I've been to the Sirenis 7 times in a row. I love the place. Nothing super fancy, but comfy. In August the whole resort is closing down for a complete remodel. Can't wait to see what they do.

Excellent Family Vacation Destination

Sirenis is not the glitziest hotel in Punta Cana and is located a bit far from the airport (about 40 minutes drive), but the staff more than makes up for it! Everyone, from desk clerks and concierge to entertainers and managers were extremely friendly and helpful. Our family (2 adults and 3 kids, ages 13, 11, and <1) had great time at Sirenis. There is a pretty nice water park on premises, which the kids enjoyed.

Stay away from Sirenus

This waa a most dissapointing resort compared to the last resorr ww stayed at tgecExcellence. The food was poor at best, swimming pool closed at 600pm each day and the room was the worat we have staywd at all our times in Canxun and Punta Cana. Most people at the resrt felt as we did. aAlso we were limitto onlyvtwo reservations at the better restaurants. It Wevwerecalso tricked into seeingva vacation club opportunity, we were told if we ate breakfast with a rep we would get 80dollars credit and another reservation at an upscale restaurant. We got neither. This may have been a nice place 15-20years ago but now it needs a complete make over. We strongly strongly recommend savingvyour money and staying at Excellence if you don't have kids and the Nickelodeon or Hard Rock if you do. This was overall an awful place not up to what wecarecused too when staying in the Carribean. Finally thecemployees were nice by and large but they had little to work with.

Reviews are worthless. I read 100s and still believed I would have a great vacation. 1 week of hell. Bloody diarrhea, paramedics, sick in bed for 4 days, closed water park, entertainment staff called out Americans during a show and the crowd got nasty, don't touch water or fruit, no refrigeration used in DR. Remember, the country is neighbor to Haiti. Enjoy your stay

First and foremost ...The Outstanding staff!! Karla and Lenny made us feel like we were at home, and made sure we had everything to make our stay enjoyable. When we brought the party inside, we could always count on Pasqual and Evelyn to keep a smile on our face and cold drink in our hand. and we can't forget our newly adopted son, Rolando. He made sure we always had the best seats in the house for the wonderful shows. We can't wait for our next trip to the Dominican Republic!!!!

Worst Vacation Ever

I would encourage all people who travel their hard working money to NOT go to this resort. The food was terrible. The cleanliness of the pool was terrible. The resot actually had no running water for a day and a half. They make customers feel stupid when questions arise. If I knew how to get a porion of my money back, I would do so. There literally is ONE bar open in the lobby in the evening. ONE! There also are two others if you have a "restaurant" visit scheduled but no place to sit if you do not. The staff actually refused me a conversation with the manager. READ THE REVIEWS ON TRIP ADVISOR. The speak the truth. Take your own playing cards. That is all there is to do in the evenings. Every table and chair was filled with people playing cards because they were bored out of their minds. JUST AWFUL. Sadly, i booked through APPLE before with BARCELO RIVIERA MAYA and expected the same AMAZING experience. Go to Barcelo....stay away from this skanky joint.

Beautiful outdoor space BUT horrible rooms!
KILEY E.
May 24 2017
We had two switch rooms because our first room was completely disgusting. The toilet didn't work at all. The room was very old and everything was gross. After complaining enough they moved us to a new room. It was one of their updated rooms but it wasn't updated. The shower had mold in it, and again the toilet or the sink didn't work. The whole resort speaks Spanish and very few people here speak English. I found it so hard to talk to people there or tell them my concerns. We knew they couldn't understand us anyways. We went on an excursion and it was awful! The first shuttle picks us up and drops everyone on the bus in the middle of a town. Of course they don't speak English so we have no clue what's going on. We were stuck there for 45 minutes before another bus picks us up. Then we get to where we are supposed to get our boat and our tour guide or doesn't speak English is arguing with the guy at the dock. It was very scary for us and our kids. Once we got on the boat the rest of the excursion was great until the ride home. We get on a bus to go back to our hotel and the driver picks up random hotel workers and drops them off places for money. All while my family including kids are on the bus. It was very inappropriate. We were over an hour and a half late because of this so we missed our reservation for dinner. Honestly the trip in a whole was horrible. I will never got back there again. I need to make sure I do a better job at researching the place we are staying because I wouldn't recommend that resort or any excursions to anyone.

