Love Cabo
Dec 30 2016
My daughter and I were very pleased with every aspect of our trip to Cabo! The hotel is gorgeous all of the staff friendly and helpful. The food was over the top especially at Bella California and we cannot wait to return to this beautiful place!

Beautiful view, helpful staff

The hotel was beautiful but the beds are crazy, double beds for adults is just too small. The bell hop's were fast and did a great job, other then the day of our arrival, took a little longer then average to get the bags, had to wait an hour.

I will never recommend or go to any of the Villa Hotels, it took 3 rooms before we got one that was ok, it took the whole day so we lost a whole day of fun in the sun, Never Never Again!!!!!

Horrible experience, I travel all the time and will not be using Apple Vacations again, there was never a rep available the whole trip, the hotel mgr told us they are never there, this was a big mistake choosing this vacation and very costly, everyday someone else would say how terrible the place was also......Our suitcase went flying out of the back of the van that we had on our way home and is totally damaged the door opened because it was never securely shut....from beginning to end...utter hell.

Wrong Accomimodations!!!
Jun 30 2014
When I booked my vacation it was understood that I requested a deluxe suite, like I had on my last vacation. When I arrived I had a queen size bed when I know I requested a King. I didn't get the requested suite nor was I offered and up grade. I called apple twice and never got a response from anyone at Apple Vacations. Let it be known from this day forward I will not use or recommend Apple Vacations. I paid in full at the time of my reservation, I was very unhappy with my accommodations.

Worth it if you don't mind the timeshare push
Jun 09 2014
The hotel was great! It was on the beach, had three pools, lots of food choices, and great rooms. We were treated very well there. My kids, aged nine and twelve loved it. The only drawback was the hard sell to attend a timeshare seminar. It seemed everyone was being pushed into it.

My travel rep did a great job in booking and the transfers were great. However the hotel was not what I expected. The food quality was not great, the "all-inclusive" aspect was not effecient and frankly a waste of money. I would not blame my travel rep for this, probably my fault for not researching it further. We were co-mingling with non all inclusive guests, so the benefit of being all inclusive was not a benefit at all. You still had to sign everytime you wanted a drink, this includes coffee, orange juice and bottled water. The restaraunt selection was very poor. Our room was excellent and the facilities were clean and well maintained.

Hard sell, noisy, and bad food
Nov 06 2013
When we first arrived, we were assaulted by a variety of salespeople pretending to be our concierge, etc. They were trying to sell us timeshares, tours. Our room was good. The all inclusive was only at our hotel, even though there were 3 in the property, and was limited to a sports bar, buffet, and Italian restaurant. Food quality was poor. The pool area was quite crowded, so difficult to relax. At night, the shows were quite loud and late, so hard to sleep, since they were outdoors. However, I want to mention that after 2 days, we contacted our Apple rep and he was fantastic-moved us to a different hotel, which was great-we loved our room, the food was great, the pools were large and peaceful and relaxing. He also recommended activities, which we enjoyed-different than what the personnel at Villa del Palmar recommended. The vacation was salvaged, but this original place was so bad, my husband wanted to go home immediately. I thank you for helping us have a great vacation for the last 5 days.

Most screwed up system ever for an all-inclusive. Had to sign for every drink or eat. Absolutly ridiculous. Couldn't just get a drink or food. Had to wait forever in THEIR system. Orders were generally wrong and long delayed. One waitress for all beach area. STUPID STUPID So if someone was to have 50 beers during their stay of a week needs to sign over and over and over.

Best Vaction in 10 years
Sep 14 2011
This hotel was not the most elegant hotel as far as fixtures go but the staff was the best of any hotelI have ever stayed at and we where there for 14 days and NOT once did we ever have a problem. Our bathroom light went out and I called the front desk to have someone change it and I'm telling you within 5 minutes the repair man was there with not one type of bulb but 3 just in case. We didn't like where the T.V. was when we first checked in. What did they do move all our baggage into another room with T.V. in the right place and all with a smile. I'm telling you the service was above and be on any we ever had. Pool girl would meet us ever day and check if we needed anything and get our towels for us. Pool was always in top shape, food was great as well. I would recomend this hotel and for sure we will be there again in March,2012 and again and again. We just loved our 2wk stay. Oh and the weather was just as perfect. The only problem we had was the resturant named the Office was closed until Oct.and the owner takes all her employees on vaction. So how great is she! But we know she closed from August 13th until Oct. So we will vaction when she's open. If you have not been there you must try!! Let me add I do own a time share on the marina but will not be staying there. It will be villa del palma from here foreward. Thank You for reading and please check the place out.

Another great week long vacation in the books. Excellent weather and very relaxing. Oscar, Manny, Maria, Eduardo, Rafael, Gregorio, Manuel, Lilly, Abraham, Christian (just to name a few) Are all excellent employees and took great care of us. The elite staff members are awesome and some of the best spa services at El Sabina. Can’t wait to go back!

My sister and brother in laws time share. We often travel to vacation spots together. I think they've been holding out on us. This was such a fabulous vacation. We hiked several trails. Be sure to do them in the morning as the sun can be very intense in the afternoon. Service has been outstanding. We did all inclusive, which was so worth it. Manny at the elite members pool was awesome! The pool food was great. Try the beef grilled plate. Delicious. The evening buffet you can always find a stand out item. Oscar and Rafael were standouts for service. Entertainment was good, but the best part is when they bring the kids on stage. Lots of laughs. Honestly can't imagine how anyone could come here and not enjoy this place.

