Excellent vacaciones!!
We loved the hotel! People who worked with us and were just passing by were always kind, hospitable, and ready to help. Miguel from Guest Services assisted us with any questions and requests we had during our stay at Punta Cana Princess. He was always polite and respectful. Between us we called him Mr. Know-All. Thank you! Muchas gracias!!!

No AC! Hot hot hot!
This was our 3rd time, last visit I gave them a 5 star, and debated a 4 star this time but the AC was just SO bad. Alexander excellent at check in Room 5215. Awesome view of beach and pool. Room 27.5 degrees on arrival. Staff said “oh just adjust to 10 & be ok”. Nada. We kept curtains closed all day, fan on. Talked to front desk & they offered to check, have maint, over and ever, etc - but then said building set at 21 so too bad top floors. Asked for floor fan. No go. Saw lots of guests complaining. Staff couldn’t do anything. Seemed that either they didn’t have actual ac and just ran the fans or the princess chain had implemented a cost saving measure. When we were leaving Alex admitted no AC and it’s a problem they know they have to fix. When we were there and fabulous during the day at the beach but Impossible for the body to get a break when outside is 32, no relief from the daily heat, sweating to get showered & dressed for dinner & then only to flop in a 27 degree room to try to sleep. It was very unpleasant and would stop us from returning or recommending. All guests complained about AC. All floors. All buildings. At the end of the trip they said “maybe” they could have moved us to a honeymoon suite and it might have been better. “Might have”. With two nights to go we weren’t going thru the hassle of packing and moving. I’m sure they count on that with most guests. Food very good in buffet. Excellent pasta station, excellent omelettes. Fresh veggies & fruit. Mango must have been off season as only appeared at dinner but passion fruit and watermelon pineapple at all. Lots of salad dressing. La mer near beach iffy at lunch. Drinks very good. Great service at petiti fondue 1x, second visit had some type of kitchen fire that smoked us out before we could eat. Dining is to be walk in no res but twice we tried the Italian and they were holding a waiting list of an hour long (with people coming back at designated times) so was not convenient and as if people had reservations. Great service from Agustin & Israel, Juanma & Elvis at bfast buffet, Jakel & Jose at beach bar, Emanuel & Maritza in lobby, la mer Queslvin, Bianca & Breanney good buffet hostess, Israel for breakfast & lunch & dinner! Emilio for dirty martinis. Ask for what you want and they try their best to accommodate. If not specific it can be iffy, ie say “creamy” pins colada and it’s better. Be sure to sit under fans in buffet. AC in 2 restaurants & Lobby bathrooms. Raul f&b manager highly visible and helping. Saw health & safety crew checking, they said they work really hard on that. We never experienced being ignored as some indicate. We saw how some guests acted and I would ignore them too! Be nice & get treated well. Lucy maid - always concerned that we were happy. Lots of water & beer in fridge & she swapped out Coke for Coke light as requested. Lots of amenities although did take my own shampoo. Everything super clean. All public bathrooms. Beach area awesome on non VIP side No shade on vip side. They have beds rather than loungers but they don’t have covered huts so the non vip side was much better for shade. No beach service on either side. VIP liquor didn’t appear that premium, stoli vodka, JB scotch, every bar was different & if you were nice with tips the bartenders were usually nice to you. Regular rum was great & beer was presidente. Easily able to get Drambuie. Some chair reserving needed but not crazy - you could get close to what you wanted. Don’t go front of beach or be prepared for vendors. Vendors only allowed 2 rows in before security pushed them back. Saw bleach wash of pool bathroom walk area which was positive. Pool very clean - bathing suits did not get bleached out over 10 days. Weekend days were busy with locals but it was never bad or out of control. Beach was smooth - walk in and no shells. If you like finding shells this isn’t the place. Lots of beach to walk in both directions. Grounds were beautiful. Well kept and very pretty. Walked to the associated princess family resort and it was disgustingly filthy, tons of babies & kids in the main big pool area. No comparison for cleanliness. Didn’t eat there but soooo many kids. If they fix in room AC this place is a gem. While none, find another spot!!

Good food and good times but not 4.5 star.
We were very happy with our choice of the PC Princess. I wouldn't rate it at 4.5 or 5 star, but it was still good. The smaller feel of the resort meant everything was close by. We didn't have to rush to save chairs (unless you wait until mid morning). The resort was usually quiet by 10:00pm, and we were never disturbed at night. The rooms and resort were kept clean. The upkeep of the grounds was very good, but the maintenance in the rooms was lacking. The AC worked ok, but it was noisy. It was a consistent noise, so it wasn't too bothersome for us and in fact acted more like a white noise. The design of the room was questionable, as turning on a light in the bathroom means you also light up the bedroom. There's also not a lot of space for clothing storage. All things considered though, the room was all we needed. Food was good wherever we ate. There was always something that we really enjoyed. Coffee was good, and wine was not. We really liked that we did not need to reserve for the ala carte restaurants and could go multiple days. We had mixed experience with the food service staff. At the ala carte's they were generally friendly, but not always at the buffet. At breakfast we always had to wait for coffee, and usually were not offered a second cup before we left. The beach restaurant did have self serve coffee which was great. Activities were generally not to our liking, but others had fun. The activities staff worked hard to get people involved with mixed success. I always look forward to beach volleyball, but the staff were not able to get enough for a full court even once. Equipment was also in poor condition. This resort is all about the beach, and it did not disappoint. The sand it great and the ocean not too rough. We went for long walks in both directions and did not find another resort with a better beach. The sand is kept very clean in front of the resort. The resort is very multinational, so don't expect all staff or guests to speak English. It was great to meet guests from Europe, North and South America. With regards to entertainment, I'd suggest going next door to the sister resort. Having access to the sister resort is great for walks by the ponds and forest. The sister resort also has a great coffee shop and ice cream shop, as well as some eating option not available at the PC Princess. All in all a do again resort if the price is right.

“Beachfront Bliss with Room for Improvement”
Our stay was a mix of highs and lows, but overall, the good moments outweighed the challenges. Upon arrival, we were initially pleased with the beachfront location and the stunning views of the ocean. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the entertainment in the lobby was excellent. The live music added a fun, relaxing vibe, and we enjoyed connecting with other friendly guests. The property also offered a variety of dining options, ensuring there was always something to satisfy our cravings. Unfortunately, our experience with the room was not ideal. The initial room had several issues: a damp, musty smell, uncomfortable bed, a noisy fan, and drainage problems in the shower. The air conditioner also stopped working, and the phone was non-functional. Despite the decent décor, it was evident that the renovations were poorly done. After enduring these issues, we requested a room change. The second room was an improvement, although the lingering smell of moisture persisted, likely due to the humid seaside location. Despite the setbacks with the room, we appreciated the property’s safety, lively atmosphere, and overall amenities. While the rooms could use significant improvement, the beautiful beachfront and quality service made it a memorable getaway. We would return, hoping for better room conditions next time.
