the evening one bar was reconfigured into a night club at 11pm. We didn't find a great deal of atmosphere in there on the nights we went. The main bar was well tended by the young staff who worked hard keeping glasses full with a good range of carefully made cocktails. Local spirits and beer was on offer unless you bought a premium package for top shelf spirits. Christopher and Octavio and others did a great job. We enjoyed breakfast at the beach restaurant, evening meal was in the main buffet restaurant. The soups, salads and sweets were great, the mains were ok and not unexpectedly aimed more at South American tastes. We visited the Steak and Japanese restaurants which were a bonus but you need to book when you arrive to get a time that suits you. Overall, another great week in Dominican. I would return to this hotel which is similar to others we have stayed at a similar price.

Average hotel, 3 stars max. Won't be back.
This hotel is not a 4 + star hotel. Cons: The buffet food is average. In the main buffet breakfast was good, lunch was pretty good but dinner was so so at best. The pool buffet was terrible. Sometimes trying to get water or a drink at either was impossible. There were never towels after 9/9:30. Rossy the towel lady was lazy and rude. Sitting on the counter with her head on the wall. She actually stood one day with her back to the guests and handed towels back over her shoulder. When asked to please call for towels she refused. The hotels knows there is a towel issue but apparently nothing is done to rectify it. We had to use the same towels several days. The alcohol brands are meh. There is no beach or pool service for drinks. The beach was nice however lots of Seaweed. Rooms are tired looking. People smoked everywhere, nothing was enforced. The smoked inside the main bar, they smoked in the pool dropping ashes in the water. Pros: Carmen our room lady was the best! The a la cartes were very good, especially the Steak house and Japanese. The grounds are very pretty. The coffee shop was great. The pizzas at the pool were really good as well as the panninis.

Average hotel
Let’s start with the room, we had a standard family room, it is very basic nothing to “write home about”. We requested that we had a ground floor room as we have 2 children and a pushchair, we did not expect the room to flood after a downpour of rain, you would think that the hotel would have good drainage measures in place to prevent this. The cleaning team were good, the room was cleaned everyday. The other negative that let’s the hotel down is the service in the buffet and bars, there were days we would have a whole meal without even getting a glass of water with our buffet meal, and you could be stood for 10 minutes waiting for a drink at the bar, watching people who had been waiting less time get served before you, it seemed as though the servers and bar staff favoured the people who would tip them daily over others. I don’t feel you should have to tip every day in an all inclusive hotel. The big positive with the hotel is the location and the wildlife around the hotel. The beach is lovely, and the streams full of fish and turtles around the whole hotel are very nice. Overall I think this is an average hotel, it’s not quite as luxurious as I expected

Fabulous holiday
Just returned from this hotel as a solo parent travelling with 2 children, my daughters 18 & 4 years and we have had a fabulous holiday. The hotel is spotlessly clean and stylish throughout. The pool is great and the youngest was never out, a good temperature too. The mini club had lots of activities during the day with lots of variety and in the evening at the mini disco, Raqcel and Brenda were lovely with my daughter. We tried all 4 of the bookable restaurants and the food and service was great, we went to the steakhouse twice. Both buffet restaurants, crepe and bar were also fab and a good choice of cocktails. Beds were extremely comfortable. We went on trips booked locally and with the tui rep and were looked after each time and felt safe. I honestly cannot fault this hotel in anyway, if I was to comment on anything I would say the room was dated, however I didn’t go to the Dominican to sit and stare at the room, it was clean and the house keeping was perfect, I also had some clothes washed before we came home and as I said the beds were great. Thankyou we really enjoyed our holiday.
