Royal Vest Indies resot at Tursk and Caicos

Resort is very nice it is a paradise to spend week over there. Pelican Restaurant is good but little overpriced. For example bottle of the water was $9.50 at the restaurant and in the store the same water cost only $3.00. Plus Pelican restaurant charged service Fee for everything. But it was worth it for the nice beach and ocean.

The condos were perfect for our group. They were roomy and clean and close to the pool and beach. The beach is exceptional and the water is perfect! The staff, especially Sherman, Eddie and K Jay, were very helpful and friendly. We completely enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave. We would love to go back there every year!

Royal West Indies - Turks and Caicos Lush

The Hotel is surrounded by Sunshine and lush greenery. There are Palm trees at least 4 types, ferns and blooms even in January. The restaurant and bar are VERY pricey as are most restaurants on the island. We, most unusually as I've heard hit a patch of rainy weather that limited our activities. But my husband and I still wandered around Provo with our rented vehicle. The Conch Farm was also closed due to the hurricane last fall. The climate is to die for, absolutely perfect. All of the aches and pains we had from subzero temperatures in Wisconsin were gone. And the ocean is the most gorgeous aqua one has ever seen.

We enjoyed every second of our stay at the Royal West Indies. We stayed in an oceanview studio. It was clean and comfortable and had gorgeous views of the gardens and the ocean. We enjoyed happy hour every evening from 5-7, with all drinks half-priced. The bar would get pretty busy but we always found a place to sit. The beach was amazing! We were there in early August and it was never really busy. The maids did a wonderful job keeping our room clean and supplied with fresh towels. There were bikes, Hobie Cats, paddle boards, and kayaks that could be used for free in 30-minute increments. We loved reading by the "quiet pool." We will definitely go back!

There is very little negative to say about our trip. The value for the money allowed us to do more once there. The hotel staff was great, the whole island was one big welcome committee, everywhere we went people were so gracious. Even the other guest went out of their way to be nice. Not one bad thing happened during the entire visit.I will recommend this place and Apple vacations to everyone. We came for our 40 anniversary and were not disappointed.

The grounds and rooms of the hotel are beautiful. The resort is near the far end of Grace Bay, which meant things were quiet but we had a fair walk to get to other restaurants and shops. I'd recommend plenty of cash for taxis or just renting a car. The taxis charge per-person, so any group of more than two is definitely better off with a car rental. The casino is right next door, and the hotel offers $10 vouchers for $80-worth of drinks and chips at the casino. The service is very laid-back - they are happy to help, but not in a rush. The beach is lovely and the hotel provides beach gear for free.

The hotel was exactly what we had expected. Affordable clean and comfortable. The wifi worked great throughout the facility and the beach was outrageous. Check in and out was quick and overall we found the locals excellent. We never felt unsafe walking not having rented a car. Don't really feel one was necessary. Caicos Dream tours provided a great snorkeling trip

The hotel was great and very comfortable. Washer & dryers in rooms and they gave you one load of soap was a big bonus so we could pack much lighter. The food was very good and the hotel was in a perfect location with a great beach compared to the stretch of beach at Grace Bay. The only minor negative was the beach guys were somewhat hesitant to let the kayak and hobie cat out. You have to be very demanding to get them to get it in the water. Probably because most people use it and have no clue how to sail so I could understand their hesitation. Otherwise I would definitely stay there again. It in a perfect location.

We went to Turks & Caicos with high expectations of the Island but were not sure about the hotel. I can gladly say this hotel/resort was ABOVE our expectations! The staff was not only pleasant (Including Mr. Lopez who was very accommodating to all our needs) but the hotel was gorgeous. The pools were well maintained and the beach was breathtaking. I have already recommended 3 family and friends to the resort.

Reverse Goldie Locks but beautiful beach

We have stayed at this resort 3 times. The last time we stayed in a studio. Previously had stayed in a one and two bedroom condo. We didn't prefer the studio as it was quite tight. It was clean and the bed was comfortable , however there wasn't anywhere comfortable to sit . There were two tiny chairs that were very stiff and a small kitchen table with two chairs that didn't seem to fit in the room . The beach was lovely as always . The view impeccable .

Very Nice

Studio botanical room was very clean and well kept. The grounds were also very well kept. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Not a lot to do on Provo but the restaurants were fantastic. They do have private bikes to use for two hours at a time which is more than enough for viewing of most of Grace Bay Area

This place is perfect. Wonderful location and grounds immaculate. Beautiful private beach and all staff are attentive and polite. Restaurant is great. Bikes for close access to grocery. Diving great with dive Provo. I am gluten and dairy free and lots of options at restaurants and able to cook in condo with full kitchen. Everyone we met has been back here multiple times and stays at the same place. What does that tell you.

We keep returning to this great boutique resort for a reason, we love it here! We are low maintenance travelers who appreciate the small size, beautiful grounds, location and the awesome on-site restaurant, Pelican Bay. The wide beachfront is one of the best on Gracie. We rented direct from the owner so room comments are not applicable. Also, a common negative mentioned by many reviewers regarding the staff at the front desk does not effect us either since we never have to deal with them and never set foot in the lobby. Observations that we noted this year comparing them to our previous stays are: 1. The towel game came into play a lot more with towels on chairs that we never saw anybody use. That is very sad to see because it was always nice to go find a lounger on the beach later in the day if needed because people weren't being inconsiderate. 2. The average age of guests is getting younger and includes more children. With the closing of Beaches Resort possibly on the horizon this particular dynamic will continue to be effected. Since we are beach people, we still have never been in any of the pools but they always look clean and well maintained. Eddie and the beach/pool staff work very hard and we tipped them each day and hope that others appreciate them and do the same. As always we had several meals at the bar at Pelican Bay and loved every one of them. New favorites this year were the tacos and the shrimp penne pasta, so delicious. The daily happy hour from 5:00-7:00 continues to be a favorite for guests and locals alike. We encounter so many nice people there and enjoy comparing weather and travel adventures. The bar staff that we want to give a big thank you and a shout out to are: Bert, Mak, O'Neal, new kids on the block, Rommel and Machlando and last but definetely not least, Y-Jay!! If you are wanting a true ocean view, stay in building 1 on either 2nd or 3rd floor for an unobstructed beautiful view.

Pros and cons

My husband and I traveled with friends to Royal West Indies Resort February 5-10, 2019. I have been to Providenciales several times and have stayed at several different places on the island. That being said, I have compiled a personal list of pros and cons... cons: The beach lounge chairs were terrible. The majority of them, anyway. Old, worn out and difficult to get in and out of. We reserved and paid for an “ocean front” room.. we did get ocean front, but our room was on ground level which meant a majorly obstructed ocean view. We could barely see the horizon. Ground level also means you’ll have plenty of kitty cat visitors, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but others may not. Note: some of the cats are friendly, others are not. Pool water seemed a bit murky. Didn’t bother us because we’re beach people, but still. Pros: Royal West Indies Resort is located on (in my opinion) the best part of Grace Bay. Great beach, spectacular water. Happy hour at the bar was a lot of fun. My group was not big drinkers, but the atmosphere was inviting and enjoyable. The ground floor unit that I originally was disappointed about actually ended up being very cool. We could walk out the back sliders and were only steps from the beach. We were only a short walk to Coco Bistro which is one of my fave restaurants. The fish tacos at the resort restaurant were delicious! I ordered them several times. All in all, I had a great time and would definitely go back. I only gave 4 stars because I really hated the beach loungers.