Don’t do it!

My fiancé and I were looking forward to a relaxing vacation at this resort. We booked last minute after finishing a long and stressful project at work. It was expensive, but we were willing to pay the price based on the rave reviews. From booking to our stay at the resort, the experience was miserable. Below are reasons why you should never stay at this resort: 1. Booking: As you’ll see if you visit the resort website, they insist that you call them for the best price. We booked a premium deluxe suite, all inclusive, which they charged us approx. 1800 for (for 3 nts). I then looked at the website again and the prices were hundreds of dollars lower for the same room - we called back to see why we weren’t offered the better price. After 30 minutes of being put on hold repeatedly, they finally asked us to send a screen shot of the price, which we did. We then received an email saying that they gave us a 1-bedroom suite (not on a premium floor), which wasn’t what we wanted. We then had to go through the hassle of calling again, being put on hold repeatedly until the issue was finally resolved. 2. Premium Floor: We booked the premium floor because it was supposed to come with extra access to amenities, like the elite lounge, as they blatantly say on their website. Even though we paid for and stayed on a premium floor, we were denied access to the elite lounge, saying it was for “members only”. 3. Shuttle to Town: We took the $5 shuttle to town at 2 pm on our first full day (Saturday) because we were told that the town shuts down on Sundays and Mondays. We were told that we could take the shuttle back at 5 or 9 - we initially opted for 9, but after being in town for a couple hours, we were dying to head back to the resort. We called the hotel and they said that we could take the 5 pm shuttle back - no problem. We reached the hotel which is the shuttle drop-off/pick-up location at 4:45 pm (after a 20 minute, unshaded walk back from town on which I almost passed out from the scorching heat). We sat in the lobby facing the driveway waiting for the shuttle. At 5:02 pm, when the shuttle still hadn’t arrived, we called the hotel who told us that the shuttle came and left and that we weren’t there. That was blatantly untrue, we literally got there at 4:45 pm and we’re actively waiting for the shuttle. The hotel said our only option was to take the 9 pm shuttle, or to get a taxi and pay for it ourselves ($50 USD). We were so miserable that we took the taxi, 4. Food: I don’t understand why people think the food at this “resort” is good. It was mediocre at best. Everything is buffet style and lacking flavor. There is one nice restaurant which we haven’t tried yet, but it costs an additional $20/person even with all-inclusive, and all-inclusive doesn’t cover the top dishes (like lobster and steak). In case you’re vegan, this resort is not at all vegan-friendly. They don’t even carry dairy-free milk. 5. Amenities: I was expecting a huge property filled with luxuries. While there are 5 pools and one hot tub, all but one pool was filled with kids screaming and playing. I’m not anti-kids, but if you’re looking for peace and quiet or romance, this is NOT the right place. I also note that the pools aren’t even close to as they are in the pictures, and I was hesitant to even get in. There is also not much to do at the property other than paying for spa services, lounging by the kid-filled pool and hiking. There is also small access to the beach, which is rocky, not sandy. 6. Spa: We are yet to try the spa, and it might be the only thing that saves this resort from being blatantly awful. All I know so far are the prices, which are the same prices as a nice spa in the U.S. 7. Sales Pitches: The resort is huge on trying to sell time shares and convincing people to invest in Loreto real property. They tried to push us into attending their “information session”, which I knew from reading prior reviews is long (one reviewer said 4 hours), and according to that reviewer, they don’t actially give you the perks they say they will. We resisted and therefor can not confirm whether that reviewer was correct but u wouldn’t be surprised. 8. Town of Loreto: As mentioned above, if you take the shuttle from the resort to downtown, they drop you 20+ minutes walking distance from the area where there are actual restaurants and shops. There is no shade. We were sweating and close to passing out before we reached the restaurant we wanted to try (Mi Loreto - which we had also read great things about). While the manager was sweet, the food was bland. The “shops” in Loreto are are just souvenir stands, and we did not find a single shop or restaurant with air conditioning. Overall, I’d say that if you’re coming to Loreto for the ocean and the mountains, still come, but I wouldn’t recommend staying at this resort and if you do, I wouldn’t recommend paying more for a premium floor or all- inclusive option - it isn’t worth it. There are two other luxury resorts in the area that I know about, both of which are much less expensive and have more affordable spa services. We will not be coming back, and deeply regret wasting our vacation days and money on this resort.

The perfect place to relax

I have stayed in many hotels in Mexico but this place is by far my favorite. If you want to get away from the stresses of the real world this is where you want to come. The location is away from the city but that is what makes it great. The hotel has great activities and the staff is amazing.

Superb mix of relaxation and fun!

The staff, service, and activities are spectacular. This was my first visit and I'll return many more times. I loved the spa; besides the massages and other treatments (I also got the "after-sun" cooling treatment with aloe and chamomile) there was an excellent hydrotherapy session for only $12. There are numerous activities every day for all ages...one week wasn't enough time for me to do everything I wanted. Can't wait to return!
