Oct 02, 2024Overall a solid all inclusive hotel stay
The staff are super helpful, the rooms are lovely. The buffet food is a great selection but we did find some of the a la carte restaurants to be not so great. There’s loads of wildlife as it’s sort of jungle surrounding the resort so pack strong bug spray (I saw a review saying this and it definitely saved us from being eaten but mozzys!)

The service and food was quite delightful at the Sumptori Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant! Armando (aka Monkey), the Chef, and Jesus our server was very patient and created a very comfortable and fun atmosphere. My mama, sis and I sat with other couples around the Teppanyaki table. Got to know one another for a little bit too.

Sumptouri for the win
Armando and Jesus were great!!!! Fun and attentive. Food and atmosphere at Sumptouri was awesome!!! Armando was the chef and he did great. Jesus made sure we were never without wine. We will be back for a second night during our stay!!! We love it here!

Loved our holiday, great location
Room great very comfortable and clean, great location on the complex, specialist restaurants amazing, especially enjoyed Brazilian, Italian and the show cooking at Sumptuous. Staff friendly. Facilities good throughout complex. Shame coffee machines kept breaking during stay at some of the major bars. Great holiday though 😄

I wrote a review of the first week which I gave the hotel 4 star but my goodness the 2nd week has gone down to a 1* . The hotel staff aren’t interested in any customer service all they are looking for are tips. Our room was only changed once in the second week even though we followed the process of leaving a card on the bed. The restaurant situation is a JOKE today our final day someone in there wisdom in the management team decided it was best to close 2 restaurants for breakfast and only use 1 this led to queues that customers had to stand in for at least 45 minutes. Mexico is a great country but this hotel lets it down and not up to the standards other hotels set.
