Daytime temperatures range from the mid-70s to mid-80s, slightly warmer in the summer. The northeast trade winds provide refreshing breezes, rain usually falls only during the evening and early morning hours.

Po'ipu lies on the sunny and dry side of Kauai's South Shore. One of the nation's top 18 golf courses is Po'ipu Bay Golf Course. The Travel Channel once named Po'ipu Beach 'America's Best Beach'. Po'ipu Beach is most famous for the endangered Hawaiian monk seals that sometimes sunbathe on the shore.
