We returned to Treasure Beach Hotel after a most enjoyable stay last year. The Elegant Hotels group have taken over from the previous owners. On arrival I was asked for my credit card details , [ no problem ] , two days later I was told by a fellow guest that £1,070.00[approx. ] was being blocked on my account , meaning that this some of money wasn't available to spend should it be needed during our stay.I was appalled , as I have never experienced anything like this before.I did not agree with this '' company's policy '' , so I cancelled the arrangement , and was charged one night room levy, which I thought was payable on leaving ?. The sea wall had to be replaced and a flower bed has been added the full length of the wall. When the tide comes in , [Which are high in September ] , the waves splash over the wall , land onto the soil and in turn the soil spews over onto the sun deck and sun beds and it all becomes very messy. A number of pigeons live in the mahogany tree which spreads over the area , so their droppings cover the parasols and sunbeds , as well as one or two guests , most mornings the deck is cleaned , but the problem is on going for the staff . If you use the contents of the mini bar you are charged 10% service charge to refill it ,why? , The restaurant service is quite slow, and the staff don't seem to want to interact with the guests , I believe this is being addressed, the older members of staff are great but some of the younger ones seem to have an attitude that was also noted by other guests. The food was ok , but I feel the choice and quality could have been better. There are many really good restaurants within a very short distance from the hotel , which they need to bear in mind . I did miss the afternoon which was complimentary to all, that was a nice touch last year. On a more positive note the hotel is in a beautiful position, and the gardens are immaculate, the pool and surrounding area are very clean with plenty of sunbeds and towels provided. Elegant Hotels own four properties along the west coast and with their complimentary water taxi you can visit the other hotels.or just go along for the ride. The housekeeping is first class , the rooms are very well appointed and the beds are amazing , they are really comfortable , there are lots of clean towels provided every day and the bed linen is snow white. You have a choice of two TV's in your suite and their are plenty of draws and hanging space , i can not fault the bathroom , it is always left gleaming , but a larger shelf would be helpful . I know the management will address any and all problems , and I truly wish them all the best . It's not easy taking over from someone who has run the hotel a certain way for many years.

What a treasure...

Lovely return visit after the refurb and re branding. Tapestry Restaurant is wonderful both in style, quality and imagination. Evenings can be quiet and low key which was fine with us. Pool and beach are wonderful and Karl does a superb job of looking after you as do all the guys. The Manager really cares about her guests and is very hands in and very high profile, Thanks for you kind help Lisa and we look forward to seening you again soon.

I had the pleasure of having my business meeting at this newly renovated hotel. The atmosphere was a very peaceful one. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We were seated immediately and served water and our beverages of choice within minutes of ordering. The menu had a good variety of foods to choose from however as this was a business meeting a went for their English breakfast which was nice, simple and tasty (they allowed a substitution which I am grateful for as I don't like bake beans) I would highly recommend this hotel.

We see no Americans--except ourselves--when we stay at Treasure Beach. The atmosphere is pleasant to the point of soporific. Breakfast and dinner are beyond expectations. The view is unspoiled, the water clear and welcoming. An afternoon break for coconut ice cream completes a day of snoozing and reading. What a joy!

On arrival, we were greeted by Kyla and Akeisha. They were very friendly and helpful. Within minutes of checking in, we were greeted with a refreshing drink from Carlos (I believe that was his name). I didn't tell them in advance that it was a birthday trip. However, they still found a way to make it special by upgrading my garden view room to an oceanview room. Room 112, which was steps away from the pool and the beach. The staff of this hotel is what makes it special. Akeisha was my favorite! She made suggestions on where to go for my birthday and what to do as I didn't make plans in advance because I wanted to just wing it. Akeisha and Kyla made sure to wish me a happy birthday on my actual birthday. Also, want to say thanks to Sabrena as well. And I can't forget about Dave the driver!! Dave became like extended family for us. He was our driver for the Art Crawl Tour (which is complimentary), also took us to the sites I chose for my birthday & back to the airport!! (Wish I would have known from the beginning because we got taken advantage of by a taxi driver at the airport upon arrival) The room accommodations were nice, nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast was always good. Loved the fresh fruit. We had a sandwich & burger from the beach menu which was also good. Again staff, in these areas always greet you and are smiling. I will definitely be back cause I still have more of the island to see. So my only wish is that the same staff are there when I do go back.
