Royal Vest Indies resot at Tursk and Caicos
ANTON H.
Dec 12 2018
Resort is very nice it is a paradise to spend week over there. Pelican Restaurant is good but little overpriced. For example bottle of the water was $9.50 at the restaurant and in the store the same water cost only $3.00. Plus Pelican restaurant charged service Fee for everything. But it was worth it for the nice beach and ocean.

The condos were perfect for our group. They were roomy and clean and close to the pool and beach. The beach is exceptional and the water is perfect! The staff, especially Sherman, Eddie and K Jay, were very helpful and friendly. We completely enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave. We would love to go back there every year!

Royal West Indies - Turks and Caicos Lush
JUDY S.
Feb 12 2018
The Hotel is surrounded by Sunshine and lush greenery. There are Palm trees at least 4 types, ferns and blooms even in January. The restaurant and bar are VERY pricey as are most restaurants on the island. We, most unusually as I've heard hit a patch of rainy weather that limited our activities. But my husband and I still wandered around Provo with our rented vehicle. The Conch Farm was also closed due to the hurricane last fall. The climate is to die for, absolutely perfect. All of the aches and pains we had from subzero temperatures in Wisconsin were gone. And the ocean is the most gorgeous aqua one has ever seen.

We enjoyed every second of our stay at the Royal West Indies. We stayed in an oceanview studio. It was clean and comfortable and had gorgeous views of the gardens and the ocean. We enjoyed happy hour every evening from 5-7, with all drinks half-priced. The bar would get pretty busy but we always found a place to sit. The beach was amazing! We were there in early August and it was never really busy. The maids did a wonderful job keeping our room clean and supplied with fresh towels. There were bikes, Hobie Cats, paddle boards, and kayaks that could be used for free in 30-minute increments. We loved reading by the "quiet pool." We will definitely go back!

There is very little negative to say about our trip. The value for the money allowed us to do more once there. The hotel staff was great, the whole island was one big welcome committee, everywhere we went people were so gracious. Even the other guest went out of their way to be nice. Not one bad thing happened during the entire visit.I will recommend this place and Apple vacations to everyone. We came for our 40 anniversary and were not disappointed.

The grounds and rooms of the hotel are beautiful. The resort is near the far end of Grace Bay, which meant things were quiet but we had a fair walk to get to other restaurants and shops. I'd recommend plenty of cash for taxis or just renting a car. The taxis charge per-person, so any group of more than two is definitely better off with a car rental. The casino is right next door, and the hotel offers $10 vouchers for $80-worth of drinks and chips at the casino. The service is very laid-back - they are happy to help, but not in a rush. The beach is lovely and the hotel provides beach gear for free.

The hotel was exactly what we had expected. Affordable clean and comfortable. The wifi worked great throughout the facility and the beach was outrageous. Check in and out was quick and overall we found the locals excellent. We never felt unsafe walking not having rented a car. Don't really feel one was necessary. Caicos Dream tours provided a great snorkeling trip

Hotel at Turks & Caicos

The hotel was great and very comfortable. Washer & dryers in rooms and they gave you one load of soap was a big bonus so we could pack much lighter. The food was very good and the hotel was in a perfect location with a great beach compared to the stretch of beach at Grace Bay. The only minor negative was the beach guys were somewhat hesitant to let the kayak and hobie cat out. You have to be very demanding to get them to get it in the water. Probably because most people use it and have no clue how to sail so I could understand their hesitation. Otherwise I would definitely stay there again. It in a perfect location.

We went to Turks & Caicos with high expectations of the Island but were not sure about the hotel. I can gladly say this hotel/resort was ABOVE our expectations! The staff was not only pleasant (Including Mr. Lopez who was very accommodating to all our needs) but the hotel was gorgeous. The pools were well maintained and the beach was breathtaking. I have already recommended 3 family and friends to the resort.

Great Hotel with Beautiful Grounds

We chose thee most inexpensive room, which was very comfortable with a King Bed, small kitchenette and a balcony that overlooked the quiet pool. It was enjoyable walking through the grounds in the morning past the tropical foliage which is absolutely stunning. The whole resort had an upscale feel, and the grounds and rooms are very well-kept. The rooms even had a nice smell. The happy hour 2 for 1 drinks are a great deal in Turks and the appetizers were all very good. The location is great since you can walk to the Infinity Bar for dinner.(Tomahawk steak there amazing). Of course the best part of the hotel is Grace Bay right in front which is always serene and clear with pretty shades of blue water. The only negative I would say is that the bar is a bit of a walk from the beach and there is no beach service, and unfortunately there is also no view of the beach from the bar. But still would definitely stay here again on all future Turks trips.

Very pretty grounds

The property itself was very clean and well maintained. Beautiful flowers everywhere. Our room was always clean and made up. Nice pools and jacuzzi to just sit and relax in and the beach is amazing! We ate on the property only three times (breakfast only once, more on that later). The food was good but the service was a bit slow. We were a party of five adults, my wife and I along with three other friends. The one evening we ate at the restaurant they seemed to have a little difficulty separating out the bill 4 ways. Shouldn’t be THAT difficult, it’s only math. The time we ate lunch on property was after a storm had knocked out power to the entire island for 6 hours! I thought the staff did an amazing job of preparing what they could without full power but when it came time to settle the bill they really struggled. Again, it’s only math and shouldn’t make it a 2+ hour lunch! Now about breakfast. The five of us were there for scuba diving with a daily pickup of 8:00am. Breakfast did not start until 7:30 making it impossible to order, eat and then pay in time to make our pickup. Something to just grab and go would have been nice and easy without putting the hotel, restaurant or staff to too much trouble. Simple pastries, fruit, bagels....ANYTHING would have gone a long ways towards satisfying the hungry beasts about to disappear under the sea.

Another great stay and welcome return. We were upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom which was really nice. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. It’s amazing how beautiful the flowers and gardens are but you can understand as they are constantly working on them even when it’s raining. Weather fabulous, best happy hour in Grace Bay. Myla, Peter, Y-Jay, Rommel thank you. The whole team thank you. One of the best beaches in the world. We will be back!

Extremely Helpful Staff

The staff was helpful in every way making our stay memorable. We picked a room with only a kitchenette since we didn't need a lot of room. We did have a washer and dryer, big plus there. The balcony was huge with a beautiful view of the ocean. We were in building 2. Our son's family was in Building 3 with a separate bedroom and view. That was beautiful also. They had the full kitchen. We wanted to rest and enjoy the ocean and pool so we ate most of our meals at the Pelican Bay Restaurant on property. We did go to the store and pick up snacks and breakfast stuff. I would suggest that you stop at the store on the way to the resort to save time. People at the front dest including the bellman were extremely helpful in our getting information of places to go to and how to work the TV. We got take-away one night so that we could enjoy the balcony view and still hear the music from the bar. Things do quiet down early though.

A piece of island paradise
michael a, Mansfield, Ohio
Mon Nov 12 03:46:27 EST 2018
We just stayed at Royal West Indies (again) and continue to be amazed at this piece of paradise in Turks and Caicos. This cozy upscale tropically lush resort sits on one of the finest beaches in the world with crystal clear turquoise water. The weather is phenomenal every day and so is the staff helping care for you. There are multiple pools with a quiet botanical pool next to a water feature and hot tub then a pool next to the excellent restaurant and bar. You feel like you are on an island rather than in some larger sterile resort you can find anywhere. The only bad part of the stay is knowing you have to eventually go back home.
