We had a great stay
We had a great time at the OUTRIGGER Kauai Beach Resort. I agree with a lot of the reviews; there were a lot of great things about the resort, and a few small improvements to give it a 5. I wish there was an option for 4.5 stars. We found a great deal, so that made our stay even nicer. This is worth $200 a night total with taxes and fees. Not $300-$400 that i was seeing. We would definitely come back here again if we could find the same deal. Positives: 1. Very easy to get to from the airport. $11 uber ride. 2. Check in was smooth 3. Room was clean and a lot of room 4. Pools and hot tub were all nice. 5. Three different happy hours. Drinks are pricy the rest of the time. 6. Food was all great and the prices arent too bad for eating at a resort. The most overpriced things were the breakfast buffet $35 (we just ordered breakfast for around $18), and the cocktails. Would have liked a bloody Mary, but it cost almost as much as my breakfast. 7. Little freebies were nice. Bag, water bottles, and mineral sunscreen. 8. Right on the beach and 6AM sunrise every morning. 9. Gym got the job done, but it needs updating too. 10. I loved the golf course that was right down the road. Negatives: 1. Rooms are being undated, and they definitely need it. 2. You can walk the beach and hang out there. Not a lot of room, but nice to hang out, walk, and a few parts where you can get in the water. Definitely not a swim beach if thats what you are looking for. 3. They need some more chairs and umbrellas. 4. In general, just need to keep the resort updated and looking nice. 5. No one likes extra fees. Resort fee should be included, and that should include your car, which it doesn't. We knew this coming in, but if you didnt look ahead of time, thats an extra $400 for both for the week. People get upset.

Relaxing Kauai Getaway
First time to the outrigger and the drive was short from the airport. The front desk person I met was very friendly, I believe her name is Saddie. She was helpful and every time saw her, she was nice enough to give us tips and things to do in Kauai. We’re from Maui, so this really made us feel like we were at home! The hotel itself is a little older, but it was still relaxing and the pools/jacuzzi were nice to use. It wasnt too busy in Mid May - so we had the pools to ourselves.

Jasmine Ballroom event
Kauai Beach Resort exceeded expectations with its stunning setting and warm, smiling staff who moved quickly to keep everything running smoothly. The environment was clean, pleasant, and perfectly prepared for lunch. The food was so delicious, fresh, and full of flavor—it truly added to the relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere. Every detail felt thoughtful and well-executed, making the entire experience feel like a true island escape.

Great service all around
We held a high school graduation party there. Banquet manager Nelson and his amazing staff took care of our needs with exceptional service. Food was great as well. The graduate chose the Puna Lunch Buffet which the main dishes were baked fish and kalbi steak. He made a perfect choice! We will definitely be back to do more events there. Looking forward to working with Nelson, his amazing team along with Senior Catering Sales Manager, Trichael. Way to go!!!

Family Trip
Angel at the Outrigger’s front door warmly greets and welcomes you and always lends a hand to give helpful advice for your trip. He is terrific. Adara at the Concierge desk planned our entire stay and made sure we had a super fun filled and balanced itinerary. Angel gave great recommendations for the best places to see huge turtles snd snorkel. Adara recommended Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tour, Kopee State Park to see the gorgeous canyon views, and surfing at Hanalei Beach was great too. Thank you for all of your recommendations, and for Angel and Azara’s helpfulness! We highly recommend booking a stay here.
