cold water shower
Feb 02 2018
It is a 3 star location, that being said, the cottage had a faulty hot water heater that kept tripping the breaker and leaving us with cold water showers. It took the hotel 6 nights before they would move us to another room, seems they thought that we didn't know how to regulate the water temperature. HOWEVER, the rest of the staffing, bar tenders, wait staff, cooks, maintenance guys, were tops, very polite and helpful.

Mediocre Food and Liquor
Nov 27 2017
Food was cool to cold at the buffet. The only hot food you received was when it was served by the chefs at separate carving stations. Liquor at the bar was not any brands I had ever heard of. They used to serve Jack Daniels and Jim Beam but that was nowhere to be found. A lot of construction was going on and I was not told that a snack restaurant had been moved to an upper level location. Another guest told me. The hotel is ok but they need to improve the food and also the liquor selection

Bad experience
Apr 26 2017
Did not get room we requested. Had to wait 2 1/2 hours for room. Room was 1960 style no coffee pot no fridge and they only give you one bottle of water which you have to go refill at the bar. Very noisy and smell of sewer. When it rained which was often you had no cover on your patio. No smoking except designated areas.

Awesome Resort
Feb 25 2017
We loved our ocean view cottage. The food is amazing and the staff are so sweet. This resort is basic but in the right way, it has all of the stuff you need. Great quiet pool and the beach areas were wonderful. We will be returning next year for sure.

3 Star Rating With 5 Star Service
Jan 15 2017
My wife and I loved every aspect of this all inclusive property. The view was 5 star, the service was 5 star and the food and drinks were very good. Maid service was 5 star. This property is beautiful and very well kept. We had a one room suite. It had a separate bedroom which is perfect especially when travelling with kids. This was a very unique experience as 90 percent of the rooms were individual units with air conditioning and many with ocean and garden views. I would highly recommend this property. Again, the rating for this property is 3 star but I would give it 5 star for service.

The staff is the best!

We have never encountered the high quality of staff anywhere else. You feel more like an extended part of their family and not just another guest. Next trip we become official "Jamericans".

RDCC was a wonderful experience. the room was perfect, the service was exceptional, food & entertainment very, very good. RDMB was a very disorganized mess. the staff at check in was completely overwhelmed due to a Jamaican holiday. there were no managers to be found to help rectify the situation. the food & entertainment staff were definitely subpar also. we stayed at this property last year at this time & it has definitely gone downhill.

The hotel was older but very clean. The staff was exceptional! They were friendly, always ready to assist in anything you needed. The food was wonderful and always something new to try every day. Our cottage wasn't ready when we arrived so they offered us a suite with a free safe and if we liked the suite better we could stay there at no extra cost. We did stay in the suite and did not get any extra charge. The entertainment staff were awesome. They didn't just entertain on the stage, but they came out to the guest numerous times during the day and night to ask if we were having a good time etc. A lot of them made sure they hugged you good bye even, We would really recommend this resort to anyone. But don't expect top notch room like the larger resorts but do expect excellent everything else.

Lovely , quaint older property.
Jan 03 2014
Was at this property over 30 years ago with my Mom. Was quiet and quaint. Many improvements since then but still recognizable. Food is good but very bland to cater to all tastes. Landscape lush and well maintained. Had beach front cottage which didn't require ac which was a good thing because it didn't work. Heavy French guest population and catered entertainment to them. Good vacation for the money. You will be harassed by many staff to buy drugs, fetch them a drink from the bar or for tips or money.

The bungalows are clean and comfy and the beaches are beautiful. The food is not much to talk about and very I mean very bland. Staff was really really rude and nasty. I am very disappointed in our stay at this resort and I recommend you stay at a different resort but Jamaica is beautiful. We will return to Jamaica in the future but will not be staying in this resort.

This was a surprise 50th trip off my partner. It is a great place .staff are friendly and great setting The food could be improved but you could find something you liked.we did find they run out of things quick and took time to replace so you were waiting around . Our cottage was nice in beautiful gardens but it was very basic . My in laws had a suite .it was roomy but could have done with a table and chairs in there as the settee beds are not ideal for people in their 70s again it was very basic My partner had mentioned she had emailed the hotel about my 50th before we came and they had replied but no effort was made with my birthday from the staff which was dissapointing.

Cozy low key and chill.

Royal De Cameron situated in one of the most beautiful parishes St Ann,Jamaica, has a warm cozy low keyed chill kind of vibe.Has beautiful surroundings, plush vegetation, lovely beach which is quite beautiful at sunset.Though a 3 star one has to remember it's an all inclusive at a much cheaper price.Which is a plus when you're seeking a warm nice vacation spot to just chill and unwind. The staff is very friendly warm and accommodating.I can recall where we missed booking reservations at the specialty restaurants and seating was booked out.It was explained that the visit was to commemorate our anniversary and they took that in mind.As soon as there was a cancellation we were notified immediately and was able to have our lovely dinner by the sea which was much appreciated. As for our room we received a junior suite right beside the adults only pool. The room is quite spacious-two rooms with adequate bedding quite suitable for large groups or families. One thing though of note is that you would need to bring your own body wash, soaps, shampoos and conditioners. Please be advised also that free wifi is not offered in the room-comes at an additional cost. Notwithstanding, for an all inclusive it's worth it to vacation here- lovely beaches, very good line up of nightly entertainment, wonderful tasty meals right throughout the day plus snacks and beverages whether alcoholic or non-alcoholic just take your pick. Besides you can't lose out on sipping some lovely drink by the sea far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Basic and noisey

Arrived here for a week after an excellent week on Marella cruise. Cottage clean but very basic and run down, no fridge, bathroom tiles cracked and falling off and front door area littered with cigarette butts. Whole complex needs more than a little TLC.and investment. Nights were dreadful with loud music from nearby property going on until way past 2am. ...5 am one night. Music and entertainment all week was the same, with the exception of the steel drummers. Food average, delta fusion closed as that end had a really bad smell from seaweed. Receptionists not helpful, other staff okay but had their favourites. I wont be returning and pleased to come home for a good nights rest.

Welcoming resort

My partner and I arrived at the hotel after being recommended by a friend and attending his wedding. Yes as others have said, there’s some repairs that need to be attended to, but this hotel has been the most friendly, welcoming place I have ever stayed. The staff are all welcoming and very friendly. I would especially give credit to Anthea Brown in the main restaurant, max and Phillip. Our maid, for room 111, I just want to say how much effort she makes and thank you for that. The beaches, yes as others have said, there’s a lot of seaweed that’s washed in overnight but the guys are out there early cleaning it up, and working very hard to keep the areas clean. The food.... how anyone can moan about it is beyond me, there’s a lot of variety, and it’s very nice. You also have two other restaurants which you need book in advance, again very nice. Overall, a lovely welcoming hotel, well worth the money, and will definitely return next year. Thank you for making our stay memorable.
