Colonnaded buildings with cherry-red tile roofs are faintly visible from crannies in the beautiful emerald greenery.

Take a dip in one of three on-site swimming pools, fall into a spell with a relaxing massage at the resort's intimate spa, or try your hand at a variety of complimentary non-motorized water sports. Kids will adore the Flying Fish Kids' Club, which provides all the entertainment any child could ever ask for. Experience waterskiing, banana boating, pool volleyball, snorkeling, sailing, boogie boarding, kayaking, windsurfing, and paddle boarding in comfortable, temperate weather. Practice the long ball with a round of golf on handsomely-cropped greens at Royal Westmoreland or Apes Hill, two magnificent 18-hole championship golf courses.

Allow a friendly concierge to arrange amazing island adventures for you and your family, including catamaran cruises, rugged safari tours, labor-free shopping trips, and glass-bottomed boat rides. Visit St. Nicholas Abbey, one of the three remaining Jacobean mansions in the Western Hemisphere, or take a solar-powered electric tram and enjoy spectacular views of sparkling pools, hanging stalactites, and gorgeous limestone caves.

Satiate your appetite at Sugar Cane Room for a fantastic, complimentary full breakfast buffet including waffle and egg stations prepared just how you like it. Eat your fill with an assortment of breads, muffins, and pastries, as well as more traditional breakfast items and local Bajan favorites like flying fish, fried plantains, and pumpkin and corn fritters. Rilaks Deck is another delightful option. This South Beach Miami-inspired outdoor lounge serves light snacks and cocktails in a festive ambiance. Music genres like jazz, soul, and R&B add a Caribbean flair that gives this pleasant hangout vitality and life.

Every room provides easy access to on-site recreational activities and state-of-the-art amenities including spacious bathrooms, a mini-fridge, and spectacular ocean-view balconies.

The Birthday Suprise

I took my daughter to Barbados for her 21st birthday to swim with turtles. She selected the Tararind ..we pulled up and we both gasped the pictures do not due it justice. From the front you are drawn right thru to the water, it is very impressive. Each view even inside the hotel is impressive. The staff is outstanding housekeeping exceptional there are 3 pools to choose from. The hotel has an open feel always clean as well as the grounds. The food is amazing we selected dishes outside of norm and we were always surprised one more delicious then the other. I would definitely recommend this hotel everyone in the hotel made us feel like we were home. This was one of the best holidays ever .... as I was reminded when I would go to do something and one of the staff was helping me. :) Truly an amazing hotel I appreciate all they did for us . The management and staff sent my daughter a dessert with a decorated plate and wine bottle to our room. I did not even ask them to do that. That shows how they feel about their guests ... your their family for your stay.

Tamarind Cove Hotel is always clean, you will not have a hard time finding a staff member, and they always are willing to help, or find out if everything is ok, or if they can do something to make your day enjoyable.

This year was our 9th visit to the Island and our first visit to Tamarind. Greeted with a choice of cocktail and friendly reception staff we instantly felt relaxed and ready to explore our new surroundings. We booked interconnecting suits and highly recommend this option if you are a family of 5+. (children 12yrs & 10yrs twins) The suits were airy, contemporary with plenty of space and ample storage for clothes. The bathrooms were very nice with really good showers. Location is fantastic and the water taxi makes a fantastic commute to Holetown and sister hotels. The boys loved the swimming pools, they thoroughly enjoyed club tamarind (Teen Lounge) and the staff made the boys very welcome in all areas of the hotel. The restaurant/bar staff were happy to serve the boys (with parental consent) their dinner orders and milkshake requests which did make life a lot easier for me. Otherwise I would have spent the holiday backwards & forwards to the bar sorting the boys. Tamarind were very good at ensuring the holiday was relaxing for everyone . The food, Wow the food. Plate after plate was completely faultless. with a varied menu to choose from and the warm bajun breeze across the restaurant deck made dinner time the most pleasurable part of the day. The staff work relentlessly through the heat of the day and still come out smiling in the evening and tolerate the bizarre meal requests from the children. There are lots of bars and restaurants very close by but to be honest we had the best time in the resort and the children whizzed of to club tamarind leaving myself & hubby to enjoy our wine in peace. My only observation is that I would love to see afternoon tea added as an option to the menus.

Lovely hotel

Third visit to tamarind, always at Easter and gets better each time. Not the most luxurious hotel but the location and the team make it a five star review. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, gym is decent and the breakfast selection is good made all the more enjoyable by Ether and her omelette lessons! A big plus for this hotel is that motorised water sports are included and the team on the beach cant do enough to help. The atmosphere around the pools is relaxed with great service from the pool bar team particularly The Rilaks pool from Alecia, Deon, Troy and Tito. Any issues are dealt with smartly by the reception team who genuinely look to try and help you. We met a number of people who visit every year and keep booking time after time - a great sign for any hotel. Thanks for a great holiday

This is a really friendly, low level hotel, with only 104 rooms, 3 floors and no lifts. The hotel has 2 main pools, both of which have a bar service during the day (main bar also does evening snacks and is next to the main restaurant for lunch and dinner) and there is also an adult only Spa pool. No room is much more than a 60 second walk to the beach, where you will find a good amount of sun beds and also the water sports centre. All water sports run by the hotel are free, from banana boats and jet skis, to stand up paddle boards and sailing. There are jet skis available from 3rd parties, but these aren’t free. The hotel bought fresh fruit around the pools and on the beach in the late morning and then came around with ice lollies in the afternoon. The hotel is trying to make itself the choice for families and as such there is a kids club for the youngest children and the “Teen “ Club Tamarind room, which has pool table, table tennis, computers, Table football and Basketball – all in a really nice sized air conditioned room. I stayed in an entry level Pool/Garden View Room, which was a really good size and decent facilities – Flat screen Satellite TV, fridge, safe, iron. iphone dock, espresso machine etc. All rooms either have a decent sized balcony or patio, with a couple of really comfy lounging chairs on them. You can actually see the sea from most of the pool view rooms. All the decor was ok, it could do with a little updating (floor tiles, shower heads etc), but I still really liked it. I had a look at a few other room types while I was there. The Garden View Suite is like a better decorated entry level rooms with everything that they were missing, so more modern, Rainforest shower heads etc, but for me the winner for me is the Ocean View Junior Suite. Really modern and light, the biggest rooms in the hotel and they can also make this room guaranteed interconnecting if required. This hotel only offers BB for bookings, but has a full pay menu service for lunch and dinner if you want to take advantage of it- although with so many great restaurants in Barbados it’s worth getting adventurous and exploring (Scarlett’s over the road is fantastic). The hotel is next to The House and Treasure Island (2 minute walk along the beach in either direction), which are both a Elegant properties as well (adults only), but you can eat in these properties and sign back to your room at the Tamarind. There’s also a regular boat service which takes you to the other 3 Elegant Hotel properties on the West coast, where you can do the same thing. If you’re looking for a hotel with lots going on in the evening and a real party vibe then this is not the hotel for you. If you’re a couple or young family looking for a hotel where the staffs attitude is a bright and as welcoming as the sun, where you can feel the sand between your toes, get active in the ocean or just chill in the Caribbean sunshine, then this is a good choice.

It really is elegant!!

Food was amazing and the view of the beach was magnificent. We ate our dinner listening to the waves crashing against the white sand. The staff were so kind and friendly. Also they offer complimentary water sports!! What more could you or your family want?
