the only problem we had was a lack of service in the mini bar in the room. We drink rum and was told they did not stock that in the room. The maid service was good but we only got a turn down in the evening a couple of times. All in all it was a great vacation .. More>

This facility is exactly as advertised. This is a boutique style resort with a common goal throughout its staff of complete satisfaction. This facility is exactly as advertised. This is a boutique style resort with a common goal throughout its staff of complete satisfaction. I have been to many resorts and without question, this facility offers the most peaceful and relaxing experience. Service is beyond expectation and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I did not pass by a single staff member without being warmly greeted. If you are looking for a party resort this is not the place. However, if you are looking for a classy, private, service oriented resort where you can relax and enjoy good food and friendly conversation with both staff and guests, then this is the place for you.

As a single woman, I found that I was often ignored in the restaurant and at the pool. At one point, I left the Kaax restaurant crying as I experienced a long wait without water or food. The management consoled me and I received excellent room service. Couples fared much better with attentive servi .. More>

The Canoe restaurant provided outstanding gourmet meals and the service was much better. The spa, jetted salt water pool, fresh water pool and grounds were excellent. I booked this resort specifically to destress and came away with a healthier body due to the spa, fresh organic food, and peaceful nature. It would have been perfect if the service at the Kaax and pool had been better.

TRANSFER TO HOTEL WAS LATE AND CONFUSING. WAITED FOR 30 MINUTES FOR PRIVATE TRANSFER. Room was awesome, oceanfront and private, best view ever, but tractor starts cleaning beach at 7:30 am to about 10:00: loud and distracting. Weather was unusual in that cold front hovered for 2 days and the only heated pool was unheated for 2 days and red flags prohibited ocean swimming. So therefore first 2 days were awash. This was the good and the bad, so depending on your priorities will reflect your satisfaction. As stated in reviews, beds are very hard. I'm pretty resilient but woke up with sore back. Main advantage to me was room placement, privacy (true oceanfront without obstruction)of patio pool.

We spent 5 nights at Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita from 5/9-5/14. Arrival: We arrived at the Cancun airport to be picked up in a nice Mercedes Benz van and received cold water and washcloths as well as a chilled bottle of sparkling wine. Our driver, Jorge was great! After arriving at the gorgeous property, we were immediately met by Myra who gave a tour of the property and then showed us to our lovely room. Room: Our suite name, Durban, was the third suite from the main buildings and was so close to everything. No plunge pool, but from what others said we didn't miss anything. The rooms were cleaned at least 2x a day and were huge and well furnished. Gorgeous views! Loved waking up and going to sleep hearing the waves! Food: No buffets! Breakfast was great. There is only one choice for breakfast, Kaax, but that is all you need! The fresh squeezed juices at breakfast was awesome! You can also eat room service on your balcony, but the breakfast on the patios with the harpist was lovely. Watch out for sneaky birds and the iguanas! Lunch: We typically ate at our bed by the pool or at the Hippo bar. I am still just confused at the reviews that said the service at the pool was poor and that you can't eat at the pool. That is a load of bull****. Many options for lunch! You can order food from the sushi/ceviche bar (the ceviche with grouper is VERY good) and El Chirungito. Dinner: DIning outside at El Chirungito was lovely and everything from their grill was great. Kaax also had excellent food. La Canoa seemed to be trying too hard, although the lamb chops were cooked perfectly. Overall, the food was great and that is coming from two foodies. Much better than food at other AI resorts. Drinks/Bar: Great drinks and great top-shelf options (Crown, Grey Goose, Don Julio, etc.). The bartenders were awesome and had great suggestions. Wine is a bit pricey, but if you are like me and needed a break from hard liquor, it was a necessary expense. Bartenders are super fast! Service: Roomservice is super quick! Service at meals and pool/beach area was also very fast. At the last AI resort we stayed at (450+ rooms and 7 restaurant choices) meals took FOREVER (especially waiting just to get a table)! Here, there is no wait and we went to dinner every night at a different time (7, 8, 9, etc.) Pool service is great! Antonio and Eric are awesome and would see us at breakfast and ask us what pool bed we would like so they could make it for us. Victor on the beach is great too! Overall, I can't say enough great things about the staff! Pool/ Beach area: The pool was beautiful and never too crowded. People come and go at the pool all day, so there is never a problem finding a spot. The beach is a bit rocky, but nonetheless fabulous. If you want a covered bed at the beach you better stake one (you can just put your beach bag on it, everyone does this so its not frowned upon) out by 7:30 am. They are very nice and comfy especially when you are hungover and sunburned form the day before. Grounds: Fabulous and lush! Iguanas and parrots were entertaining to watch. The birds were annoying, but are easily scared away. Entertainment: If you want to do conga lines around the pool, listen to loud crappy music at the pool, have a rip-roaring good time, shut the bars down at 2am doing shots, this is not the place for you. If you seek tranquility, romance, quite reading at the beach/pool, and overall peacefulness, this is the place to be! I usually sleep in until 10 or so, but found myself up at 8 or so daily and in bed around 11 or 12. The bars close at 11, but that wasn't a problem for us because if you slip the bartenders a few dollars you can get a couple drinks "to-go." The catamaran cruise/snorkeling trip ($95 USD per person) was excellent and worth every penny! We only had 8 people in our group. Snorkeling at the 2nd largest coral reef in the world was great. We have snorkeled at this reef before, but in a group of like 30 and saw very few fish since their were so many people. On this snorkeling trip however, we saw barracuda, eagle rays, huge coral, and fish of all shapes, sizes, and colors! After snorkeling for an hour, we ate (ceviche, pico, chips, grilled chicken and veggie kabobs) and drank on the back of the catamaran and then sailed for like 2 hours. It was great and I highly recommend it! Other things I need to add: While we were there the hotel was at 85% capacity, but I would have guessed about 60% if someone had not told us. We never felt crowded! Kids: Although the resort welcomes kids, there is not a lot for them to do. We don't have kids, but love kids and the 2 kids there were perfect. I wouldn't recommend bringing a whole family of kids here, but if you have 1 well behaved kid I would say bring them. Please don't mark this resort off your list if you aren't a kid person and don't want to be around them. Trust me, you won't even notice they are there. Tips: A few dollars here and there go a long way. We would tip our pool/beach waiter about $12 USD/ day, breakfast $2-3, lunch $2-3, dinner $8-10, bartenders $2 or 3 a day for each (there were typically like 3 a day who would be our "go-to" bartenders). When we go to all-inclusive resorts, we bring about $300 in cash (small bills) and we feel we receive much better service. We didn't see a lot of tipping, but my husband and I like to acknowledge hard work and these guys work hard! Timeshare pushing: There was none of this! When you go get your resort credits, you speak with a man who recommends touring the other resorts and all that timeshare crap, but when you say no they don't bother you anymore. At this resort, your wish is their command. Overall, I can't say enough great things about this resort and can't wait to return next year!