Disappointing and Not as advertised
KATHLEEN H.

We recently stayed at Sirenis Resort. Our room needed updating.. The bathroom on the third floor leaked into our bathroom requiring two separate visits from imaintenance. The maid service was great the first day, however they neglected to provide washcloths daily. The coffee station was not restocked with milk substitute. Used glassware was never replaced. The pool was dirty and a light fixture was hanging loose in the pool. The pool was too small for the crowd. There was no adult pool and children hung around the swim up bar. The lounge chairs should have been hosed off daily, due to the bird excrement on them. The beach towels were too small to cover the dirty lounge chairs! The aquacenter was closed two days during our stay. The nightly shows are enjoyable. The buffet staff worked hard to meet our needs. We were only permitted to make reservation at 2 restaurants which was not as advertised We were asked several times to take a tour of the grounds to sell us a membership. We were not interested. We would not go back to this resort! We are very disappointed!

This resort was the worst I have ever been to. The staff was not accommodating when we presented the MANY issues we encountered during our stay, the manager proceeded to get defensive and argumentative with me. She acted as if we should have expected to lose power, have no water/toilet functionality and the overwhelming smell of smoke in our non-smoking room. Our room was dirty and consistently smelled of smoke and sweaty socks, much of the smell came from our sheets on our bed. We went to speak with the Apple Vacations representative the day after our arrival to see what our options were. He claimed he would look at other resorts and that he would come in the next afternoon instead of researching them the same day to discuss things further, but we were told to give the resort another day. We both decided that we would much rather spend the remainder of our Honeymoon at home and cut our losses than be stuck there another night so the following morning we flew home 3 nights early. We were treated poorly by the staff and were not offered any sort of refund for our stay. This was the first and last time we will ever be using Apple Vacations.

Week trip to Punta Cana

The staff at this all-inclusive resort was absolutely amazing. Always smiling and doing everything to make the guests happy. All around a great vacation. Anthia was great in specific. The pools are great, and were not too crowded. The staff is always putting somethig on such as competitions, aerobics, or just dancing. The room blew our expectations out of the water. The view of our room was breathtaking and we had so much room, including two TVs and a living room, and we only bought the basic room! The only bad thing I have to say about this resort is the lack of food. The one restaurant we really wanted to try was closed the whole time we were there, and when we got there to book our dinner reservations, they said all of the restaurants were fully booked so unfortunately we had to eat at the buffet the whole trip, which was not bad at all, but it is the same food each day pretty much. I would definitely recommend this resort, especially for the price you pay for it.

Our stay was wonderful at Sirenis Punta Cana Resort Casino & Aquagames! The staff made you feel as if you were the only guests there, we were with a group of 28 and we all felt the same way. Our room was wonderful, food was great, we had a dinner on the beach which was beyond words. Polanco was always showing up anywhere we were asking if we needed anything and making sure it was fixed if we need it. Sexy Pelucha and the Animacion Super team were very great!!!!!!! the whole time we were there they were art the pool doing aerobics, dancing having games, and challenges. At night we enjoyed the shows never a dull moment. Our group even got challenged to a basketball game (we won). As soon as we arrived we were given a welcome and just before we left we were given a great send off. Knseia and Gigi made sure our trip was wonderful. I highly recommend this resort. I wish I was still there being pampered

Wonderful Veg-Friendly Vacation!!

