The Mill, a great place for the money. A good value!

Hotel was very nice. However, it did not matter when you put the "Maid Service" sign out. It appeared cleaning was conducted on a schedule!

Half of the resort under construction

I was excited to go to The Mill Resort & Suites for my Anniversary. Upon arrival, we weren’t aware half of the resort was under construction. We arrived about an hour prior to check in time and our room was ready. But management wouldn’t allow us to go to the room. My fiancée and I were pumped about our arrival drinks. Front desk stated that wouldn’t be available since the restaurant is under construction. I honestly wish I would of known the resort was under construction. I would of never stayed, I asked for a wine bottle opener. Front desk stated they will bring one. *30 minutes later * still no wine bottler opened. When I called the front desk again. They apologized and said they don’t have one. Finally the day I checking out. Which was 12:30 , I get a call from the front desk stating check out is at 12:00pm. We have to go. That was my horrific experience at The Mill Resort & Suites. I won’t recommend it to any of my friends or family.

We booked the Mill hotel for the end of our stay in Aruba. What a huge mistake.you dont go to the caribbean to be surrender by trouble, cause by the hotel. To start the receptionist dont have experience in customer service, they dont know what they are doing.I guess this is what you can expect from a 2 start hotel. The check in didnt go smoothly,An unhabitable room was given to us,the floor and walls were so damp that our 4 year old fall on his back within the first 2 hours. There is not management in the Hotel,No one is in charge of that place.Make up dissapeared from my toilettries bag,no one acknowledge my concerns. Its pointless to call the hotel as they do not answer the phone at the front desk.Shuttle service from and to the beach is Totally unreliable. I wish i had read the reviews before we stayed at this horrible place which is by the way a construction site not the beloved holidays we were expected.

This was our first time being in Aruba so we knew nothing about the Mill Resort. We knew it was under construction but it never interfered with our stay. Check in was very easy our person was very polite when we found out we were not in a remodeled room we asked if we could have one. We just had to stay in the first room for one night then they would move us. Glad we moved the bathrooms in the remodeled rooms make a big difference. We eat in the restaurant once and the food was good, but service slow and it was not busy. The pool is great but we spent our time on the beach. No worries about not being right on the beach there is a shuttle but really 5 minute walk and you are there. The beach area is away from all the major hotels that are right on the beach so it's less crowded and less commercialized. WE loved that. There is also a very nice gentleman Jose who will take care of getting chairs for you and can get you food and beverages. You can be in the shade without paying for the hut thing. We bought $5.00 Chill beer from him. I hope to go back to The Mill Resort next year and this time I hope to get a room with a balcony. Every 2 out of 3 rooms has one. Easy walk to downtown and restaurants and casinos.

Lousy resort, great staff

Vacationing with a group of 5, the reservation couldn’t be found in their computer, even though my friend kept showing her confirmation number and email. The reservation was for a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite. We later found out, their version of that is to unlock the adjoining doors between two rooms. This process took at least 2 hrs in the heat after waiting until 3pm to check in. When the reservation was found, the room wasn’t ready because unlike their website claims, they are unable to accommodate 5 people in one room. The only thing that made the stay bearable was the staff from housekeeping, the bar and the person that drove us to the beach. The front desk staff sans management was also nice. We made sure to let them know they were appreciated. If I was offered their best room for free, I wouldn’t stay!!
