Email | Share |

The idyllic retreat of your dreams awaits at Villa La Estancia in Los Cabos, Mexico, known for its unparalleled service, sophisticated style, and tranquil setting. Gaze at the sun-drenched gardens and handsomely constructed Spanish Colonial architecture as you enter the grand lobby of the luxurious Villa La Estancia Los Cabos. Located on scenic Medano Beach near sister properties Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa and Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa, this exclusive resort prides itself on offering magnificence amidst a relaxed setting.

All deluxe suite villas are furnished in an elegant Spanish Colonial and Hacienda style and feature spacious, well-appointed accommodations, generous amenities, private balconies, and full spa bathrooms. Add in the lushly landscaped gardens, decadent Desert Spa, top-notch gourmet cuisine, and unparalleled hospitality and you have a recipe for the ideal luxury getaway.

The restaurants offer traditional Mexican dishes like tacos and hearty enchiladas, but the menus also run far deeper. Those with discerning taste can experience fine, exotic cuisine prepared by expertly trained chefs, like the catch of the day straight from the Sea of Cortes. Other guests indulge in home-away-from-home favorites like fresh green salads and homemade sandwiches. Whatever you wish for, it is here.

It's a tough choice between reclining beside the lagoon-style, multi-level pool, building sandcastles on the beach, snorkeling in turquoise blue waters, or shopping along Boulevard Marina. You can do it all. Or simply do nothing at all.

Note: Water based activities are cancelled until further notice.

Relaxing Beach With Awesome Service

Plenty of positive things to say about this place. It's in a quiet spot and the service is outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable. The landscaping neatly kept. The pool was a bit boring for us. We preferred staying onthe beach. I highly commend Imelda (the gatekeeper) for helping us find our teenage daughter, who made friends in the resort and would leave the room without telling us. The beach concierge (the guy from Rosarito) was also very friendly and helpful. La Casona wait-staff were very friendly, particularly Santiago, Fernando, and Oscar. On our last breakfast they gave us a nice good bye pastry. The wifi wasn't very good in our room (that's a good thing if you need to disconnect). More>

Beautiful resort but could work on a few small things

We stayed at the Estancia because our friend was having her wedding through this resort and the Estancia is suppose to be the nicest. We booked through the resort with the all inclusive package they had offered for her wedding. Overall I didn't feel the resort was worth what we paid. First, upon arrival everyone was extremely helpful and professional. Check in was a breeze and a lady escorted us to our room and showed us around. She also went over the property map and a list of restaurants of what was included and what wasn't with the all inclusive for all the resorts. First impression of the room was good, it was clean, big, and the bathroom was large. But as soon as the lady who showed us the room left and I went on the balcony, I realized that we had a shared balcony. This was extremely surprising (since none of the reviews or anything I had seen on the resorts website mentioned or showed this); also awkward when a stranger came out one morning while I was enjoying my morning in peace. I do not feel such a high end resort should have shared balconies. Also the tv in the room was dated, the mattresses of the queen beds were quite firm, the pillows where terrible (flat with not much to them), the fridge was empty (but they did give us two bottles of room temperature water every day). I'm not sure if all the rooms are like this since they are all condos but this was definitely the case in ours. On the positive side is the large bathroom, safe, and the room service did do an excellent job at cleaning and taking care of our room everyday. We ate at the outdoor restaurant right beside the pool first for lunch. Service was professional although very slow and the food was average. We had a few drinks I've the next few days from the pool bar, some were good some were not so good. My favorite was the Cabo Dream. We also ate at the la Casona for dinner and breakfast. For dinner we shared the scallops for an appetizer and I had the sea bass for my main meal both were excellent, although my friend got a steak ( I don't recall the cut) but she said it wasn't very good and that it was tough (I could also see her trying to cut around the fat, which was almost the entire thing). For breakfast la Casona does buffet and if was average for a buffet nothing special. We also ate at the sister resort Villa del Palmer for lunch where we had a salad, mozzarella and tomatoes, and a pizza. Again everyone was very kind but service was slow. And somehow we got our pizza before the salad and other app. Most of our other meals were from a special menu for the wedding and they were again average. The pool and grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. To the point you'll forget your in the desert and think your in the jungle or Caribbean. The grass and the vegetation appears tropical! One morning I got up early and tried to get a pool towel at 7:40am, but I was politely informed the towel cabana opened at 8... So I sat and watched the ground keepers work and I can definitely say the ground keepers work hard for their money and they don't miss a thing! The beach is suppose to be swim-able but the entire time the flag was red (no swimming) and the current seemed to be quite strong. Not what I would consider swim-able but some people were in the water. It is a public beach and the amount of people trying to sell things is overwhelming, especially if your not expecting it. Also I found it amazing that the resort has roped off areas for guests and lounge chairs but if a guest sits in the chair the hagglers will walk up to the rope and pester the guests. Overall being on the beach was not enjoyable. My friends wedding was a dream. She ended up doing the ceremony at Villa la Palmar and Rocio was the best wedding coordinator a girl can hope for. She made sure everything was perfect and in order. She helped my friend with everything and went above and beyond what was expected. Also the scenery and placing of the wedding was breathtakingly gorgeous. I highly recommend doing your wedding here if that's what your looking for. This resort is the perfect resort for a young family or older couple looking for quiet, peace, and relaxation. Their isn't service elevators so that was a little odd to me but the security is very good and we always felt safe while there. Everything shuts down at 10:30 (even the bar at Villa la Palmar) so if you wish to continue your vacation evening with a few more drinks you have to either take it to your room (where hopefully you have some alcohol that you purchased) or go to a different bar not within the resort (and in our case not within our all inclusive). All and all this resort needs to work on some very minimal things and it is a beautiful high class resort. Is it what your looking for and is it worth their price? Those are questions I feel very depending on what you want out of a vacation and what you expect. Just keep reading reviews and ask the resort any questions you have, everyone is very helpful! More>

Quiet & Relaxing

Rooms were large, modern, and clean. Service is great everywhere in the property from the beach area, restaurant, lobby, and front gate. Place was not very crowded and fairly quiet, especially after dark. Nice touch from hotel staff with cake and birthday message on the bed for my wife. I think food quality at both fancy restaurant and grill next to the pool is "bleh", but they're convenient with good service. Overall, a great resort with nice balance of serene atmosphere in modern quiet resort close to the marina. More>

Stayed in a two (2) bedroom villa. Our first time there. Opened the doors to Villa's A and B and immediately taken by the size of the rooms, cleanliness, decor and amenities.. Walked to the deck and the ocean view was amazing! As many have stated, the hospitality was over the top! I'm an early riser so would walk around in the morning; even the property maintenance crew would give you a hearty 'buenos dias'! The entire hospitality team in the lobby, including the valet and 'bell' team were MORE than helpful. Pool service was outstanding (Miguel, Lara, Ociele (sp)! Drinks and food were very good! Definitely coming back! More>

Beautiful property...wonderful amenities. We booked through VRBO...and it was a perfect experience. The unit was spotless...kitchen included everything we needed to cook family meals whenever we decided to dine in. Truly...a beautiful place to relax and unwind. More>
