    Overall, we had a nice stay at TRS Yucatán. We’ve stayed at many hotels in Mexicoover 30 years , primarily all inclusive, and we would rate this good (but not great) in comparison. Pros: On the plus side, the resort is beautiful with a maze of trails and roads meandering through jungle and three beautiful pools that blend into the landscape. The service was good overall, sometimes inconsistent, but as elsewhere in Mexico, they will try to please you and take care of you. The food was good for an all-inclusive hotel. I would not advise that you eat meals at the sister properties, where they advised us the quality goes down. We want to especially mention the Manager at Helios by the name of Carlos, who went out of his way to make sure our eggs were served hot and made sure our Mocha chino coffee was strong enough for our espresso- minded taste. The rooms are very modern and tastefully decorated, if not quite as functional or efficient as one would expect. Cons: the property needs to do a better job of not misleading customers as to what to expect in terms of room views and what amenities are included. In our case, we booked our reservation six months in advance and went online to select a room with an unobstructed ocean view, and we verified this by telephone in advance. We reconfirmed these expectations with the front desk. On arrival the check-in host confirmed our request, however, when we arrived at the room, it had no ocean view. They then moved us to a 2nd room promising this time we would not be disappointed and again no ocean view— it was facing some buildings and trees. If we had not been exhausted from extensive travel, it would’ve made a good comedy! The next day, the manager told us the truth. They did not have any rooms with an ocean view, despite our having booked well in advance, but they upgraded us to a larger room. By then, we had lost a full day of vacation. The property was also somewhat misleading regarding the use of Resort credit. They gave us a book at the check-in which they said was valued at $1500 in credits to use towards spas, massages, etc. but when we actually tried to use the booklet, there was always some reason why they could not accept the coupon. We did not let these negative experiences spoil our trip by any means, but this kind of misleading marketing did leave a negative impression. We travel a lot and we have noticed an increase in misleading marketing. We don’t need a “deal“ but we do expect honesty— if you don’t have a room with an ocean view, say so upfront at the time of booking not upon arrival. If your resort credits are not worth anything, much less $1500, please do not waste our time by pretending it is.

    TRS Yucatan

    We had the most amazing stay, Our room was gorgeous and so comfortable. The Concierges staff are so friendly! They helped us get our dinner reservations all set for the time we were there and also arranged a private romantic dinner for us on the beach and our waiter Alexis was amazing! The dinner was fantastic and the view was incredible. I can’t wait to go back next year!

    A very wonderful place!!!

    Great experience. We love it here. This is our second time back. Patricia- our butler in Villa 67 was absolutely spectacular. Loved all the bartenders and all the restaurants. We also were very impressed with Saul who was our waiter at both the French restaurant and the Mexican night at Capricho. He was so pleasant with such a great attitude. The service this resort is second to none. We will be back.

    Engagement Honeymoon Vacay (with my family)

    Fernando, at the sports center, gave my family and I private instruction on how to play archery! We had an awesome experience learning from him. He was both personal and professional, and I would take another class instructed by him if I had more time!! Everyone needs to meet Fernando!!

    Great stay!

    We had a great stay at Grand Palladium! Carmen and Cindy gave wonderful massages at Zentropia! Fernando at the sports center was super helpful and had a great attitude. Nobody in our group was experienced with a bow and arrow, and he was patient while teaching us. He was fun to chat with, and even gave us recommendations for the remainder of our stay here! Thanks Fernando!
