My husband and I went on this vacation with his brother and wife. We were jointly celebrating our anniversaries. It was all of our 1st stay at an all inclusive hotel and really appreciated the convenience of food and drinks at anytime. The beach was a little too rough to swim or wade in but a short walk on the beach you could be at Medano Beach. Cabo San Lucas is very tourist welcoming and Pesos are not mandatory which the Internet leads you to believe. The only CAUTION we would all give is when exiting Customs DO NOT talk to the people behind the counters walk straight out to the transport people. Unless you want to be rooked into going on a Time-Share tour. One taxi driver said it beautifully...the one thing you need to know it NO, Gracious! The Cabo government or Airport really needs to get a handle on the Time-Share Rustlers. We thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our trip! More>

The Riu Palace Hotel is an all inclusive hotel and it is an awesome place to stay. The moment I walked into the lobby I new I was going to really like it. It is well maintained and is kept very clean. They are cleaning all day long. The people at the hotel are all very nice and helpful and if you have a problem (we had a problem with our room safe) they are there to help you in minutes. Pool and restaurant services were excellent. The pool activity staff do an awesome job, getting people to take part in the various activities around the pool (water aerobics, dancing lessons, pool football and volleyball, bingo and various other games). There are two infinity pools ( 1 on the quieter side and 1 on the action side), a pool for little kids and a swim up bar. Went the shows every night enjoyed everyone of them. I found the all inclusive buffets were really good. There was everything you could possibly think of to eat. Went to a couple of the restaurants there (the Mexican and the Japanese ones) enjoyed the both. Went into town one day quite enjoyed that, only cost $14.00 for the taxi from the hotel. The most awesome highlight of my trip was the camel safari and outback tour I went on. Never in my life did I ever think that I would ride a camel. The tour left from the hotel at 8:00 am and got back about 3:00 pm. It included a camel safari along the ocean, an outback trip into the desert, an authentic Mexican food lunch which was really good and finished off with a Tequila tasting. I'll never forget that tour. I would go back to the Riu Palace at Cabo San Lucas in a heart beat. More>

We were upgraded to the Palace from the Sante Fe due to a serious noise problem. The Palace had beautiful, QUIET, rooms. The staff was wonderful, the entertainment was fun and the food was great. We ate at the buffets because the restaurants were already booked. You couldn't ask for better food or choices. I highly recommend this resort. More>

I first stayed at the riu santa fe twice it was so so then I finally tried the palace it was quite the upgrade from the santa fe from food to just general atmosphere the buffet had way better choices and the resort was allot better everything was connected in one huge building it was nice that they had mirroring pools on both sides with a smaller baby pool which was a life saver for us with our son to be able to swim around on his own .. the grounds were immaculate always clean the pools were also cleaned everyday the swim up bars were okay the servers don't know how to mix drinks.. the rooms are basically the same as santa fe the bed was fine like everyone complains about we just got more padding added to the bed it was fine . The only real complaint I had was that the coffee was crap and it should be a coffee bar with good cappuccinos and lattes and the bartenders really need to lean how to mix drinks and also have better mix ingredients just so everyone is aware this hotel is being closed for a few months in august for a complete renovation. All in all it is a very good family resort and when they do the reno it was be awesome More>

Rui Palace was everything we expected

We picked the Riu Palace because our friend goes every year. We wanted a reasonably priced all inclusive hotel for our 30th birthdays so our friends could afford to go. Our room was very nice. The pools were very nice. The other hotel guests were very nice. It was pretty close to everything we wanted to do outside the resort. We went to the Riu Santa Fe one afternoon and it was nice. The liquor at the Santa Fe was not as good as the liquor at the Palace. but everything else seemed the same. Overall, it was a great trip. Would definitely return. More>
