Memories to be cherished forever

Everytime we come back from vacation I realize we don’t have any family photos. It’s either all of my kids or my husband and the kids. So, this time I was determined to hire professionals to capture some family photos. I figured getting even a half decent picture with all us together would be good enough for me but Studio Em surpassed by expectations! The photographer was very patient and professional and captured the most beautiful pictures. He took a lot of candid photos (not just typical posed ones) which ended up being some of my favorites. There were so many amazing shots I could barely chose my favorites. Needless to say I am very pleased with my decision to hire professionals and thanks to these pictures I will cherish these memories forever!

Pales in comparison to the Four Seasons next door

We came for our honeymoon and prepaid so we'd get an especially great deal. Sadly, we were really unhappy there. The place felt soulless in comparison to the Four Seasons next door. They said they had scaled back their bars and service because it was the low season... in early September. So we forfeited four pre-paid nights and moved hotels after just one night. This was the best decision we could have made. The hotel refused to refund us for the unused nights but they did give us 30,000 SPG points, the equivalent of 1 night stay. Thanks but, meh. The hotel manager defended the place because he said they pride themselves on providing a "calm, relaxing and private environment". However, this is not mutually exclusive with providing a welcoming and hospitable environment that is appealing to as many people as possible. When you go to Disneyland, Mickey Mouse is still there even in the low season. I love that there were very few other guests, but we were told that the amenities were scaled back because of the low occupancy. This just isn't right. The Four Seasons still had their DJ playing on the beach, even though occasionally no guests were around and only the bartender was there to appreciate it. :-) In fact, everywhere we went at the Four Seasons, the staff knew about our celebration and had a special treat for us. This included desert with our names and a heart written in chocolate, mimosas at breakfast, special cocktails at the pool, a trail of rose petals in our candlelit room... Heck, when we checked in, the whole management team was there to welcome us and congratulate us. We felt so so special and appreciated. It was absolutely magical. During our one night at the St. Regis, there was a wild fox eating garbage on the path outside of our room. Of course, I don't expect the resort to be devoid of wildlife, but it was fairly surprising and a little scary to come across a wild fox at such a high end place. How could none of the staff have noticed during the hour that I watched this happening? Imagine what could have happened if a guest was attacked?? I think if the Four Seasons wasn't in the picture, the St. Regis would be considered just fine. But it's impossible not to compare the two resorts. The Four Seasons exceeds expectations at every opportunity. Their staff, in particular, is unbelievably welcoming, personable, and genuinely passionate about making guests feel at home. When we didn't get that at the St. Regis, it was time to go. That's why we left the St. Regis early. Our honeymoon was just too important to us to waste it at a resort that doesn't seem to care we came all that way for the experience they could have offered. I wouldn't recommend anyone travel all the way to Punta Mita and gamble with their happiness. Do what we'll do: just stay at the Four Seasons and be certain of an amazing trip.

Fantastic photo shoot!

We are actually a couple of friends, but still thought it would be great to take advantage of Studio Em’s services at the St Regis Punta Mita. It was a lovely way to capture the beauty of the resort, but moreso it created memories to last a lifetime. Our gifted photographer, Marco, was very creative and found a great way to capture our friendship dynamic in a service that is usually for those in a romantic relationships. We have great candids and posed photos that we love and will cherish forever. The icing on the cake of a great trip!!!

If you don't love this place, you've got to question your own standards.

This May marks our family's second visit to the St. Regis Punta Mita and the place is outrageously amazing in virtually every way. It's utterly gorgeous. It's great for families of all sizes. The sunsets on the beach are some of the prettiest anywhere on earth. The breakfast buffet is scrumptious. The pools are great for kids. The rooms have outdoor showers ( and indoor ones). Service is wonderful. You can text a dedicated butler for anything you may want or need. The entire resort is compact yet never feels busy. Honestly: If you aren't able to experience a temporary bout of supreme happiness at the St. Regis Punta Mita, you really need to sit down and ask yourself some hard questions about your life. We were fortunate enough to in a beachfront suite this time. These suites have basically full kitchens and two bathrooms. They also have little private pools and hot tubs. It was really nice and, of course, I'd do it again. At the same time, the more basic room we had last year was also wonderful and it had arguably a better view of the sunset. If you are looking for a sandy beach, there is a great beach with really great waves in the town of Punta de Mita (perhaps five minutes away). The water is shallow so it feels safer for kids and there are families galore there on the weekends. Just walk across the notably pungent wooden bridge in town and you will be there. You can rent equipment at very affordable prices from the great guys at Stinky's. Punta de Mita also has some great restaurants.

I went with some friends to disconnect from the city and we nailed it. The staff is more than attentive and engaging, grounds amazing and the views are lovely. Walk by the beach at sunset you really don't wanna miss this time. The rooms are super neat and have a great design, a bathroom to die for and every space around makes you take thousand of pictures. Thank you
