Westin Playa Bonita; you will want even more!
We have been to Westin P.Bonita and loved it. But they have since done continued renovations, added amenities, and provided both service and courteous personnel that make us keep returning for more. The cuisine (and so many choices "on-site"), elegant suites, landscaping, pools & tikis, and the amazing views in all directions;.....again, we plan to go back for more. Highly recommend to visit, relax, have fun, or whatever your event, dates, or accompany calls for; .... you will plan to return again soon after, for more. And "Cheers" to all the service staff and personnel, even from the Checki-in counter, Sr. Jose.

They (staff) Came to my Rescue! 4/27/25
To the staff at The Westin Playa Bonita Panama...THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID TO HELP ME WHEN I WAS THERE! The doctor was paid cash for his hospitality and I appreciated his prompt, thorough service and evaluation!!! let me back up... So I took a quick 4 day vacay with a Sister/girl to Panama for the beach, spa treatment and the pool. We stayed at the Westin Playa Bonita Panama and found the room great, the food at the 4 restaurants we tried were awesome and the bed and pillows were a hit as well. Drinks and Entertainment were typical. (entertainment was Karaoke). But we had a wonderful time...NO COMPLAINTS/ ALL Good. Well on my last day... after drinks at the pool, rushed to the Spa, got my massage... and could not get up to leave. I know...I was weak and lightheaded. I could NOT get off the table w/o help. My masseuse helped to the locker room where I met my sister friend, I was very dizzy and could not stand without help. I rushed to the bathroom, made it before I got sick on the floor, sat down and could not stand again the staff took charge! The lifeguard and others from the Spa came to help. They got me a wheel chair, took me to my hotel room to wait for the doctor. Once he arrived, he told my friend I was dehydrated (What? How?) Anyway ..and I needed an IV. Gave me the IV while I was half conscious and sat with me until it was finished, I mean bedside for real...he left me with nausea meds, headache meds and electrolyte powders to take then and the next day as I was leaving. I didn't stop throwing up until early AM about 4am when I finally slept for 3 hours without interruption or getting sick again. My sister/friend kept watch over me as I got thru it all. She was so worried but she was a trooper...she took care of me when I couldn't. The staff was amazing as they came through for me, made sure I got the URGENT care I needed that day. I cleaned up my" bedside bag" as I showered and packed and headed for the front desk/ airport. I was remembered by the agent as she said, " Oh she is feeling better!" I said," yessss, thank you guys for all you did for me. How do I thank the Spa staff as well?" Trip Advisor... So here it is. I would definitely come again. Follow up, I've since seen MY PCP, who confirmed I was yet still somewhat dehydrated...I'm on the mend now and headed to the Dominican Republic in June!

Average pools and poor beach
It’s telling that 75% of the beach chairs face the pools rather than the beach. And 90% choose to swim in the pools if at all Buffet breakfast lunch and dinner has a large variety however the quality is not great Starfish food is markedly worse than Pacifica and Pacifica would not be confused with gourmet Most of the tours offered at the tour desk are near Gamboa so the obvious conclusion- go there instead Nothing nearby is interesting Grounds are well kept Linen and maid service good Specialty juice containers at breakfast rapidly drop to a level where nothing flows and they are not refilled No nearby hiking or walking trails In my opinion you can find many better beach hotels

Pleasant Holiday in Panama
Beautiful hotel grounds and pool with well situated rooms. Lobby was a lovely spot to sit for a nice drink…particularly when Edwin was there to create his delicious cocktails. Best mudslide ever! Rooms were clean but have seen better days. However, bedding and towels were lux. Only real limitations were the food options. Aside from the buffet there were three al la cartes but one was out of commission for undisclosed reasons. Overall food quality was ok, but not what you would expect from a 5 star resort. Proximity to Panama City and the Canal is a real positive for this hotel! Watch out for the noseeums…you really can’t see them but you certainly do feel them after they’ve bitten you! Use bug repellent as suggested by the hotel as they are in a rainforest

Dahlia is an amazing server !
Dahlia in the Steakhouse does an amazing job always making sure we were well taken care of ! Love her contagious smile and ambition! The hotel is a 3 star at best ! Property not very clean and a few times we were not left any washcloths - call housekeeping and still no luck! Check to make sure there is not a conference during your stay because it’s complete chaos!
