Great time !
I had a wonderful time at PH. The people work hard and do their best to make the time there restful and entertaining. Alexa and the pool staff are entertaining and engaging. The resort is beautiful and the staff take pride in their work . Noelia and her staff were very helpful and kind. I couldn’t have had a better time. Congratulations to PH for making a memorable vacation for me.

Great for our three generation family vacation.
This, for a three generation family vacation, was a great resort and experience. First the positives. The staff all seemed to be happy to be at work and were always trying to help. The buffet (special thanks to Micky the hustler) suppers were all very good to excellent and this was the best buffet experience overall we have experienced. The breakfasts were very good, loved the fresh fruit, but the baked goods and the popcorn were excellent. The cafe was excellent.The a la carte restaurants ranged from good with the Italian and the Steak being excellent. The beach is nice, when the tide is out you can put in long walk and walk over to the marina near by. Nightly entertainment was great, there were movies playing. There were monkeys near the beach, howler monkeys close by, and a great nature walk every day. The staff did pool activities, there was only one day when chairs by the pool were scarce and that was because the resort reserved 20% of them for a tire company and they didn't use them? If you want private pool and shaded cabana as shown in picture then you will pay for the upgrade. Key learnings: 1) Rooms: Not all the buildings have elevators, the air conditioning is not in your control and can range from 22 C to meat locker, we had to use blankets, and the light switches, see picture, have to have the green dot on to work. 2) If you want alcohol better pay for the upgrade, we were there to see the kids and grandkids so not a big deal but top shelf has more kick. 3) Weekends seem to be shift change and you need patience as room keys may no work, bags may not be carried, as they appear to be short staffed. Conclusion: we all, and particularly the kids (mid thirties) and grandkids loved it. Great holiday, won't forget it.

Formal complaint
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the overall experience during my recent stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica. What should have been a relaxing and enjoyable visit was overshadowed by a serious incident and the subsequent mishandling of the matter by your leadership team. On the evening of my arrival, I discovered that money was missing from my room. I immediately reported this to hotel leadership, who advised that an investigation was underway. Unfortunately, I had to repeatedly chase staff over several days for updates, as no one proactively communicated with me. When the investigation concluded, I was again not contacted, leaving me to follow up on my own. This lack of communication and accountability was both unprofessional and dismissive of the seriousness of the situation. Throughout this process, I requested multiple times that the police be called to properly document the incident. My requests were denied, which I find unacceptable. It was later shared that housekeeping had re-entered my room on the evening of check-in without any justification being provided. This revelation only heightened my concerns about security and transparency. I spoke extensively with Manager Noella, providing clear feedback on the poor level of accountability and communication demonstrated by the leadership team. She acknowledged my professionalism and calm demeanor, and assured me that my account would be credited for the cabana rental as a gesture of goodwill. However, she failed to follow through—neither contacting me as promised nor adjusting my charges. This further illustrates the lack of reliability and integrity in the handling of this matter. Instead of addressing the theft, I was told that I should have used the safe, as though that absolves the hotel of responsibility. This response was dismissive and inappropriate, particularly given that staff have access to the safes as well. The entire situation gives the impression that the hotel worked to cover up the incident rather than resolve it. I also requested to speak with Oliver Bethfold, the General Manager, and was denied his company email address. This refusal to provide access to senior leadership further demonstrates the disregard shown toward guests who raise legitimate concerns. This experience was unacceptable, and I expect Marriott to take immediate action to address the failures in communication, accountability, and guest safety demonstrated by Planet Hollywood Costa Rica. I request a formal response, a full investigation into the incident, and appropriate compensation for the theft and the mishandling of the situation. I will continue to escalate this matter until it is properly addressed.

Romantic dinner
Romantic dinner was amazing. Food was good and Caesar made us feel so welcome and special. We were on the roof top above the gift shop. Secluded and private. Nice playlist in the background.

Fantastic Vacation!!
From the minute we arrived, we felt Special! The staff, the accommodations, the restaurants, drinks- amazing!! Always activities to enjoy as well- shout out to Leonardo, Josh and Steven for taking such good care of us!!
