The resort was absolutely amazing! The room was beautiful and I loved the swim up pool. The food was absolutely fantastic, the choices of restaurants was vast and the quality was top notch. This service there was second to none, Randy our Butler was incredible. It was our honeymoon and he set up a romantic hot tub experience with Rose petals, food, and alcohol. Can’t wait to go back.

The hotel was pretty, but the food made as both very sick, the beach had a foot deep six foot wide strip of Dead Sea weed everywhere. You would think they would clean that up. Our room was terrible. The toilet is literally in the room with a glass door for privacy. Lights in the room did not work and the staff was so loud every morning that we didn’t need an alarm clock to wake up.

Beautiful Place, but be prepared for lack of communication
HOWARD G.
Aug 01 2018
Everything is very pretty and our room and grounds were gorgeous. It was disappointing to find communication with waiters, especially, very difficult unless you are fluent in Spanish. Also, it was difficult to understand why there was such a wait for service at most of the restaurants considering the large amount of wait staff. Can only guess that kitchen was not staffed as well.

The butler service at this hotel went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Carlos and Jerson were great and very friendly. This was our third vacation to Punta Cana and our first to this resort. This is by far the best and we hope to return.

For the past seven years I have stayed at the Grand Palladium Bavaro. This visit Bavaro was full. I ended up staying at The Grand Palladium Royal Suites, an Adults Only resort. I was slightly familiar with TRS since it is on the same property as Bavaro. The staff was nice and helpful as Bavaro. The pools were nice and as always the beach was great!! The new restaurant "Heilos" was nice. Food was good considering the "newness" of it. The only problem I encountered was with other tourists. The Grand Palladium booked a group providing a comedy show, music themed and other events. People from that group were loud, rude, complaining and demanding. It kind of spoiled the quiet, laid back, tranquil atmosphere of TRS. But, I ignored it as best as I could. I had never seen Grand Palladium book such an event before. But, overall I had a great time as usual. I will return and hopefully to the very familiar surroundings of Grand Palladium Bavaro.

renovations needed

Rooms require renovations such as new air conditioning system. Restrooms at the restaurants have peeling wallpaper, broken faucets. Spa is constantly out of towels and bathroom products. New bracelet key system at the TRS while very convenient, the bracelets get wet and rub the skin.

Excellent hotel

The hotel is great and enormous, in one week we had no time to visit all. In the all area there are 3 other Palladium resorts that can be visited - you have the opportunity to dine there as well (of course within one week no chance to try all restaurants). You have the team that brings you around (and a app - yes an app - with it is possible to request your drive!!!!) My favourite one was absoluty Kusko, which is next to the TRS complex - everything is absolutely gorgeus. The room was really nice and the details on arrival was a big surprise. Service and cleaning was everyday excellent. I would like to thank all team (reception, bell boys, the staff of Helios, butlers and the management) for their kindness and professionality - the staff is good and very corteus. Definetely recommended!!!!

We had a wonderful trip. The food was good-especially the lobsters! The lobby offered snacks each afternoon. Dolores at the pool was an amazing server. The rooms were large- but the AC not so great. The resort is large. Make sure to try the restaurants not just at the TRS.

First time on an all inclusive trip, TRS was not a bad choice. We had a group of us there for our birthdays and the staff made sure we had a great time! The lobby bar makes the best drinks there, also because they have the top shelf liqour - shout out to Frank and Manuel - our favorite bartenders on the resort. We were greeted by our butler - Charli, he was the glue holding all of our plans together. Whatever we needed, whether it was reservations or help with finding things to do - he's the man. Made the trip go a bit more smoothly. While we had no issues with our room, others in our group had some issues from a room flooding to not having water but they upgraded their rooms when necessary. The resort was accommodating to our needs. The one thing to watch out for is when booking excursions - book through your travel agent on the resort not through the lobby guys. Through your agent you will get a cheaper deal than what others are offering, or try the beach for cheap excursions. We paid 145$ for an island advanture then found out through our agent he could have done it for 70$... On to the food. Best place we went was the Hibachi - make reservations asap for this place. We also enjoyed the Italian place, the bigger buffets were good as well. I liked going to Helios for breakfast and outside there during lunch they have a nice bbq. Stay away from the french restaurant. Room service also was a good option for food - tacos and the philly steak were a go to. Find a scheule of things to do, they usually do the foam parties and beach parties at a few differnt places and they have shows at 10 pm and then the disco would open at 11pm. The disco music was okay - they need tolearn to play to there audience. Overall had a good expierence, learned for the next time.

We arrived at the hotel and our room was not ready yet. We were escorted over to have lunch by the beach. We were hungry after traveling so this was totally fine. This was our 2nd trip to TRS (we stayed in Riviera Maya 2 years ago) so they upgraded us to a bigger room. We appreciated that. The rooms were spacious but could probably use some updating. The bed was very firm and not quite sure what was going on with the bedding...LOL. The hotel overall was very nice. The butler service was one of the best. They were always sitting there to help with anything that we might need. Our one complaint was the pushy Travel Club Sales Reps. The last thing I want to do on vacation is have someone trying to sell me something that I have no interest in. I know that is their job but when I say no the first time that means walk away. We didn't care for all of the huts that were everywhere either. Everyone would save chairs by the pool and on the beach so it was hard to find somewhere to sit. We didn't go out and save anything as we didn't think that was a cool thing to do. Our favorite was the room service. Loved the butler door (I've never seen that before) and loved getting steak and lobster in our room! We visited a few restaurants and they were fine. The buffet was a busy place so only went there a few times. The pool bartenders were great! There was a lot of seaweed but this is something that the hotel cannot control. It really didn't bother us but I know a lot of people ask about it. Overall, it was a great trip!

Beautiful place, friendly people

Pros: The grounds, buildings and pools were beautiful and immaculately kept. The beach was great. It had soft sand, palm trees and small thatch "umbrellas" for shade. The staff was very friendly and would go out of their way to help in any way. While, unfortunately we didn't get every ones name, we would like to recognize some of the people that made our visit a memorable one. Our team of butlers: Angel Gomez, Samuel Tejeda, Carolina Sarmienzo and Adris Encasnacion. At the Capricho Restaurant: servers: Romancito, Franklin, Cesar, hostesses: Albania and Rosemeri. At the Portafino Restaurant: server: Ana At the beach: servers & staff: Carlos Cassanova, Alvessard and Natividad At the main pool: Miguel At the secret pool bar: Mary And at the bar in the lobby of the TRS Turquesa: Frank Cons: It is large and took some getting used just to get around. The room furnishings were not great. The food was good but not great. Much of the staff (particularly in the restaurants) did not speak English well so communication could be difficult. While the beach was beautiful, the water was choppy not clear and brought a lot of sea weed on shore that had to be scraped off occasionally. There was a lot of solicitation some in the lobby of the main hotel but mainly on the beach. Conclusion: While it wasn't a Five Star resort it was beautiful, the people were wonderful and it was more affordable than many of the other high end resorts. We would not hesitate to go back.
