The most amazing friendliest staff and service we've ever received at any island we've been to in the carribean. We never go to the same island twice we've been to 12 different islands and Cayman island Ritz Carlton is by far #1 on my list to visit over and over again....we felt like we were royalty at every inch of the hotel which ever way we turned.

When you leave a hotel and feel as if you are leaving your family that sums it up! The hotel opens its arms and makes you feel as if you are home. Thanks to Marina Patrashkova, going the extra mile, making sure everything was perfect. Lets not leave out the rest of the staff!!!! When we ate at any of the restaurants it was as if we were walking into our Family Dining Room, all the waiters and waitresses welcome you and were incredibility kind attending to every need! I cannot forget, BLUE, over the Top, Fantastic!!!! No matter where you were walking, the Lobby, the Pool, the beach the staff greets you. How's that for making you feel SPECIAL! Each one of the the Staff shared their personal life so you got to know each of them personally! How wonderful. But the Best is yet to come! I took a cooking class, Italian Cooking!!!! It was a unique experience. Thank you Chef, Fiorella Urbina, for your knowledge, secrets and techniques. You made it fun and interesting while educating me. I left knowing exactly what I wanted to learn and gained a new friend as we have communicated by email on my progress and success with pasta making and more! We have stayed at several other hotels in Cayman including,THE Caribbean Club, The Westin, to name a few and not one of them come close in customer ( Family) service as we experienced at the Ritz. We come back every year because Cayman has the Best Beach, Beautiful weather, delicious food and now we know the RITZ CARLTON, what more could you expect on your vacation? Thank you for the Memories. We cannot wait to make more!

We have done the Caribbean extensively before, but this was our 1st visit to the Caymans, and we stayed 5 nights here at the Ritz. We were greeted with delicious welcome drinks, and warm and considered introductions to the facilities. As 1st time visitors we were given vouchers for free appetizers at a different one of the restaurants every night, which was a major feature of enjoying our stay (ranging from a tiny cup of ice cream, to both food and drink at others, to a glass or two of expensive high quality champagne and saber show at the nicest restaurant Blue). The room was of a good size, and very comfortable. We were in the ocean tower, which was conveniently located and had an amazing view of the beach (daily sun-set watching is essential). We visited the garden building for some of the restaurants, and it would not be nearly as desirable for amenities or views. The location on Seven Mile Beach is the critical asset of the Ritz-Carleton Grand Cayman. It is one of the top we have visited in the world, with lovely sand, water, and temperatures. Otherwise there isn't much else of interest in the region, though we were surprised as typically non-beach people how quickly and pleasantly the days went by. The design of this Ritz is the best we have seen staying at many over the years. It does an excellent job creating peace and flow throughout the grounds. An example is there's a hallway bridge between the two buildings over the highway that we only realized after seeing from the outside. From the inside it feels like ground floor and artfully concealed as an artistic hall. The problem, if you consider it one, is even if you have fully prepaid your rate, the daily resort fees and prices of anything at the hotel are exceptionally high. We ended up paying about an extra $1000 for 5 nights, which we did know to expect in advance. Unusually expensive for the Caribbean, but if you want a quiet oasis of comfort this suits well. There are also reasonable dining options immediately off-site for those willing to explore.

Loved every minute of the 7 days that I stayed at this resort! My husband and young children were also a part of this getaway and there was not a single complaint. From check-in to check-out, everything was flawless. Our room was in the ocean tower and was plenty big enough to accommodate 4 people. Room was updated and most importantly, spotlessly clean. There is nothing worse than going on a holiday only to stay in an outdated, yucky room. Not at this Ritz! We did upgrade to the Club level so that we wouldn't have to worry about food etc. Not sure if this was the best fit for our family as my younger kids don't really appreciate the type of food that was served. That being said, the food was amazing for adults. We were so well treated by Luce and Estephanie in the club lounge. As for the beach/pool etc--don't worry about having to get up early to reserve beach chairs--the staff will take care of it for you. So much to explore and enjoy in Grand Cayman. We will without a doubt, be back!!

Fine Hotel and Beach

My wife and i just spent 9 nights at the Grand Cayman Ritz. Very nice property and would stay there again. The beach was fantastic with great staff and some of the best lounge chairs we have experienced. there were also a nice group of staff roaming the beach for drinks, lunch and whatever you needed. Two great restaurants in Seven and Blue. Both were well done and great food. My only complaint was the complimentary coffee each morning was pulled at 9am. As a vacation location, it would have been nice to extend to 10am for us late sleepers.

A Bit Forgettable

Stayed here for a business conference being held nearby, but had enough downtime to experience the social side of the resort. Tip - if you are driving yourself, the entrance is easy to miss! The hotel is really two resorts in one connected by a skybridge over the road. Most all the other hotels entrances appear on the beach side of the road, but this entrance is on the opposite side and up a small hill (and not all that well lit). Plus the entrance sign only points one direction (see photo) so you won’t see it if traveling the opposite way. Look for a skywalk overhead as the signal you are in the right place - and the buildings you do see on the “beach side” will have a sign for the “Seven” restaurant well lit. The lobby and lounge area are a bit small and don’t have that “wow I’m at the ritz” feel I have had in other Ritz properties. The room was fine, but again, nothing to write home (or TripAdvisor) about. They followed standard protocol of offering welcome juice and walking you to your room. There are two pools, but only one on the beach side over the sky bridge has bar service. The other is a basic pool with no services, but quiet. So a bit of a walk if you are in the other tower to the pool with amenities. I did have fun at the main lobby bar with live music one night until about 11pm, and there is free coffee in the lobby each morning. Otherwise this had the feel of a family resort. The pool was expectedly expensive ($12-$15 drinks), but service was a bit slow even by Caribbean service standards (half hour for a check after requesting it for example), having to “wave down” staff walking by you to get drink/food orders taken. But the staff was expectedly kind and helpful when you could get them. Lots of kiddos running around during my stay, which was fine. It had the feel of a family property to me. We traveled to Grand Cayman with the kids actually in March 2017, and chose to stay at a condo on the beach (see past reviews) and having stayed here I don’t think you could go wrong if considering a family vacation, but would recommend the Beach tower.
