Great hotel - beware of beach specifics

Beach is "not swimable" most of the time due to the natural rip currents, which we were not aware of at the time of booking

The Sheraton Hacienda was lovely!! I would go back in a minute! The only issue I noticed is the front desk staff rarely smiled nor was overly friendly. As they finally accommodated my Starwood status and credited $200 for Food and Beverage, they seemed to do it reluctantly. I don't think they have been trained on hospitality...I think this would make the Sheraton top notch. The bellman, and many of the wait staff were very friendly and hospitable. Arturo and Alejandro were exceptionally kind and upbeat!!

Fantastic resort, great service, no issues (just get past the time share sales pitch with a simple "no, not interested"). Great beachside resort, older crowd, no partying 20 year olds :)

A++++++ Resort

Absolutely loved this place! It is so beautifully landscaped and very private. The staff is very attentive and willing to go the extra mile to help. We toured a few other resorts while were in Cabo but didn't find one we liked as well. I can't wait to go back.

BEST Week in Los Cabos

Let me start off by saying this was my first time visiting the west coast of Mexico. I have been to the east coast many times. Los Cabos is completely different, but in a great way. It is quiet, the people are friendly and the weather is amazing. We stayed at the Sheraton Grand Los Cabos. I am SPG Platinum, and was recognized the second we checked in. We arrived at midnight, and the front desk attendant was super friendly and helpful. I booked a standard garden view room with two queen beds. The hotel went ABOVE and BEYOND to upgrade us to a three bedroom, three bathroom ocean front suite! It was two stories, had a living room, kitchen and multiple balconies. This is why I love SPG. The recognition here was just outstanding. The resort has plenty of restaurants to choose from, and is also a quick taxi ride in to the main city. We ate at De Cortez (the fancier waterfront restaurant in the hotel), and Tomatoes. Both meals were great. Every other night we went in to town for dinner. Breakfast was amazing. SPG Platinum gets you two free continental breakfasts. It is $10 to upgrade to the full breakfast, and it is SO worth it. The spread they have out each morning is beautiful. Everything you could imagine for breakfast, and more. The breakfast also included bottomless make your own mimosas and bloody marry's! An awesome way to start the day. The resort is huge. There are plenty of pools to choose from, and we never had an issue finding chairs. Some of the reviews I read prior to coming mentioned issues with towels and towel cards. It was so simple. They give you a towel card for every person at checkin. It is yours for the week to exchange for a towel each day. Not a big deal at all. The front desk agent who checked us in even gave us an extra towel card for each of us. Unfortunately, I got sick during the trip. I went to the front desk and spoke with Arnoldo. He immediately called a doctor and had them come to the hotel for me! Then, when I arrived back at my room, there was tea and honey waiting for me. The staff here is unbelievable. I am currently on my last night here and have no desire to leave. This place is lovely, the staff is warm and welcoming and I will DEFINITELY be back! Thanks so much to everyone who made this trip so great!

I want to start off by saying that Nina, from the Concierge & Mary, the Front Desk Manager took excellent care of my partner and myself! Everyone from the Bellman to the wait staff to the housekeepers made our trip everything and more! The property is so beautiful and at a great location to have a great getaway! I will be recommending this location to family & Friends! Thanks again to all the staff at the Sheraton Grand Los Cabos Hacienda del Mar for taking wonderful care of us! Be Well, Chris Murillo

My family, together with my sister's, and our mom spent a week in this wonderful place. I loved how our room had a view of the ocean, and golf course. The architecture suites the location- the play of colors, meandering walkways, and rustic driveways make you feel you're in a relaxing place. The hotel staff were very courteous, and helpful whenever we needed their assistance. My son and I played golf at Cabo del Sol, with the hotel's concierge helping us schedule it. And, did I mention delicious food too! Keep it up guys, you're all doing a good job!

Customer service lacking

Stay here if you want horrible customer service, power outages, a cold pool and spotty WiFi! Hey Sheraton- Celia at the front was so unhelpful you should think about some customer service training on that one. After checking out with her and spending $1200 in 18 hours we asked for a WiFi code just to get directions for 10 min. Your guest WIFI was down in the lobby. Celia said that only guests checked into rooms could have WIFI access on the only WIFI network that was running. Really?

This resort is amazing. I love the fact that it's decor and architecture are heavily influenced by Mexican culture unlike some of the trendier resorts and hotels. Every single staff member was extremely pleasant and helpful. They do a great deal to upkeep the property. There are enough pools to be able to spread out. One small note is that people will drop towels on pool chairs and are then nowhere to be seen for hours, so if you're not there early to secure a spot, finding a chair could be nearly impossible. There are lots of restaurant options that are absolutely delicious and (what I believe to be) reasonably priced. I did get services at the spa, which is absolutely amazing, and the massage was great. The jacuzzi area is also very relaxing after the massage. Be ware that there are lots of vendors on the beach and if you give one of them attention, they will all come flocking. I had a great time here and would definitely come back!
