CONDITIONS IN RESORT & HOTEL STATUS:

Riviera Maya beckons while Cancun rapidly mends.

Repairs to Cancun are being made quickly, and it is clearly on the mend. Electricity, drinking water, drainage and phone service are now completely restored, and the city is now working hard to give its famous hotel zone a facelift-- replanting gardens, repaving streets, repairing sidewalks and bike paths, replacing trees and installing new lighting and signs. And while things are quickly getting back up to speed in Cancun, the Riviera Maya, largely unaffected by the recent hurricane, is looking great! USA 3000 flights have resumed, hotels are 90 percent operational and stores, restaurants, bars and shops are open and ready for business. Most fun-filled excursions are up and running, and Playa del Carmen is as vibrant as ever. In fact, 5th Avenue is the place to be!

Fly non-stop to Cancun this Fall with APPLE VACATIONS and enjoy the finest hotels in the Riviera Maya.

Many USA 3000 Airlines and APPLE VACATIONS’ charter and scheduled flights to Cancun are operating as scheduled.  Complete Fall Flight Schedules: Baltimore, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Denver, Detroit, Dallas Fort Worth, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Newark, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis.

Special Note for those traveling to Cancun December 17-31: The hotels in Cancun and the surrounding areas that were damaged by Hurricane Wilma are vigorously working to make all repairs and be fully operational prior to the upcoming December holiday season. Many of the hotels in the Riviera Maya are already open and fully operational and are currently hosting Apple clients. Although we are hopeful that all hotels will be ready to accept guests by their projected re-opening dates, predicting re-opening dates after a reconstruction is an inexact science. In the event that some hotels have to postpone their re-opening as the holidays near, alternate accommodations may no longer be available. Therefore, we encourage travelers departing December 17-31 who are booked at a hotel scheduled to open during this date range to consider changing to a hotel that is already open and fully operational. Please contact your travel agent should you decide to change your booking to an alternate hotel, all Apple change fees will be waived and their “AV-OK” policy and premium (if applicable) will remain active.

Hotel Status: We have received many inquiries regarding the condition of the hotels in Cancun, Riviera Maya and Cozumel. While a number of hotels are already accepting guests, others have sustained more damage and will be open at varying times over the next couple of months. In general, hotels in Riviera Maya were less affected than those in Cancun and many hotels in this area are operational and are already accepting vacationers.
