    Pretty hotel, terrible bed

    The bed was so uncomfortable. Sleep was very difficult. I don't even know what it was, but maybe too firm? The pillows were very short and flat so you needed like 3 or four. Both my husband and I woke up sore and tired every morning.

    Weekend Birthday Celebration

    We came to the Pelican Grand for 2 nights to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends. We also hosted a party on the terrace for friends one of the nights. Overall everything was great. The first night we had an unfortunate experience but the hotel made up for it. The food was excellent. Drinks were good. Our server on the beach Jesse was so friendly and attentive to our large party. The Pelican Grand has an unbeatable view. It’s quiet and peaceful and a great place for rest.

    Very positive we loved the room and again Peter helped us check in with our luggage and check out and get to our taxi.

    Peter made our check-in and out seamless. He is a very positive employee for your hotel. The front desk was very helpful in arranging for transportation to cruise port.

    Clean but no activities

    The hotel itself was very clean, which we appreciated. I gave it 3 stars because we specifically chose this hotel for the daily activities, and when we booked, we planned on those for the kids. There are poolside waiters, but no actual pool bar, which was disappointing and not what we expected. We are here a few more days and hope to find more kids activities

    Five-Star Experience with Matthew at Pelican Grand

    My wife and I had an incredible experience at the Pelican Grand Resort in Fort Lauderdale, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Matthew. From the moment we sat down, he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuinely warm personality made our visit unforgettable. Matthew anticipated things before we even asked, checked on us at the perfect times, and made us feel truly taken care of. Service like his is rare, and he’s a big reason we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend asking for Matthew—you won’t be disappointed.
