The most amazing friendliest staff and service we've ever received at any island we've been to in the carribean. We never go to the same island twice we've been to 12 different islands and Cayman island Ritz Carlton is by far #1 on my list to visit over and over again....we felt like we were royalty at every inch of the hotel which ever way we turned.

This was our 7th year in 8 that we have stayed at the Ritz. The conclusion is if it is in your budget, this is the only place to stay in Cayman. I almost hate to give away our secret but we did the Club level and it was spectacular. The service was literally the beat we have experienced in a world of travel. The staff here is the best trained, most attentive and excellent there is - and that includes St Regis, Rosewoods, and Four Seasons hotels. Jon, a local Cayman, was unbelievably helpful, to my wife and I, but he was great with adorable little kids as well. I’m not sure what hotel the reviewer who said nothing special was reviewing, but our opinion for nearly a decade of trips to the Ritz is that it is a top hotel in the Caribbean, and perhaps the world.

Stayed for a week and can not say enough nice things about the hotel. We have been coming to Grand Cayman for 12+ years and this was our first stay at the Ritz Carlton. Many of the other hotels have a resort fee attached daily, the Ritz lives up to that fee. We played golf, tennis, shot some hoops, toured the beautiful spa and fitness center (did not have time to use-weather was too good) and lots of amenities available at the beach. We paid only for the golf and it was great! The rooms are clean, housekeeping is great and they give you plenty of water. Never had a problem getting chairs at the beach or the pool, we also enjoyed BarJack , dining demonstrations and samples and local music. All the food we had here was of high quality. We also found that there were plenty of restaurants that were easy walking distance for any meal. It’s central location on seven mile beach allowed us to walk the beach easily in both directions. Fantastic resort and employees! We will return.

Clinical, nothing special, nice hard product

Grand Cayman is super expensive and it's hard not to feel ripped off getting charged Grand Cayman prices for the same Ritz Carlton service you'd get in the US. I stayed at the Westin on the same trip and overall would recommend the Westin over the Ritz Carlton with the exception of the spa - stay at the Westin but make spa appointments at the Ritz Carlton. Blue restaurant was just ok, nothing special there either.

Complements To The Entire Staff

An extraordinary hotel. Every member of the staff was excellent. Compliments to the GM, Marc Langevin who went out of his way to greet us every time we met him. Beautiful rooms, spotlessly clean. Nice restaurants. Andiamo, perfect. Great pizza and calamari. Excellent! Beach restaurant, very nice too. Funny, this was at Andiamo, we asked about cooking a burger rare, "Oh no, only well done". Next day at lunch at the pool restaurant, "any way you like..", came out perfect. Only compaint about the hotel, and the hotel cannot help this, kids, kids, screaming, crying kids everywhere, day and night, sometimes all night long. Both pools, every restaurant, kids, infants, small kids pushing the elevator buttons, big kids, lots of kids. Crying kids at Blue. We felt like we were at Disney. Great when I had kids, twenty years ago, but not anymore. If the Ritz has a kids free month, I will go back. On a positive note, we found an adults only section on the far side of the beach. Only problem was it got eaten up by one of the tents of for the Cayman Cookout. Oh well. Also, I would prefer if the hotel had more of the traditional beach umbrellas for the beach chairs. The tiny canopies they provide don't give any real shade.

This property is great. Anything that you need they will get, they are friendly and willing to help. The rooms are super clean, the bed was a little soft for me but my husband loved it. Visit the cupboard for information of where to ear locally.
