First thing to tell you is, we ( 6 people), did not have any expectations as last year ( DR) was horrible ( worst vaca in 18 years). This time upon arrival, checked in, lovely, clean and friendly. We had asked to have 3 rooms close to each other.....the second day, Antonio ( very kind and helpful)moved us to the same floor as the other 2 couples. He certainly made every effort to make us happy.....which we were. We were on the fourth floor and the center of our building there were Red Circus shows every other night, amazing. The VIP lounge was 100%, the food was amazing. We returned to Rodizzio Steak house 3 times. 3 Coffee and Me located very close to our rooms, again 100% staff and quality of coffee and tea. Dos Lunas served great meals. I seriously could not say a negative comment with this resort Bonus*** they had a few fools drunk and loud...the few times this happened security was on the spot, shut them up or removed them....I was impressed they did everything possible to ensure peaceful rest in our rooms. I would return to this resort again

It was OK

This is a very large resort. Be prepared to walk a lot with lots of up and down steps. The room was clean but the humidity was high. Magazines, etc. stuck to the tables in the room (even with the air conditioning full blast).

For the price! Never again

First of all upon arrival check in went smoothly. The main lobby looks beautiful and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We even got the room as an early check in 😀. But from then on it went down hill from there. Considering this is ment to be a 4/5* resort, we have been far from impressed with the hotel cleanliness, the food from over 75% of the restaurants in the resort. The actual room looked as if it needed to be re decorated and modernised. The balcony door did not lock so it was open for anyone to walk in if they so desired. The staff at the pool bars would rather stand there and ignore you for the best part of 20 mins than serve making it damn near impossible to get a drink without waiting stupid amounts of time each and every time, even if you give them a nice tip which I would say is about 100 pesos so roughly £4 in the uk. Considering that the hotel alone cost best part of £2000 for all inclusive for 2 people for a week and then the only way to get what you want is to keep paying for it anyway in tips. ( Which I wouldn't of minded if the service was there, which I'm afraid that at some of the bars and restaurants is was not) but I must also mention that some of the resort was amazing the sports bar and grill service is excellent along with the Havana night club and steak house all these places showed great service and made up for the rest that to be honest was not up to the standard it's advertised at. The resort has so much potential to actually be the 4/5* it's claiming to be but it needs to work on the issues that are present. If these issues are dealt with properly I would definitely visit again. But in the current state I would Not be coming back to Grand Oasis anytime soon

The Stay at the Oasis Grand Cancun

WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE GRAND OASIS CANCUN. WE PARTICULARLY Enjoyed the Cayeres restaurant. The water was a bit rought this time, however, we did spend much time at the pool or just enjoyed the cabanas on the beach. We did not like the vendors/drug dealers hanging around the cabana area trying to sell us drugs, They were also purchasing cervasa at the bar near the Cayeres restaurant. Everyone seemed to know each other so the bar tender, and security guard would take the money and give them the cervasa. Not good publicity for the facility.

Grand Oasis Pyramid provided us with an excellent vacation.

I feel we got a lot of vacation for the money at the Grand Oasis. Friendly staff, very clean grounds, beautiful landscape and wildlife, main restaurants good food, specialty restaurants were excellent with minimal to no wait, nightly entertainment in the pyramid was just incredible, excellent drinks, very clean and well maintained room and the par 3 golf course out the front door was a big bonus for me. I highly recommend. A vacation is what you make of it. haters will be haters no matter the resort. This is a beautiful resort in which we had no issues aside from great days at the pools and beach.
