Just coming back from Saint Peter’s bay with our two sons (6 and 3 yo). Ocean front premium villa. Everything was perfect. The villa was gorgeous and very clean. Housekeeping was tremendous! The view from our large balcony was amazing. We can access the beach from our balcony with a private elevator. This easy access was very convenient with our kids. We also very much appreciated the service on the beach, with always someone ready to install very comfortable mattress, beach towels, and umbrellas exactly where we wanted. The beach was perfectly cleaned. We also enjoyed having lunch at port Ferdinand quarterdeck where our kids can play in the gorgeous pool while we can eat/relax and easily keep a close eyes on them. We also very much appreciated our fishing trip with Shaquille: great experience! Will go back with no hesitation!

Awesome Ocean front Villa and amenities & service (keep in mind this is not a Sandals or Hilton)

We had a great stay at Saint Peter's Bay Concierge: all of the UNNA employees went above and beyond with service. Some better than others but totally met my expectations in arranging anything we needed. Some of the services they arranged were expensive, sigh...Barbados is expensive. Previous reviewer bashing property for rental car and roads is unnecessary and had nothing to do with the property. The room. Our villa was super clean and everything worked flawlessly. The daily service was extraordinary. The AC was ice cold, water hot, coffee maker efficient, etc...and it is nice of them to provide some starter provisions in the room. There was a glitch in the elevator from our patio 1 day and it was fixed in minutes. The beach is smallish...not tons of room for rows and rows of chairs and the tide actually reaches the chairs in some areas. The water is beautiful and there are adequate beach toys for everyone to have fun. The staff on the beach were all very very nice. The restaurant is good, not great. Service was slow for lunch 1 day, really really slow and we let them know. Breakfast was solid albeit expensive and their prices are very high. If sensitive to pricing you should food shop and cook. A pot of coffee there is no more than 2 cups. There was power washing going on the pool deck every day which was a little distracting. The gym is well equipped. Location of the resort is pretty central to Holetown and Speighttown...you should know it is not very close to Bridgetown but you can get anywhere in 25 minutes. Very important to keep in mind this is not a Sandals or Hilton. These are private residences that are sometimes rented out. So there are less people and more privacy and not as many amenities. In exchange you get a fantastic residence for your family with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. if you read previous post you should know that the roads in Barbados are narrow and filled with pot holes. And it challenging driving at night. Also, taxis are very expensive and so are rental cars, but they delivered it to the resort and I was able to drop it at the airport. None of these things are the responsibility of the resort.

