This was our second trip to this resort , so what difference and not to the good !!! We were given our hotel room key and told good bye go find your room, no welcome back so 9 people in tow off we went! !!! I understand the smallness of the resort but no snack bar to eat ?? We arrived at 8;30 so we found our room , changed, meet in the lobby, we got dinner at 9;30 it was picked over and very limited but thats okay we could go to the snack bar ..... but there wasn't one :( Not much staff on hand at the pool bar so it was 15 min wait for drinks !! There is no place from 5;30 to 7 to eat , try telling a 3 year old to wait lol !!! The rooms were clean but dated . The pool was cloudy and closed for one day . At a 4 star resort we expected more !! this wasn't our first time here but it will be our last !! We witnessed a beautifull wedding on the sunday, that partied till the weer hours and then listened to them dismantle it at 3;30. poor planning, no we didn;t want sleep on our last night !!! we understand to get a pool view to expect some noise but this was ludcris !! it was a great flight home with a 3 year and two eldery people that had no sleep !!! We went home disapointed and feeling short changed !!! On a postive note though the weather was hot hot hot and the ocean great !!!

Terrible experience!!!! Check you linens twice!!

The "high end property" they advertise it's a total fiasco. We stayed here only because we were looking for a relaxing getaway and the rates were pretty good ($155 a night for 2 adults and 1 child). We booked a "garden view" room, but it really overlooked the entrance to the hotel. We had a balcony with one, single chair.. it was a little bizarre since the room next door had a table and chairs. We didn't pay attention to that and decided to take a shower before heading to the pool, there were no toiletries, no Kleenex and only 2 towels. We had to call the front desk and they sent us some after about 20 minutes. After the last person showered the bathroom floor had water everywhere, water was coming out the tub. We called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person that only suggested we get more towels to dry up the floor while we use it.. a little disappointed but it only got worse. The second day we went to have breakfast and stayed out of the room until about 2pm. When we went back only one of the beds was done. Unsure about the situation we checked to see if the cleaner was still on the floor, but there was nobody. Another call to the front desk! On the last day, when we were packing to leave we moved everything off the bed and found out the linen in one of the beds had blood stains!!!!!! It was disgusting. This hotel has been one of the biggest disappointments. This Sheraton does not meet the standards that you may be used to in the US. It is not worth the money you save compare to other properties.

Thieves and Liars, management stole my money!!

I stayed here in July. I had an all expenses trip. The noise was so bad that I couldn't hear the tv set. All evening one night. Instead of telling me that it would only be one night I was told that it would be ongoing every night and I would have to upgrade to a suite. An additional $400.00!!!!!! I had no choice as it was unbareable. They refused to even do a free upgrade. Upon seeing the new room it was dump. Adjoining doors does not make a suite. It was in an empty building and I was the only one in the building. Wandering back, I found the party was over. I went back to my old room and never had another problem.. However, upon returning home, I found they had the nerve to keep the $400 charge for the upgrade on my credit card. As I had had to sign for it, I was unable to remove it. This means that I had a suite and a room in the main hotel for "one" person for the stay. A suite that I spent approximately 2 hours in. The hotel was 3/4 empty so it is clear that they get any money any way that they can. There was never a piano player in the piano bar. The food was re-done each day. The entire hotel smells of mold. Swimming pools are empty and fountains turned off to save. But charging me for a suite that I didn't use and lying about the noise in order to push me into paying for it is the most slimy underhanded thing I have ever seen. The management is incredibly rude to English speaking people. A horrible place!!!!! ...and it is near "NOTHING"

Good potencial but poor management

First visit to Panama. Chose this because it was a good deal and we wanted to experience the country. We have been to other all inclusive and thus have a point of reference to rate this place. Let's start with the positive: wonderful long beach that we loved to walk on. Nice grounds, friendly staff. Food: not too spectacular but we liked it, it varied most days, felt like at home, that is enough. Restaurant management: poor. Many items were not replaced, sometimes getting a coffee was an adventure (empty pots), understaffed, some employees were doing multiple tasks. Only one line, made waiting long. Variety much less that at similar type resorts. A la carte places inconsistent, Mediterranean good, grill so-so. In short, good intentions but incompetent managers. Grounds nice but noise was at times too much even sitting at the beach. Too crowded. Very few places to get a drink or a snack. Needed patience! Again, staff was doing the best they could. Rooms: our was clean and in God working condition but with old furniture and not enough of it. A king bed with one night stand? A coffee maker with cups but no coffee supplies, an empty paper tissue box? Poor lighting, only one relaxing chair? This is attention to detail that good management could easily fix. Entertainment was less than in other places and too noisy because many rooms are right there. Beach furniture was not in good shape. To summarize, Sheraton has pretty much dropped the ball. No wonder I do not stay at many of their properties much more either for pleasure or business. They really need a shake up.

Sheraton Bijao Beach Resort "queres a minha opiniao to nem chegas as Tres estrelas o servico e terrivel :( . The reason I gave 3 stars is because the amazing New year dinner and foam party the food was excellent the decoration beautiful well done love it .*****:) Service was very poor not what you expect from 4 stars hotel !:( The rooms are clean every days fresh towels but need little improvement ,replace the old tub! The food on the buffet are ok ,need more variate's .They also have Japanese and grill restaurant that are very good . The beach are not the best ones ,have strong waves and black sand because of the volcano. The weather was amazing fantastic sunny days my family have a great time . If you are use to the service in Cuba or the Dominica Republic, that's where Panama is a zero! I had to wait for a glass of wine, coffee, water, you name it it almost didn't show up! It was more like self service, and don't think tipping makes a difference here, it seems if you tip they ignore you more lol It's a nice place and after we got over the lack of service we enjoyed ourselves. I would go back to Panama as it is beautiful and is safe.