We went for our honeymoon and had an incredible time! The room was gorgeous and even smelled fantastic! The cleaning service was awesome cleaning and making the bed several times per day. The special turn down service for honeymooners was also very nice and romantic. It was very warm, but the breeze was constant, so it was comfortable. We didn't experience any problems with bugs of any kind. The food was different at times, but them again we were in a different country. The breakfast is incredible! We went every morning and it was very consistent and fresh! We loved sitting outside for breakfast and dinner because the weather was so nice. The drinks are top notch and if you go you have to try the Mambo Lei Lei! The people are very energetic and helpful. The office staff was always willing to help and quick with any requests. Tips did help with the poolside service but weren't always needed. The pool was gorgeous as was the whole property. We enjoyed the short walks from the pool and restaurants back to our rooms and the iguanas and peacocks were fun to look at. Overall, we would highly recommend it and can not wait to go back!

We are not "all-inclusive" travelers, but after a long & difficult winter we thought we would try somewhere that required no thinking. We could not have picked a better place. The hotel, amenities and staff are first class. Our stay was enhanced by a staff that went the extra mile. From Valter and Alain at check-in, to Jose & Walter at breakfast (who took the time to learn our likes), to Victor and Antonio at the pool (always available to get a drink or umbrella), to Enrique & Rudy (ready to give us a lift) they knew our names and treated us like friends. We enjoyed getting to know them. The rooms are very comfortable and all have a view of the ocean. I came with an ankle injury that made walking long distances difficult and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Dining was another surprise. Our one other experience with an "all-inclusive" was the plethora of buffet meals. You won't find a single buffet here. All the meals were served in the various dining venues. There was an adequate selection and the food was good. One complaint - hot food was not always as hot as we would have liked. The staff was very accommodating with regard to any special food issues (allergies, etc). We thought an addition to the menu could be a 'SPECIAL DISH OF THE DAY". While the menu is varied it would have been nice to look forward to seeing something new. The wi-fi could be improved. We had difficulty getting a signal in our room. We were sad to leave and know that Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita is a special place that we look forward to visiting again. We miss our new friends.

