Jan 21, 2025This is a terrible hotel.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is the view if you have an ocean view room. But of course, if you have an ocean view room, then you are subjected to the loud music and noises from the beach side parties that the hotel rents itself out for almost every night like birthday parties, weddings, etc., Given that it’s a fairly isolated hotel, It has very few options for restaurants which means that you’re going to have to travel very far to get any other restaurants and the food is average at best. The hotel isn’t very clean either. The pools are nice, but most of the pool bars aren’t open most of the time, and the beach looks nice, but the water is filthy and I haven’t seen anybody swimming in it. Marriott should be embarrassed this is a Westin property. I’m staying here for business and it’s where the conference that I’m attending is being held, but there is no way in hell I would ever stay here again.

Very very good. Beautiful location food was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Panama City was easy to get to using UBER. We did have an issue with a tour we booked through sunwing, But they rectified it. Highly recommend. Hotel was relatively quiet. There was never an issue getting an a la carte. Do know that there is a large tide. The ocean is swimmable in the afternoon. if you are looking for a party beach vacation this isn't it. If you want a beautiful hotel with easy access to Panama City and surrounding things to see it's perfect.

Amazing experience at the Westin Playa Bonita Panama!
Stayed here for a week in January 2025. Simply an amazing experience overall. Pools are beautiful, grounds are clean and impeccable. My favorite were the two Bar Men Maximo and Reinaldo. These two turned a trip that was great into an amazing experience by going above and beyond every single time. Thank you!

The all-inclusive option is well worth it
This resort was everything we hoped it would be. It was initially a little difficult figuring out how to book with the all-inclusive option because many sites didn't offer that as an option. When we arrived, we were given a bracelet and never paid for anything at the resort. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Equipped with a room safe, fridge, hairdryer. The beds were comfortable with quality bedding. The coffee maker hadn't been cleaned and had water sitting in it and a dead spider. There are several dining options, and we tried each restaurant at least once. Tierra y Fuego: steakhouse. Food was excellent. Starfish Grill: Buffet breakfast. We weren't impressed with the service here at other meals. The staff does not speak fluent English and took a long time to seat us or take orders. Staff is also not friendly. Asiana: Excellent Asian food. My sister had the tuna roll sushi and said it was the best she's ever had. The staff was very friendly and had great service. This was the best experience we had. Pacifica: buffet with several options. We especially loved the eggs to order station. Oregano Italian Deli: more casual, good pizza The pools are beautiful and clean, no problem getting pool towels or drinks. The resort is dog friendly, so it was not uncommon to see people with their dogs walking the beach. There are games such as a ping pong table and shuffleboard table outside that seemed to be very popular. Cons: Communication could really be improved. The hours of the restaurants would occasionally change but there was nothing posted on the doors or in the elevators. The New Year's Eve celebration was spectacular, and the resort went all out for it but not a word was posted anywhere or said to us at check in. There was no strip map of the resort. Unbelievably, it was somewhat difficult and tedious to get bottled water. There was no supply put out anywhere, so we constantly had to ask for some from the restaurants or bars. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend.

Definitely recommend
Well maintained property grounds. The all inclusive option was convenient. We liked dining at Asians restaurant in the night. Swimming pools and beach were fun. Front desk was responsive with issues that came up, though they were a bit slow because of holiday season.
