What if a passenger was traveling to Cancun between July 17 and July 18 2005?

Those who were scheduled to travel on Apple-scheduled vacation flights via USA3000 or charter flights from any cities may re-book their same trip at no additional cost under the following guidelines:
 a) must book the rescheduled trip by July 22, 2005
 b) travel must originate on or before September 30, 2005
 
Passengers booking the same vacation will have their rate protected - no increases will be collected or refunds issued. Passengers who are changing destination, departure city,
airline, hotels or duration will be charged the new package price.

 

For passengers scheduled on flights that did not operate on Sunday, July 17, 2005, to Cancun via USA3000 Airlines, the follow options are available:

 

Passengers Choosing to Re-Book their Vacation:

a)must re-book by July 22, 2005

a)travel must originate on or before September 30, 2005

 

Passengers booking the same vacation will have their rate protected - no increases will be collected or refunds issued. Passengers who are changing destination, departure city, airlines, hotels or duration will be charged the new package price.

 

Passengers Choosing to Cancel their Vacation:

Apple Vacations will refund the full cost of your vacation in vacation certificates good for travel originating on or before December 15, 2006.  November 18 – 25, 2005.BLACKOUT DATES NEEDED

 

For passengers on a Scheduled Carrier the follow options are available:

 

What if a passenger was traveling to Cancun between July 19 and July 22, 2005?

For passengers scheduled on flights to Cancun via USA3000 Airlines or other charter airlines, the follow options are available:

Passengers Choosing to Re-Book their Vacation:

Passengers who are traveling between July 19 & 22 and wish to travel at another time may re-book without any penalties or additional costs under the following conditions:

a)Must cancel prior to scheduled flight’s departure

a)Vacation must be re-booked by July 29, 2005

a)Travel must originate on or before September 30, 2005, on USA3000 Airlines or Apple Charters.

Passengers booking the same vacation will have their rate protected - no increases will be collected or refunds issued. Passengers who are changing destination, departure city, airlines, hotels or duration will be charged the new package price.

Passengers Choosing to Cancel their Vacation:

For travelers who choose to cancel completely, Fair Trade Contract cancel penalties apply.

What if a passenger is traveling to Cancun originating July 23, 2005 and onward?

For travelers who booked a hotel that is open and accepting new passengers:

If traveling on USA3000 Airlines and other Apple Charter Flights regular

Fair Trade Contract applies for those passengers who choose to cancel their vacation.

 

For passengers who booked a hotel that is not accepting new arrivals:

 

If traveling on USA3000 Airlines and other Apple Charter Flights :

How long will it take to get a Vacation Certificate?

Hurricane certificates will be issued between two to four weeks from the date of cancellation.

What type of vacation packages do Vacation Certificates cover? 

Travel certificates may be used for Apple Vacations’ packages on USA 3000 Airlines or charter air or the land only portion of any other Apple vacation.

How will I receive my AVOK premium back?

Normally the AVOK premium is non-refundable. A special exception is being made for all passengers

a.      scheduled to travel on July 17, 2005 2005

b.        scheduled to travel on any date where the hotel booked was unable to accept the guest and the guest was unable to re-book their vacation. 
 

The passenger will be refunded the cost of their AVOK premium in one special hurricane voucher that is valid for travel until December 15, 2006.

What if I cannot secure the same destination, departure city, hotel or duration due to availability by September 30, 2005?

Select another Apple vacation via USA 3000 Airlines or Apple Charter package for the same time period

and pay (or be refunded) the difference between the two packagein  prices.

For passengers who change a component of their trip that causes the price to decrease, how will they be refunded?

If the exact same vacation is bought, there is no additional money required or refunded. If the destination or hotel is changed, the difference in payment will be refunded or added utilizing the same method of payment used to purchase the original vacation.

What did Apple Vacations do to protect passengers that were in resort prior to Hurricane Emily hitting the area?

Apple Vacations notified our destination management company to adhere to the Hotel and Civil Defense Evacuation Procedures.  Also, Apple Vacations flew eleven additional aircraft into Cancun on Sunday, July 17, to evacuate as many passengers as possible before the airport closed.

What did Apple Vacations do to protect passengers that were in hotels that were damaged by Hurricane Emily?

With very limited communications available, and where and when it was possible, alternate accommodations were provided. Alternate hotel accommodations were and continue to be extremely limited.