Our family spent a week at Sirenis in Punta Cana and had a absolutely wonderful time! Rooms: We were given a family suite in the Tropical side (the renovated section) of the resort. Room was clean and spacious. There was a living room with two sofas, a large tv with tons of English channels including HBO at no extra cost. The sleeping room was large enough for two queen beds plus a crib and with extra space. There was enough storage space for clothes and luggage. Food: Our family of 5 includes vegans and vegetarians. We told the resort of our dietary restrictions before arriving and we were assured the kitchen could accommodate. And it was true! Karla in management, Chef Pablo, and kitchen staff went above and beyond to make sure we had good vegan food. We would arrive at the buffet, pick up any salad/fresh-juice/fruits we wanted, and then the chef would bring out vegan warm meals to our table in large casseroles (it was way more than we could eat). We had vegan pancakes, oatmeal, and walnuts in the mornings; and in the evenings we had lentils with vegetables & rice, TVP & veggie stir-fries, avocado salads, house made veggie burgers, and more. We were blown away! And the sweetest gesture came on the last night, when Chef Pablo brought out a vegan birthday cake, beautifully decorated with strawberries, and a fancy candle! Wow! We couldn't have asked for more. Chef Pablo checked in with us at almost every meal to make sure we were fed well, really exceptional service. Thank you. fyi: The a la carte restaurants (w tried the Mexican, Japanese, and Italian restaurants are nice for a change but they don't work as well for veg'n diets. Staff: The staff was exceptional, friendly, and showed a high level of hospitality. Our whole family, even the kids, commented on how the staff was happy! They really seemed to enjoy and take pride in their work. Entertainment: The nightly entertainment (Micheal Jackson night, Battle of the Bands type show, Acrobatics & Circus) was high quality and fun for the whole family, it just started a bit late for our kids (starts at 9:30pm). Throughout the day, the Animators staff led games for the kids like an ice-cream party, beach soccer, small carnival games, kids fashion show, and more. My kids enjoyed the activities which were appropriate for all ages but mainly for those under 12. Note that there isn't a Kids Club where you just drop off your kids and leave, instead the kids activities run throughout the day. The Animators also led activities for adults like kayak race in the pool, beach volleyball etc. Pool: It was the longest pool we had ever seen. On the map, it looks like there are many separate small pools, but all these pools are actually linked, like a long, winding pool! Swimming from one end of the pool to the other was a fun challenge for all of us! Beach: The beach was wonderful, clean pale sand, turquoise blue water at times (not always), tall palm trees we sat under for hours, and despite the resort being full the beach was not overcrowded. Most days the red flag flew near the lifeguard station indicating the water was too rough to swim. However, we still went swimming with caution and enjoyed diving in the waves! Actually the day the yellow flag was flying the water was so calm that we missed the rough waves! Cleanliness: Clean resort and fun water slides, well maintained grounds, peacocks roam one area of the resort! I can not speak to the quality of the rooms on the Cocotal side of the resort--we stayed on the Tropical side. Activities: We all loved the water slides at the Aquagames! They were clean and well maintained. NOTE: Swim t-shirts are not allowed on the slides. The swimwear MUST be sleeveless. We also enjoyed foosball, ping-pong, and tennis. There are bike tours but there are no bikes for smaller people. The archery, though listed, didn't exist. The golf driving range was not worth the time. Though they are plenty of other activities to participate in, it would be nice if the space for the archery and golf was renovated. Towels: Getting fresh towels is not an issue. But be sure to get your towel cards upon check-in, it makes things easier. Minor annoyance: The no-smoking policy was not enforced. So a few guests would smoke in the open lobby space and we had to navigate around them. Our family would highly recommend this resort, especially for families. It is a short and comfortable drive from the airport, away from the very busy resort strip which is closer to the airport. The upbeat, accommodating, and friendly staff really put this resort well over the mark. We thank all the staff, specially Chef Pablo and his team, Karla in management, and Rose in the concierge services, for making our experience at Sirenis wonderful. Thank you.

This was our second time at the resort. Excellent experience. We had the opportunity to be guests of the Premium Travel group. Excellent choices at the a la carte restaurants. Thank you to Raphael, for talking us in to the Brazilian a la carte. Pool and beach are always clean and tidy. The rooms are super and tended to daily. The buffet restaurant in the lobby has a really wonderful choice, and all food that is supposed to be hot is, indeed, hot. The animation crew work really hard and entertain all age groups. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
