Great location, great staff, and a great pool with views of the harbor

The hotel itself has such promise. The concierge even though she was very pleasant and wonderful to talk to she directed us to speak to a promotional deal and deterred us to the representative that spoke to apple from the airport. This confused us because I wasnt sure if we would be contacted for pick up back to the airport. So I never seen an apple representative, that was nerve wracking. Then when we checked in I had given papers from apple showing the hotel that the water taxi was included and they denied that they had that service and would check into it. I also inquired about the water taxi service with the apple representative whom I texted and called and he stated it was tesoro hotel promise not apple. That was never resolved, even though it wasnt a big deal it was stupid. Then when we went to the promotional tour we had already eaten breakfast and the tour guide wanted breakfast anyway and I didnt need to sit once again for a breakfast so he was fine with that and proceeded with the tour that ended up being over 4=5 hours long after they were disgusted we had another commitment for the day and turned their offer down. When we arrived to our first room offered the smell was overwhelming so we were given another room, a very nice room. Even through the promotional tour the rooms had smells to them. The pool area and staff were very nice, However, we never had use of the swim up bar and was told their is only service at the restaurant bar, no swim up bar. I would have really enjoyed that and everyone at the pool didnt understand why they didnt have this goin on. Otherwise, I really loved the hotel setting and location. The People were nice with the exception of the check in staff.

Everything great, except the food was ok.

The entire staff was excellent and provided for all our needs. Accomodations were very nice and bed was very comfortable. The food served was just ok. Food outside of the hotel was excellent. Room service food was worse than the restaurant.

Enjoyed our stay in Cabo

I have no complaints with our Apple Vacation. The hotel was in a great location, so we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. A breakfast buffet was included and was average. The transfer to and from the hotel went very smoothly.

Older hotel but clean and well maintained. Some rooms have stairs to access so if you have wheelchair or leg problems make sure you can get a room without the steps. Local shopping and the marina are fantastic. We traveled with a fractured ankle, not easy. Had some trouble getting the marina view room we paid extra for because of the stairs. However... Blanca Diaz saved the day... Blanca is a manager at Tesoro and she got us into a large suite with marina view and no stairs.... This saved our vacation. For the money you can't find a better place to stay. All the local restaurants accept USD or credit cards... Food and drink is very cheap... Weather is great.... good vacation location.

You can’t beat the service the staff is fantastic .And if you’re staying at a hotel at a town come in for the day they have a fantastic package for food and drinks for four hours for $40 US at the pool area. Some of the staff of been here for years and they are fantastic . You can walk to Cabo Wabo, squid Roe ,giggling Marlin take a water taxi for three dollars to the beach and stay at the Office .

The hotel itself was nice, with a fantastic location for enjoying Cabo's shopping and nightlife. Rooms were comfortable, and well kept. I'd give it an excellent review, if it wasn't for the restaurant service. I opted for the included breakfast package. The service at the buffet was fine, and the food wasn't bad, as buffets go. The other restaurant provided better food, but the service left much to be desired. My overall experience was certainly good enough to stay here again.

Exceeded High Expectations!

We just got back from four nights at this hotel, and I am glad I didn't listen to the many negative reviews....those guests must have had one-off bad experiences and I don't think they are representative of most guests' experiences here. This hotel is great! As many have said, the location is amazing and the views of the Marina are unbelievable. The value you get for your money is hard to find elsewhere ( we paid a total of $150 / night for a Jr Suite during non-peak season). The WiFi is free, you can pay extra for faster speeds. Yes, the rooms can be hard to find, but that is due to the unique design of this humongous property and is just part of the experience...it's also really not that hard to navigate after a few tries. Nobody approached us at all about a time share, and no additional excursions or offers were presented to us. Check-in was a breeze, took less than three minutes. You have to wear wristbands, it's really not a big deal though since almost everyone in this area is a tourist. I would strongly recommend upgrading to the Junior Suite, the rooms are huge and come with a private balcony. There is a security presence, it is hardly a nuisance if you aren't doing anything stupid and is mostly to keep those who don't belong out...they didn't make us feel uncomfortable at all. I believe other reviewers have mentioned that you can't bring outside food or drinks into your room, I don't think that is correct because we brought plenty of food back into our room, no problem. The minibar is stocked with beer, wine, water and soda, we consumed everything and were only charged $70 USD. We didn't eat at the restaurants at this hotel, but a place called John's across the street was phenomenal. I would recommend skipping the all-you-can-eat option because there are TONS of food and drink options within a five minute walk that you will want to try instead. Only minor issues were the room keys didn't always work, they charged an automatic $9 "tip" for the mini-bar, and the service time for me to get a drink at a pool was very slow. Also, upon check-out, we had to show a ticket to get out of the lobby...the front desk forgot to give it to us so we were stopped and questioned even though security clearly saw us checking out a few steps away! But very minor issues, and we will certainly be booking here next time we come to Cabo!!
