I read a lot of negative reviews with regards to this property. In my opinion, this place was fantastic for a family vacation. Great buffet and pool snack bar, excellent beach with no seaweed, fun water slide and they also had a fun games room in the teen club that included two pool tables, fooseball table, ping pong table and Nintendo wii. Excellent bang for your buck.
Enjoyed our Stay

We stayed at Sheraton at the end of December 2014, we really enjoyed the stay. as we are vegetarians we were worried about the food but we were taken a back by the vegetarian choices that they had at the buffet, all in all we enjoyed food very much. The staff were very friendly and courteous, most of them don't speak much English but they did their best to satisfy the guests. They kept the pools clean and the beach was awesome (you will be disappointed if you are looking for white sandy beach). There are few things that they need to improve, the check-in was awful, we reached the resort around 9pm and by the time the check-in was completed it was past 10:30, that was a long wait. After the check-in when we went down stairs to get the dinner we were told that the dinner buffet was closed at 10 therefore no food for us, then we had to run around talking to individuals for about 15 minutes before they were able to provide us cheese sandwich with bananas. so my advice for individuals who are getting there late go down stairs and get the dinner first then do the check-in. the rooms are very basic, we had a hard time closing our washroom door and on top of it the door was missing the knob, we did complain to them but nothing was done. if you are planning to take any excursions please don't take the city tour in which they are supposed to take you to panama canal/shopping/lunch and second city tour, we ended up spending more than 5 hours in the bus because of the panama city traffic but if you can take the Anton valley tour and you will enjoy it. Omar/Jose the SunWing reps at the resort are excellent individuals, they were very helpful to us.

Just came back from a week with our family (6 adults and 2 kids) and we all said it was a great vacation. As others have pointed out, the rooms could use some updating, but the food was very good, the beach clean, the drinks top notch (served real champagne).
We were there for New Years...WOW...what an amazing evening.. Incredible dinner around the pool with entertainment, a party on the beach with cases of champagne and a full bar...incredible fireworks.
My grandkids enjoyed the Kids Club and the people there were great to them. The head of food and beverage Jorges Martines was an amazing example of leadership...we saw him New Years morning serving coffee or helping at the pool bar or cleaning tables and speaking to guests.
it is VERY HOT there....by 8 am in the 30's so be prepared for that...and if you want a polapa or umbrella join the crowd and get up early!
