Good value for money

Four of us stayed in two bedroom apartment, very clean and well equipped. Had a shared kitchen, living room, plenty of space for all four. Staff very helpful and courteous. Adjacent cafe good for breakfast & coffee but evening meal not worth the money. Beware of the bar in the evening, eaten alive by mosquitoes, must use mosquito repellent or not take advantage of free drink.

Great laid back resort with an island vibe

First things first: the Timothy Beach Resort is not the Marriott. It is not world-class luxury with shops in the lobby and airs of European splendor. It is a St. Kitts resort, frequented by people who live in St. Kitts and other nearby islands, as well as by foreigners. The pool is small, cats and chickens roam the grounds, but, it is so relaxing! We went as two couples. We had two rooms, but, one would have been fine because the units are so spacious, and the resort places a high quality mattress on the sofa bed which makes it very comfortable (our room was made up that way when we arrived). The staff is especially helpful, whether you want help booking a restaurant or activity, or just advice about where to buy things on the island. Because the units are fully outfitted with kitchens, we shopped at the big RAM market near Basseterre, at the BFG fish market on Bay Road, and from street markets for fruit. Food is not cheap on an island, but, the quality is high. The hotel beach is fine, set into a corner with a jetty, and calmer than other parts of Frigate Bay. Room decks overlook the beach "strip" of restaurants and bars, and a big salt pond. The beach bar is a fantastic gathering spot in the evening for locals, hotel guests and random beach visitors. We didn't use the restaurant, but, it's on a nice patio with views of the water and others said the food was good. We rented a car, which made it easy to get around the island. We used it to visit other beaches, to get to restaurants, to shop and to expand our visit outside Timothy Beach. You don't need one, but, it worked for us. There is parking right behind the units for guests. So, do I recommend it? Absolutely! We'll be back...

Great location, staff and room in St Kitts

I prefer small local hotels to large, opulent hotel chains when travelling internationally and so Timothy Beach is an excellent choice when staying in St. Kitts. I was a guest for 8 days in October, combining business with vacation. The location on the beach near the "strip" with several local dining spots nearby is perfect. If you don't want Caribbean food every night there are other restaurants with different types of cuisine also within walking distance. There is also a small grocery store nearby to stock the refrigerator in the room. Our spacious room was modestly but tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed, lots of closet space, very efficient, quiet air conditioning with a remote control and a large balcony that provided a relaxing way to enjoy the wonderful view of the ocean. The Sunset Cafe was a perfect spot for enjoying the view while dining in a casual setting on a large array of food choices that were prepared and served quickly. The free full breakfast plan offered until 11:30 am .was especially appreciated, and I also enjoyed the lunch offerings, Sunday dinner buffet, and free live music on Sunday. The free wifi had a reliable strong signal and quick Internet access, and television had many channels to choose from. There were chickens and cats roaming the property, but they were unobtrusive and offered an authentic flavor to the hotel. The pool was delightful-set with a great view of both the ocean and mountain behind the property. Special appreciation must go to staff members Ashton, Cleo, Shirley and Arlene, who went out of their way to provide an enjoyable stay, but all staff were friendly and helpful.Tour information was available at the front office. I would note that not all rooms have bathtubs, but after my initial disappointment I didn't miss it at all. Just be sure to ask if it is important to you to have one. Otherwise the shower was fine. I didn't have a car but on site parking was available and convenient..Check in and check out was fast and efficient I would definitely recommend staying at Timothy Beach for a fun, comfortable but laid back and affordable visit to St. Kitts.

Fine, not fabulous

We stayed three nights at the resort in October. The pluses: the room was nice and clean, staff were friendly, it was right by the Strip with a local feel, the price was good. Some issues: there was a bad water leak (ceiling & wall) in our room, and we ended up drying it ourselves, daily. After we asked, we were offered another room, but with separate beds and on the ground floor, so we ended up staying in the original room which we otherwise liked more. No-one ever came to fix the leak, and the hotel never apologized for the issue. The hotel clearly needs an upgrade! We loved the beach bar, but it was closed most of the time during our stay.

Fabulous hotel and location

Stayed in a sea view double which had all the necessities and more. Hotels location was fabulous, pool area very quiet, local restaurants excellent (samurai Japanese especially recommended). Only comment- and not the hotels fault at all - don’t use the sea bridge ferry to Nevis. Unreliable in the extreme.
