Neato themed boutique hotel in Waikiki

Swingin' sixties décor throughout the hotel. Be sure to take a take a photo of the pool area at night; we found that the best place was from the third floor balcony. There is an SPF dispenser at the pool, which is a thoughtful touch, as are the individual canopies on each lounger. I don't think that the pool is heated, though. The gift shop has beautiful clothes and accessories, not your average tchotchkes. They offer guests the use of umbrellas during their stay. The fun starts with the check-in area. You rest on retro couches while they get you set up. Luggage will be delivered to your room. We reserved a bungalow - don't be mislead, it's a regular room, albeit with a sitting area, bedroom and bathroom. Each room has a balcony. The sitting area has a fridge and clothes closet. Fun snacks await on top of the fridge. The toiletries are fantastic, especially the bar soap. The rooms could use manuals to explain how things work such as the lights, the fan and the alarm clock. Noise insulation is fine. Safes in each room. Coffee and wifi are included as part of the $25/day resort fee (it's a shame that they charge a resort fee on top of the room rate). The bed was very comfortable. Curtains provide sufficient darkening of the room. The bathroom design is in keeping with the funky vibe. And it has hooks! I repeat, women need hooks. Plenty of hot water. The restaurant didn't offer much that I could eat (allergies) but the food looked quite good and it was always busy. Drinks are discounted during happy hour. Live entertainment nightly. Your room key gets you free admission to the Bishop Museum and the Honolulu Museum of Art. Fair warning, the Bishop is a $30 cab ride away. You'll be better off taking one of the trolleys which goes directly there. Great, welcoming staff who went out of the way to make guests comfortable. I would happily return.

Our big Canadian family week at the surfjack💕

We spent a beautiful Honolulu week with this place! We arrived only to find our reservation was occupied by someone in the military. (Fair warning Honolulu bows to their military) They were quick to come up with an ulturnitive plan for our large group and it worked better for us anyway. (And they sweetened the end costs for good measure😉) Rooms were lovely and clean and comfortable with a safe and fridge. Coffees not in your room but downstairs at the bar starting around 6 each morning. I'd stumble down in my jammies and grab a couple to-go cups and go back up to our balcony. Don't fret, it's goooood coffee worth the stumble! The staff are second to none! They were warm and friendly and most accommodating! They would load up towles and chairs, they provide, when the valets brought our vehicle up. My fondest memory was walking back from supper one evening and the front counter guys jumped up waving and called out 'HELLO FAMILY' from 1/2 a block away, like they were truly excited for our return and then listened to our days stories with excitement! The pool was awesome to float in after a long day and shed the heat, and the nightly music was a pleasant accompaniment. The restraunt downstairs was yummy$$$ and my somewhat picky western Canadian family managed to eat a supper and two breakfasts there. But your in the heart of vacation land there so there's tons of places to eat around there too, as well as the ABC convenience stores that are everywhere. Come checkout time they stowed our bags for the day and opened a hospitality room for us to use before our evening flight back to the snowy north. Wonderfully accommodating and I miss them!!

My family of 5 (including 3 children) stayed here for 4 nights, in April. The hotel has a great vibe about it. Staff were very helpful, my son had left a bag on the side with all our (brand new) flip flops- they had found them and they were waiting for us on our return-what a relief, you can’t go around Hawaii without flip flops!. The food at the hotel restaurant was so yummy, we had breakfast everyday and dinner once-the breakfast was great to set you up for the day. The location is just perfect, easy 5 min walk to nearby restaurants and shops. We Would defiantly stay here again if we ever go back to Waikiki. Thank you Suarfjack! Big thank you to the valet team, what lovely people and so helpful!

Wonderfully friendly staff