Let me begin by saying that nothing in this wonderful world of ours is perfect. I gave this resort a five star rating because my wife and I had a great time at a very luxurious resort with minimal negative issues. The minute you arrive at the Zoetry Paraiso De La Bonita, get out of your transfer vehicle, and see those smiling,happy faces of the welcoming staff, you get a feeling of euphoria.The resort is bathed in tropical flowers and vegetation. Huge 'KING' Palms tower majestically along the entire length of the beautifully designed low rise buildings.Each suite of the resort faces the ocean. Each suite has two large balconies where you can enjoy a room service meal , a glass of wine or...a glass of chilled champagne.The very positive concept of having all the suites located in a line along the ocean, has a minimally negative effect of having the last suite some distance away from restaurants, bars and the pools.If you are an avid walker, that should not pose a problem. On many occasions my wife and I enjoyed the walk to or from our suite.Golf cart rides are provided after a phone request.I mention this minor issue because while it is not too inconvenient, on occasion the wait for a cart was excessive. The facility has two first class restaurants.The food, the service, the ambiance makes dining a very enjoyable experience. Beautiful harp playing during breakfast is a real treat, but watch out for fast flying pesky blackbirds, which in a moment of inattention snatch food out of your hand. The ever present iguanas also add to the tropical charm of this beautiful Zoeltry resort. Zoetry Paraiso is a member of the Luxury Hotels of The World group, and it is very evident that it maintains very high standards. It is environmentally stunning and beautiful and has a very extensive thalasso spa.To me the most enjoyable part of the spa was the large open air Hydro-therapy salt water pool. Go for it ! It's warm water will relax you. You can enjoy it as long as you like without any appointments.. Zoetry resort is mainly a tranquil facility. There is no loud music or rowdy game playing anywhere. My wife and I enjoyed that immensely.Although some beautiful Mexican music would add to the charm of the evening. We also enjoyed a very lively and boisterous conversations with our new found friends at a very happy lounge bar by the warm water swimming pool. It is a luxurious place with world class service that I recommend, and look forward to our next visit.

Do you want to be pampered during your vacation AKA escape? GO TO ZOETRY PARAISO DE LA BONITA. We've been twice and we'll go every year...we're even going to renew our vows there! We're already married, but being there makes us want to get married all over again. You'll fee great when you see that Zoetry driver waiting for you while everyone wrestles for a cab or their bus. And as you walk to your personal vehicle you'll be glad you did. And you'll feel even better after your driver offers you a chilled towel and drink to freshen up as soon as you step in the car. Vacation has officially begun... After you take a short trip to the resort in your Navigator or Escalade, you'll be greeted with fresh ice tea by concierge who will act like they've known you since grade school. They're incredibly warm, respectful and seemingly genuine. It's obvious that they love what they do. They're great at it. You'll check in, take in the ambiance and get a personal golf cart ride to your amazing room. When you walk in you'll notice the emaculate room, the chich furniture, the nice sitting area in the living room, the gorgeous view from your private balcony and the overall cleanliness. You'll find your fresh fruit, a chilled bottle of champagne and a full bottle of tequilla waiting for you too. And then you walk into the sleeping area. The beds are SO COMFORTABLE. They're high up and give you a little extra luxury atop a marble base. The incredible bathroom is adjacent - you have a very romantice shower (fit for two XOXO) and an even more romantic bathing pool. I say bathing pool and not bathtub, because "bathtub" does not do it justice - trust me. There are his and her sinks which I love. And since maid service is three times a day, you are pampered with top of the line BVLGARI bath products which smell and feel divine. In addition to incredible housekeeping, they also provide a turndown service. They set out your robes, places notecards with special notes and flowers on your bed - every night. They also give you a daily newsletter which doesn't sound like much, but it's a little something extra and it's fabulous. It's tells all of the resorts activities for the next day and the rest of the week, it advises guests of special occassions such as on-site festivals, provides weather and drinks-of-the-day updates. The three restaurants on the property are each unique and provide amazing food. Whether you're looking for something casual from the grill (our favorite was the catch of the day - fresh, grilled, whole fish with roasted vegetables and rosemary), a nice night out at Kaax (we loved everything there, really), or something elegant for fine dining (we loved the rack of lamb and filet) - it's all amazing. Each restaurant complements the entire experience since each is so unique. Oh, not to mention the ROOM SERVICE! Delicous. DE-licious!!! ABOVE ALL - the service is what really sets this place apart. It's beautiful, clean, safe, exclusive - yes. But the service is unparalleled. If you REALLY want to treat yourself and your special someone, take them to Zoetry. Ask for Raffa in concierge because he will take great care of your every need right away. Great guy. When you're at the pool sit in Victor's section - TRUST ME. And when you're eating at Kaax - ask for Antonio or Jesus - they're fabulous. They're all great, really - but Raffa and Victor really go that extra mile (more like 10 miles) to make sure you feel taken care of and are enjoying yourself every second they see you and then some. Go to Zoetry. Seriously.
