Nov 09, 2025Hyatt Centric is perfection for tourist trip to the city!
What a magnificent stay we had!! Weather could not have been better for a weekend trip to Hyatt Centric FW. Check-in (and out) was a breeze and our room was ready early which was so greatly appreciated! The staff at this hotel is fabulous!! Room is not luxury but it was clean and comfiest bed/pillows ever! Love the TVs cast so we can watch what we want. We had dinner at Brick & Beam - whew it was great! Food was great and service also. We also had breakfast in Wardroom ... not the buffet and it also was excellent ... quality of food - and service - yay! Location of this hotel is ideal for a fun staycation in the city ... very near the cable car and the Wheel and everything Fisherman's Wharf has to offer ... let's face it ... tourist area but fun to play tourists sometimes! We did a day boat cruise and also the Wheel at dusk ... so much fun! There is only valet parking but it was underground and felt safe so worth the $55/day. It's not often mid-70s in the city and we timed it perfectly so also enjoyed the pool and hot tub ... did not use StayFit because we walked a zillion steps while there. Hyatt spoils us so much that it's impossible to stay at any other brands! Ha!

Great Business Trip Experience
My recent visit for Dreamforce was highly satisfactory, characterized by impeccable cleanliness and a prime location. The complimentary morning shuttle to the convention center was a notable convenience. I particularly appreciated the easy accessibility to Pier39 and Ghirardelli Square on foot, and the neighborhood felt quite secure.

The place urgently needs renovation/upgrade and improvement in their housekeeping services. On the positive side would be the location--quite convenient to the attractions on the Wharf--and their Breakfast staff. Overall, it didn't meet what I thought would be a Hyatt experience, much worse than the previous Hyatt Centric that we had stayed at, in Tokyo.

A dump hotel/ motel that smelled. Room was old not well maintained at all. The pictures did not reflect anything close to what we experienced once we arrived.

The Worst Hotel Experience of My Life
This was the worst customer service experience I've had at any hotel in my life. I tried calling in to customer service and they either didn't pick up after 20+ minutes on hold, or transferred me to other people and the call dropped. This happened over and over again. The staff also gave me conflicting information, telling me that I had to sign a cc authorization form three days before entering the hotel or risk not being able to check in, but another person told me that the form could be signed when checking in. Overall, the most disappointing hotel experience I've ever had. I will never, ever stay at a Hyatt-related hotel again. There's something wrong with the Fisherman's Wharf location and I feel bad for other customers who fall for the trap that is this place.
