Cabo Trip March 2017

Great location, great staff, and a great pool with views of the harbor

The hotel itself has such promise. The concierge even though she was very pleasant and wonderful to talk to she directed us to speak to a promotional deal and deterred us to the representative that spoke to apple from the airport. This confused us because I wasnt sure if we would be contacted for pick up back to the airport. So I never seen an apple representative, that was nerve wracking. Then when we checked in I had given papers from apple showing the hotel that the water taxi was included and they denied that they had that service and would check into it. I also inquired about the water taxi service with the apple representative whom I texted and called and he stated it was tesoro hotel promise not apple. That was never resolved, even though it wasnt a big deal it was stupid. Then when we went to the promotional tour we had already eaten breakfast and the tour guide wanted breakfast anyway and I didnt need to sit once again for a breakfast so he was fine with that and proceeded with the tour that ended up being over 4=5 hours long after they were disgusted we had another commitment for the day and turned their offer down. When we arrived to our first room offered the smell was overwhelming so we were given another room, a very nice room. Even through the promotional tour the rooms had smells to them. The pool area and staff were very nice, However, we never had use of the swim up bar and was told their is only service at the restaurant bar, no swim up bar. I would have really enjoyed that and everyone at the pool didnt understand why they didnt have this goin on. Otherwise, I really loved the hotel setting and location. The People were nice with the exception of the check in staff.

Everything great, except the food was ok.

The entire staff was excellent and provided for all our needs. Accomodations were very nice and bed was very comfortable. The food served was just ok. Food outside of the hotel was excellent. Room service food was worse than the restaurant.

I have no complaints with our Apple Vacation. The hotel was in a great location, so we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. A breakfast buffet was included and was average. The transfer to and from the hotel went very smoothly.

Perfect location in the marina and close to the nightlife. The skypool is really nice and the sushi is good. The hotel is very clean. Find a bloke called Jesus Salgado (pronounced Hazus who runs the Lobby bar but he really is like Jesus), such a great person. Extremely helpful, fantastic service and the drinks are delicious. Would highly recommend.

The hotel wasn't bad, I'd say it is a 3 or 3 1/2 star place, but what really bothered me were the constant requests to do a tour for their timeshares. I told them over and again, I am a travel writer, I just want a hotel tour, I'm not interested in buying anything. What did they do? Set me up on the timeshare tour. THEN, because they found out I was married and my husband not with me, they refused to give me a tour. I would not stay again.

The location cannot be beat. You are in walking distance to most of Cabo. There are water view and city view rooms. We chose city view because well, it is slightly cheaper and we are always out and about and can see the water from the pool and walking. The city view was very cool and scenic with city and hills. We had a huge outdoor patio in the sky/balcony. The wall to the balcony was very low and even made me a little queasy so if you have small kids make sure to ask. More amusing than a nuisance, there is a nightclub across the street that blasts cheesy dance music very loud into the wee hours. Think "What is Love" by Hadaway played louder than you ever would in your living room. If we were in our room, we could hear it slightly but if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful evening on the balcony, you might want the water view side. Our last night we were treated to a live band that was incredible... horns, guitar, like a punk rock Ranchero band. So we relaxed on our balcony and listened. The rooms are pretty small but clean. Not luxurious by any means but adequate. The pool is lovely, there are multiple hot tubs. The view from the pool and breakfast area of the marina is beautiful. The breakfast is divine for being included. Our room was up stairs once you exited the elevator so again, ask if you have issues taking your luggage up and down a couple of flights of stairs. The downside is they offer all of these discounts to tickets for surrounding town tours if you "tour the property." I know they are trying to sell you timeshares. However the discounts are really good and "tours" are pretty early in the morning so you still have your day ahead of you. We rescheduled our tour for 10am due to circumstances and they agreed, only to call our room and say no one was available to show us around, they messed up the scheduling. So our tickets went from $20 to over $100. They would not honor the original prices even though it was their mistake. I tried to push back but they would not budge. The timeshare guys are jerks. They have a quota to fill. We declined to get involved with them any further and decided to make other plans. So avoid them all together or just go through their motions to get what you want. They are not accommodating and are very rude. A very negative experience. Overall we would stay again and knowing what we know, ask some questions ahead of time.
