Beautiful resort north of town. The staff, the property, the rooms--are all above and beyond. We rented a golf cart and cruised into town easily for shopping and dining. Felt like the resort worked really hard to ensure all of our needs were met. Plus the boat transfers are so fun!

Best Resort in Belize!
My wife and I just returned from the most incredible four-day stay at Matachica Resort. Honestly, everything about the resort was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and relaxed. The food was delicious, the drinks were refreshing, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. We had such a good time, and it was the perfect way to relax and recharge.

Spoil yourself
This was my first time in Belize, and I chose Matachica based on the reviews. I can honestly say it was an amazing experience. The resort is beautiful and relaxing, with a very attentive staff. I spent four nights here before meeting up with our kids at an Airbnb closer to town. It was the perfect retreat I needed before the family chaos began.

World Class Reef Snorkeling and Accommodations at Matachica were Extraordinary
Belize reef snorkeling was on our bucket list and the experience was spectacular. The snorkeling and trips arranged by Matachica were extraordinary. Matachica Resort and Spa was absolutely amazing. Clearly a 5 Star resort. Situated 5 miles north of San Pedro kept us out of the crowds. The Seabreeze Room was exquisite. Delicious coffee was delivered each morning to our deck to enjoy the sunrise. Meals at the Bistro restaurant were excellent and seafront dining for all meals was a relaxing special treat. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They expertly arranged several activities that we enjoyed including snorkeling at Mexico Rocks, Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. Simply amazing reef snorkeling. They also provided kayaks to paddle out to the reefs on your own for yet more quality snorkeling - nurse sharks and manta rays. Our stay was a bit on the spendy side but well worth the experience. Highly recommended

Book it......you will not be disappointed
Everything about this resort was a 10! It was out of town but still close enough to run into town with the golfcart we rented in town. The snorkeling just off the beach was incredible and we got there in the kayaks. The service and quality of food & drinks was excellent!
