We stayed here for 11 days in July this year for my partners Birthday ,staff decorated the table with a birthday banner and birthday confetti for him that day all the staff work really hard and are always so cheerful and happy to help you , really enjoyed the Bajan food .The hotel is perfectly placed to get around the island, its in the historic Garrison area and also right next to the horse racing track a walk or a ride to Bridgetown not far from Oistins and St Lawrence Gap, would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily go back tomorrow

Very enjoyable

The room is lovely- not ‘corporate’, but with character. You can’t fault the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff either. Food can be a bit ‘samey ‘ but Rachel’s is good and my husband loved chopstix. The fly in the ointment was the seaweed on the beach- happens now and again we were told, last time 4 years ago, but the guys try hard to get it off the beach and the hotel does a run 2 or 3 times a week to nearby copacabana (fab) beach, free beds, umbrella and 2 free drink vouchers. Would highly recommend it.

Great staff, room upto good standard only one minor complaint for Room 369 the bath tub needs improvement. Thank you to all staff for making our anniversary night great ... The food was good the hospitality 1st class. The beach had a seaweed problem this appears to be consistent around various beaches on the Island. We would definitely return here again.

1 off the worst hotels in Caribbean I have been too, Not all is as appears

1 off the worst hotels in Caribbean I have been too, Not all is as appears. Just returned from 12 days at this resort booked through Virgin and have to say it is one off the most disappointing hotels and experience i have stayed in and promises so much but fails to deliver on so many area's. Also so many false claims by virgin and hotel on amenties, all-inclusive, entertainment , beach, restaurants and the infamous DEPARTURE BEACH which doesn't exist. currently have an outstanding complaint with virgin who have offered £200 compensation so far ... This is not a sour grapes review this is accurate and there were another 2 couples when i left resort on 12th July all complaining also and also had meetings with the management team on resort about our concerns. - Firstly there is NO Departure Beach available despite virgin advertising and are actually still advertising this. You can however have your room for longer on departure day but you need to PAY for it? -There is not 2 pools, there is 1 small pool and the other one is a lazy river. -The beach is a disgrace and you cannot go a lay there. There is a decking area b ut this is only for guests who choose to pay $30 usd per day per person for this ?? -The all-Inclusive is not really all-inclusive. Your mini bar doesn't get stocked in room, you have to pay for water and the selection behind bar is minimum at best what you can get. Oh but if you want your bar stocked in room with soft drinks, water and beer its $30usd extra per person per day ? -There is 3 restaurant onsite however the buffet restaurant opens 6 days per week, the main restaurant 4 days per week and the other 1 2 days per week but is adult only and its only a Chinese ?? - The Pool Deluxe pool access dbl/dbl is anything but deluxe and i paid extra for the room expecting it to be as described. it was basically 2 double beds shoved in a room and the pictures on the virgin website do not show this room at all. The best rooms are the club rooms but wait yes you need to pay extra for them and upgrade. -They also do a weird towel exchange supposed to be every other day took us 5 days to have room cleaned and towels and linen changed after complaining.. If you want them earlier changed its $20usd for the privilege. -Also the pool side toilets were overflowing and despite human waste all over flour and corridor it took them 3 days the clean and sort it out, not very pleasant in 30c heat. - The hotel also states its 4-5* rating its actually no better than 2* in Caribbean standards . -The hotel also boasts family friendly with daytime activities in around pool and on beach such as volley ball and non motorised sports .. Still waiting to see where this happens. -evening entertainment isnt upto much normally a few local singers in Bar from 830pm-to 10pm and thats it. Overall hotel and resort has failed to deliver on lots of areas and its a shame as if it didn't over promise and create a false impression then people i guess would be more happier. I have been travelling the Caribbean with my family for 20years and this is by far the bottom of list of resorts i have stayed in for both Value for money, quality and service. If you are looking for cheap and cheerful this is for you, if its something special with a little luxury then its not

Our second stay was a return to the hotel from a 7 cruise; however we were not permitted to book a table at Racheal's which was a big disappointment to us, as we had already had to experience the buffet on our first nights stay before the cruise, and was not impressed with the service down there.
