The 1,500 acre community of Wailea is along a scenic and sunny coastline renowned for its spectacular views of Kahoolawe, Molokini and Lanai. Protected in the lee of Mount Haleakala, Wailea receives an annual rainfall of only 11 inches or so, and the wind rarely exceeds a cool breeze. Carved into the shoreline are five whitesand crescent beaches that have been ranked among the best in the country, all connected by a paved path that meanders along the coastline. Wailea is home to luxury resorts, condos, tennis, dining, spas, shopping and golf. During the winter months, whales are a common sight throughout Wailea.
