Relax as much as you want

As much relaxation as you may want, which this is a great place for doing so; you can also be very active. First: The entire staff at this resort are the best! We had first rate service from everyone, even during Thanksgiving week when it was very busy. Genesis at check-in was amazing; to Cecelia, Maria and their mates at concierge, Thank you! (I'm sorry I don't have all your names). Edgar at Casa Mia; Gregorio, Benito and Valentin at The Market Restaurant and many others were great! The young woman greeting and seating us was delightful; Roberto is tops along with Julio and the other pool guys - kudos for a job well done! Carlos Velasco at the tour office - we talked history of the area, very knowledgeable and helpful as is Roberto. Great tours. Activities were varied and the troupe headed by Duvies was wonderful. Make sure to take a class in mixing drinks with Eduardo... yum! He is also a great dancer! Aerobics in the pool with David, Tany and the others was fun. David helped us with the paddle boards; we went out on the kayaks; the pool bar guy with the citrus margaritas was super! There are many great activities to choose from and snorkeling trips were amazing. We went with Ramses to Danzante and Carmen Islands for snorkeling and Paul to the salt mine on Carmen Island - great guys! The resort is half an hour south of Loreto and is in a very beautiful location. They have daily shuttle trips to Loreto and it's a beautiful drive. The food is very good and they have a lot of variety. The minestrone soup at Casa Mia is really good. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The house keeping crew is exceptional! There are great walking trails and are a good workout. Walking the beach is always good. The bay is quite shallow for a long way out so little kids have a great time playing in the water.

Their customer service is the best I have ever experienced at a time share. Everyone went out of their way to take care of our every needs and wants. From a private beach anniversary dinner, to golf ( yeah Carlos and staff) to Dulce and crew at concierge desk---they were absolutely the best. I took a group of 10 and everyone was lavish in their praise. Our every need and any concerns were met promptly and generously. Even the other Palmar properties can not touch this place in regards to service. What a vacation we had. Golf was superb, Snorkeling compared to the Great Barrier Reef. Fish were not as big but many more here. Many times we were surrounded by schools of 500-1000 colorful fish. Felt we were snorkeling in a "snow globe" or aquarium. Ramsey is a great guide who we have also used for fishing. For 8 guests it was the first trip there and ALL said it is a MUST return! Water was 85 degrees so could stay in forever. Only negative is the TV reception Don"t count on it! Watching world series was very frustrating. Highly recommend thsi resort that just keeps getting better each trip!

Rooms comfortable, staff very friendly and new golf course well done. Somewhat hard to get to which may explain why so quiet. We had a great day trip to visit some islands and do some snorkeling -- huge numbers of fish. A great place to relax.

Gorgeous, but needs updating!

The setting for Villa Del Palmer at the Islands of Loreto is, quite simply, stunning. One of the world's most beautiful areas, with Sedona-like red cliffs coming to meet beautiful calm, blue waters, and some cacti sprinkled in as well. Just amazing! The issues with VDP are that the rooms need updating, and the food situation is not what you'd expect from a 5-star resort. This was our second trip, and the rooms are starting to look a bit shabby, which is surprising given the relatively recent build. There are lots of small maintenance items, things loose and needing to be fixed, or finishes that need to be reapplied. Much room for improvement here. The service and people and excellent, with special props to Dulce at check-in and Ducks with entertainment. Both are exceptional employees! The food was mixed, which is A downer, ad there are no options for miles besides he o site restaurants. We ate at Casa Mia as well as The Market several times and were generally unimpressed with the food, although the service was very good. Items in the store are very expensive if you want to do some cooking, so take a shuttle to town to do your shopping! Lastly, for suites that have a full kitchen, it is surprising that there is almost nothing to cook with, and even things like paper towels must be purchased separately. An array of spices and condiments would go a loong way here. In all, while we love the setting, the food situation and distance from town make it tough to consider returning. If you pay $100/person/day for all-inclusive and don't mind the food, it isn't a bad bet, but if you don't like to overpay for what you order or have reasonably high standards, look elsewhere. VDP is planning to massively increase the scale of this development, and is positioning the resort as an "Elite" destination. I hate the elitism of this and feel that the beauty of this area should be accessible to more people, to expose people to this treasure.

Awesome yoga on the beach!

The place was beautiful and had really good food and all of the employees were very friendly. Went to yoga a couple days and really enjoyed it, Hector is a great instructor if you get the chance to go!
