I booked the trip in August, so that should have been ample time to book flight and hotel room type. My wife and I sat separately on long flights and hotel room had 2 small double beds...not great for couple splurging on vacation. The hotel was full and no option for queen or king bed was available.

We had a recurring ant problem. The ants entered our room via a small hole under the sliding glass door. Maintenance came and sprayed, but the ants continued to return. And, I was disappointed that there was no nighttime entertainment (e.g., dancing). We were told that it is only done during the high season. The resort was nearly full and filled with millennials and everyone sat around the bar drinking. We could have danced the night away instead of sitting and drinking. Had it not been for the ants and lack of nighttime entertainment, I would have given it an excellent.

Not your typical Marriott

Although the staff was quite nice and helpful and the hotel is adequate, you will not find the typical Marriott quality at this hotel. We had lots of plumbing and water issues. The staff tried to assist as they were able, but there were in going issues throughout our stay.

I was supposed to get $200.00 resort credit, I had it on my documents. I was advised that I didn't qualify as my package was based on 4 nights with 3 free nights. When I asked about it at check-in they said it would be deducted at my bill when I checked out. My wife, a travel agent booked this trip. She will not tell her clients about resort credit, as it is not honored.

Arrival at St Kitts Airport

We were advised that transportation would be provided by Apple Vacations from airport to Marriot Hotel...we were advised more than once. There was no one from Apple Tours at the airport. Took cab and paid $16.00, after waiting 40 min.for Rep from Apple. Island Tours apparently represents Apple..there was no sign letting us know that. After we registered at the Hotel we booked a trip to Nevis, the Rep for Island Tours gave us a $16.00 credit for the cab fare. Very poor communication regarding pick up at airport. You cannot correct a problem if you do not know it exists. That is the reason for my complaint.

Hotel is "tired" for a Marriott. Rating should be a 4 apple at best.

Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and helpful. We had the all inclusive plan added on and every employee was well-informed of what that entailed and explained to us what was covered and what wasn't so we wouldn't have any surprise charges. The hotel the perfect place to spend our honeymoon, right on the beach, lots of food and drinks and lots to do.

The staff at the resort, while moving at their own pace, were very friendly and wanting to please. It is not a resort for people who want instant service. Various aspects of the resort buildings showed, overall, poor maintenance. The pool was not a good one for swimmers. The beach might have been all right but seaweed was coming in at such a rate the staff could not keep it clean. There was very little entertainment in the evenings other than the casino. We have been on many other Apple tours which provided better resorts for less money.

Beautiful beach but that's where it ends.

Being a Marriott, I was expecting more. What I got was less. People talk about Island time, that should not apply to hotels. Wait over 2 hours trying to check in. First thing I notice was there was no place to eat breakfast. There is a coffee shop with pastries near the lobby but that was it. For lunch, there's a grill by the main pool but most of the food isn't healthy. There is also a pizza oven stand alone where you can order pizza most of the day. I waited nearly a hour after the staff "lost" my order. For dinner there was 2 restaurants. One is a Steakhouse, the other Sea Food. Both were the except for this hotel. Staff was hustled along by managers to check on guest and make sure food arrived on time. There is a sushi bar but it is just connected to the lobby bar. Another restaurant called the Cochina was never open the entire time I was there. But you can not survive on only eating dinner. The area surround the hotel is spare for other places. Most only open for dinner. Luckily, the local grocery store realizes the fault with this hotel and open a small store directly across the street. Almost all guest end up buying food and drinks and bringing them back to their rooms (fruits, juices, water, breakfast food, milk) Aside from the 2 restaurant staff, the rest spends a lot of their time talking to their friends instead of paying attention to guests. The main pool has the only bar, unfortunately the single attendant seems overwhelmed. It's also very congested with children playing right in front of the bar. The other 2 pools have almost no guest at them but also don't have any waiters or bar staff (so bring a large mug since glass isn't allowed and fill it up from your room and bring it with you) To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I'll rent a car next time (if I ever go back) just so I can leave and find places to eat. Rooms were nice, clean. AC worked well. No concern for security.

We’re Marriott property owners, purchased a day pass as we transited the island from a cruse ship. Provided access to hotel facilites including beach cabana, WiFi and all the comforts. Very nice place, going through progressive updates including the restaurants. Walking distance to a nearby golf course and shooing. Friendly staff, very clean and enjoyable. We’ll schedule a stay on our next return. Great place!

NIce hotel for St. Kitts

We stayed over New Years for a week. The hotel is large with an long open atrium in the center. Usually that design leads to noise but with a towel blocking the door crack at the bottom it was fine. The room has a sofa that one can sleep on as well. Bathrooms were a little dated, but the room otherwise has been updated. The pool area is large, but busy right at new years (had to "reserve" chairs over the busy dates). The beach was nice but windy. You can walk to a calmer one on the Caribbean side (by Mr. X's shiggidy Shack (ok food)) in about 15 minutes. They also have a shuttle to a nicer beach at the south side facing Nevis but it's only for timeshare residents - those in the hotel must take a taxi. That was quite off putting for me - supposedly a recent change as even the front desk staff didn't know - and shelling out $50 for the round trip when they have a van already going (and not full) is annoying. The restaurants were a mixed bag - seafood one (Blue?) and the lobby bar were good, but the poolside and Italian were not. Pizza place was good too actually. The cafe was good for quick breakfast and the sit down one for breakfast was good too if you're really hungry. I thought service was good, better than many places I've been in the Caribbean.

Wonderful stay!

First, I have NO idea where the negative reviews are coming from! Before we arrived, I was a bit worried because of some things I read on this site. Everyone staff member was helpful, friendly and warm. I really wish I could remember all their names. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a balcony that overlooked the main pool area and part of the ocean. We ate at the Bohemian ( restaurant near the pool), and has a very nice early dinner our first day there. We did try the pizza, and it was delicious. ( and it’s hand made, NOT frozen). The nice salad topped with fresh Mahi from the lobby bar/ restaurant was very tasty. ( they also have a sushi bar), hubby had a burger, which he liked very much. We had a car so did not eat all our meals at the hotel. The pools are great, Beach is beautiful and clean. No seaweed. Plenty of chairs and palapas. Yes, the waves can kick up on windy days. The spa looks nice, but didn’t indulge. The casino: on the small side. 1 craps table with limited times it is open, at least when we ere there. Few other table games. Only 1 or 2 $5 Black Jack tables, and 1 $50 table, I believe. The $5 tables use the automated continuous shuffling system instead of hand shuffling. I’m blaming that on my losing! Good complimentary drink service, though. There were activities and entertainment offered every day. A schedule is left in your room. We really enjoyed our stay here. I would definitely recommend.

We loved this location and the staff was fantastic! Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. The activities crew was great, especially Javen. He got into the games with our kids and was so nice to talk to. Our servers at the front entrance bar were so nice and welcoming. The pizza shack was a hit by our whole family. Honestly the best pizza we've had in a long time and yes we had it everyday. The rooms were a little outdated, but we didn't care because we were there to see the island, not be cooped up in our room. Excellent location!