Not 5 Stars, Inaccurate Billing, Check your bill

Based upon the reviews, I was expecting better. The resort takes ZERO responsibility for the issues onsite. They acknowledge some things, but haven't taken steps to resolve them PROPERLY. BILLING: Barbados added a travel occupancy tax recently. No problem. But the DAILY SERVICE FEE is another story entirely. DISPUTE IN BILLING: We were charged at time of booking ROOM RATE + DAILY RATE + TAX and occupany tourist levy later billed. We PAID a DEPOSIT -- all above board....HOWEVER, we were again billed at the property for another set of SERVICE FEES, and our rental car was charged twice. The accounting system is HORRIBLE and CANNOT be trusted. MY ADVICE TO YOU IS TO CHECK YOUR BILL and compare to your reservation details. At checkout, I received 4 different room folios with completely different amounts. Admittedly, they have an "archaic billing system" according to the Front Desk/Conceirge and they couldn't reconcile or consolidate the 4 pages of billing at checkout. At these rates, that's absolutely ridiculous. I asked to speak to management which didn't happen until after I returned home and Mr. Geoff Farmer, General Manager, had me wait to speak to accounting (2 weeks). After waiting another week for a response from accounting, no forward momentum. Even after 1 month of back and forth with the hotel, not a single person could provide a consolidated bill....it was the same excuse...based upon our opinion everything "should be ok". I'm not interested in opinion. Show me debits and credits which is a GLOBAL STANDARD. I finally gave up and disputed charges through my credit card. The GM offered a 2 night credit but I wasn't interested in freebies, I was just interested in getting an accurate bill. For which after my efforts to transfer every charge to excel they still wouldn't agree with me, nor provide anything else from their end. SERVICE FEE & TIPS: Service fees go straight to the property and NOT the wait staff, which is contrary to what was explained at time of booking. We were told by the rest of the staff onsite that all charged tips and service fees are taken by the hotel. So, if you tip, it has to be cash, otherwise the property will keep anything charged to the room or via credit card. Either the staff is lying or the property, neither is a good situation. CONCEIRGE: a. Rude and didn’t care about the complaints b. Taxis overpriced - You can read more comments here. Totally agree. And we rented a car based upon the hotel's recommendation. Of course they take no responsibility for that either. DO NOT RENT A CAR. The roads in Barbados are terrible with pot holes etc. So we didn't feel safe driving at night. Call for your own taxi. These guys say they work with the best luxury drivers, but truth be told 70% of the time we were in a van for 2 or 3 of us and we would take a taxi back for half the price. I was super annoyed because the security gate wouldn't call up and let us know that the car service was waiting outside. Again, lack of service. Car services (booked by the hotel) was also late 3 times and the prebooked shuttle to the airport (through the hotel luxury car service) had a FLAT TIRE and we were over an hour late to the airport for our return flight home. AWFUL!!!! And they still had the nerve to charge us for it. The concierge has a terrible attitude and was completely indifferent about any complaints. I even asked during the stay if there was a complaint form. She said yes, but it's really basic (implying it doesn't matter). Again, I reported everything I'm writing her to Geoff Farmer. He offered another visit to the property but we decided we were so disappointed with the service, it wasn't even worth it to us. We paid well over $10,000 USD to the property and it felt no better than a basic Sheraton hotel. This property is in NO way a 5 STAR resort. BROKEN EQUIPMENT: We read reviews and asked for a room with beach elevator access. The Elevator was broken and we reported 3 days in a row. Repair people came finally and said it was broken and were going in and out of the suite for the day. But no resolution. Never worked the entire time we were there. Geoff tried to deny this situation. POOL & GROUNDS: Dirty. Debris from the trees on the pool deck and trash blowing into the pool. Literally every day we only spent time in one section of the pool. Tons of stuff at the bottom of the pool and completely ignored by the pool staff or anyone else. The grounds every morning from wind or rain still everyone on the grounds. Moss overgrown and generally not well kept. Little kids from the sister property told us that their hotel pool was way dirtier and that they came to ours to swim. We had planned to take the shuttle over but figured...not a good idea anymore. We usually had to go to the bar to get food or drinks since no one was asking if we wanted drinks at the pool or the beach. BEACH: Clean and better maintained. Service was good as people asked if you wanted chairs etc. But there was no wait staff for drinks or food. I literally called the hotel from my cell on the beach to place an order for food. Told them this was not good on day 2 and the 3 other times we were out there, same thing, unless we walked back to the hotel to place our order for food or drinks. Once the order was placed the services was great. No problems. But it seems unreasonable for the guest to go back to the only restaurant on property to go place and order for a bottle of water, etc. Beach activities were good I think. Daughter went on waverunner. ROOM: We had the 3 bedroom villa. It was nice, decor was a little dated but nice. I wasn't aware that they drained the hot tub after every visitor. Would have been good to know when we were there. You could smell the chlorine but there was sand in the bottom, so we weren't sure if it was clean. The maid service was good. And we saw that they spray the unit down for bugs every day or so which is great. Extra points for the grocery delivery. Made things so easy that it was stocked. When we placed the 2nd order with the concierge, we had to wait 2 days for our food order and then called down to get it delivered. Broken ice dispenser on frig and 3rd room AC broke last 2 days, so baby had to sleep in bed with me in the master. Would have been nice to have table to dine at while inside the unit. Mosquitos were plentiful at night. so we sat at sofa to eat most meals. PHONES & MENUS: Room service was not good. Phone wasn't good and it was expensive. Same food as at the bar downstairs. Several of the items on the menu were incorrect and day 6 or 7 they told us that they hadn't had a chance to change out the menus in the room yet. Really? That takes one day and have housekeeping or someone change them out or upon check in hand us another room service menu. Phone Lines were preprogrammed and mostly got busy signals for conceirge. Front desk extension 100% of the time said that we were calling outside of business hours. We reported this several times but no one seems concerned. We literally had to call the bar to get transferred to the conceirge or to leave a message for the them to call us back, just to book dinner or a trip. Turtle Swimming Tour was Great. All in all, this property left us lacking. It could be a very nice boutique set of villas. I wouldn't call this a resort given the lack of dining options, and the small pool and services was more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel or resort. We took no free rooms, no return trip. I was that disappointed with management's response and his lack of accepting responsibility. It was like a negotiation. He listened to some of the problems but tried to deny others and the billing/accounting issue that he passed along to the account who tried to pass it back to him. I'm a business order and am well aware of how finances work. This is a simple activity that should have been possible from any hotel in the world. It was completely shady to me. I won't be going back to the hotel and frankly not even interested in going back to Barbados from my experience. I have been to over 50 countries worldwide and this is amongst one of the most expensive but oneo f the poorest run properties I have experienced. I'm not sure if this was a bad 10 days, but at low season there really is no excuse. Such a shame because I love the Caribbean and go at least twice yearly.

Perfect, just perfect

I never write reviews, BUT, This place was too good not to share. The place is beautiful. Well kept, clean, stunning views. Again I say BUT, This is not why I a writing. At St Peters it was the people that made our stay so special. The entire staff is, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Look for Raymond on the beach, he is extremely helpful, bright professional young man. So nice to see people like this do exist. I also suggest getting Renaldo as your taxi driver/ guide. You can find him at Exquisite Chauffeur Services. I suggest paying for him from the moment you land. We were greeted with a clean, comfortable car (BMW 5 series) cold water waiting for us. He is a great guide as well. I had never been to Barbados, Beautiful country, friendly people.... Spoiler ...Everything is expensive doesn't matter where you go, supermarket, convenience store, restaurant..

Myself and family just returned from a couple weeks here, staying in room 404. Upon entry, we were stunned at the spectacle of the apartment. The varying rooms, the bathroom with a walk-in shower. The walk-in wardobe, hot-tub, comfy seating area augmented our holiday and ensured we were spoilt. The view from the various balconies was stunning and, accompanied by a great sitting area outside, made for great evenings full of discussion and fun chat (and some lovely meals per the great cooking facilities). I would jump at the chance to return here for half the period. The staff at the beach were beyond lovely, the private lift that was available at all times was quite incredible and made for easy access to and from the beach. Room 404 gave for (in my opinion) one of the best views in all of St. Peters Bay. In the evening, we witnessed a turtle giving birth and on various occasions were catch a glimpse of younglings in the sand; it was out of this world. I would hesitate if you're considering coming here. Lovely locals, lovely food served on premises and the other guests are great company and fantastic to be around.
