Grounding of 737 MAX 8 Aircraft

Nov 14, 2019

If you need further assistance, please contact us at 888-558-6654.

Overview

Southwest Airlines continues to monitor information from Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on the impending 737 MAX software enhancements and training requirements. We remain confident that, once certified by the FAA, the enhancements will support the safe operation of the MAX.

Based on continued uncertainty around the timing of MAX return to service, we have proactively removed the MAX from our flight schedule through March 6, 2020.

Please refer to Airline Policies for any information that may affect your flights.

We also recommend that you check your flight status by calling the airline or verifying flight times online prior to proceeding to the airport.

We will continue to monitor and update this information as changes occur.
