An amazing experience in Aruba

6/19/17. The Riu palace is a magnificent hotel. That rooms are beautiful and very clean. We are a family of 4 and opted for the all inclusive package and I wouldn't do it any other way if we go back. The selection of food in the main restaurant is unbelievable. The pool is absolutely beautiful and unbelievably clean. We all bounced back and forth between the pool and the beach. Staff was on top of their game. ABC Tours offers an all day tour with numerous stops along the way. I highly recommend this tour AND ask for tour guide Hugo. He made helped make this tour an unforgettable experience.

Great Hotel but not for Babies

We stayed one week at the Riu Palace Aruba. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the location is great, it's all inclusive however you cannot compare with any all inclusive hotel in Cancun. We don't recommend this hotel for families with babies because there isn't activities, entertainment, nice playgrounds and decent pool for babies or kids and the worst thing is that they have live music/shows until 11pm outside, so forget to sleep before 11pm because it's very noise no matter where you are in the hotel. We changed the room due to this situation however we could still hear the music in our room. The food in the Buffet and in the Steakhouse ARE REALLY good, but the problem is that between 3pm and 6:30pm the only option you have to eat is a very small cafeteria close to the lobby that only serve sandwiches and some deserts/drinks. Some recommendations to the management: * Create a separate location for the live entertainment or close the show before 8pm, so the little ones can sleep without the noise. * Maintain the buffet open during the whole day. * Create a better playground/pool for the kids.

But was lovely We eat in 3 out of 4 restaurants which was also great Entertainment team gave it 110 percent from the pool area to evening And another plus you could use the sister hotel next door which was adults only if you fancy a change of scenery We was very impressed with how clean everything was Well done to all at RUI palace cant wait to return next year

We came to aruba palace on 5th june-19th June 2017 Checkin was really quick only took about 10 minutes we just had to write our name on a form and put our date of birth on it and sign it. They gave us an envelope with cards in for the rooms and asked us if we needed help with the cases and we said no. We went to the rep meeting the next morning at 9am.The rep s really nice she's called Jess. We booked a trip on a submarine it did not submurge it was a normal boat on the top then we went down some steps, there was all seats either side with windows and we was under the sea, it was about 15 foot deep. We was on the bottom of the sea and there was lots of coral and fish to take photos of. We had to get a catamaran boat from the local pier to the middle of the sea where the sea world explorer was stationed. The tour guide was very nice and made the trip fun. The sea world Explorer took us to the Antilla shipwreck which was amazing and is worth the trip. The restaurant food was amazing, they had octopus, calamari, prawns, shrimps. We did not go on the la cartè restaurants because the food was so good in the restaurant. If you do want to go to the a la cartè it is first come first serve and you do not need to book. At lunch time you do have to get in early or you will have to queue up. At the back of the restaurant there were many tables but they closed it off at lunch time which I could not understand because it got so busy. We could not understand why they would not use the full capacity of the dining room when there was a huge queue of people wanting to come in. The food was great, we really enjoyed it. Whatever drink you want in the restaurant they give it to you in a wine glass, whether it's beer, wine or a soft drink. The hotel was really clean, the maids cleaned it very well. You never seen any dirt. You also have to get up really early if you want an umbrella by the pool as there are only 30 allocated for the whole pool. One morning I got there at 6am and already one half of the pool beds were reserved. If there was more umbrellas I feel people would not have to get up as early. Every morning the staff were cleaning and scrubbing the pools thoroughly. The cups that they give you around the pool are very small and you cannot put them down or they will blow away. Aruba has trade winds so it is very windy all day and all night. You will need towel clips. We was pleased to have some wind because the temperature was 33 and it cooled us down. There are pool towels that you can get by the pool. There is a wide variety of drinks, although they could do with more than one choice of beer as I did not like it. If you go out of the hotel and go to the left, just go past the hotels and you come to all of the shops. There are quite a few along with restaurants. This hotel looked the best on palm beach. We went on the sunset cruise for 3 hours with a meal which was really good. One of the men on the trip got everyone up dancing and they had an open bar. Went past the lighthouse and Eagle Beach then watched the sunset which was amazing. We got a bus to Eagle Beach which is supposed to be one of the best beaches in the world. It was definitely worth it, we stopped there all day. The sand was so soft and the sea was really clear! We loved it. In the restaurant the dress is classed as casual so I wouldn't get too dressed up. The entertainment in the daytime was really good, they did volleyball on the beach, aqua aerobics, played music throughout the day. They came back in the afternoon and got everyone around the pool involved in all the activities which was funny. All the entertainment staff were pleasant and didn't push you into doing anything. At night time they could have had a bit more entertainment but they had live singers on for around an hour then put a show on which was different each night. In our hotel room we had a junior suite, it had 2 sinks, a very big shower which was really good. They change the towels everyday. One day the maid forgot to change our towels and she came back later on and asked us if we wanted fresh towels but we just waited till the next day. There were 2 beds but I think each bed was a 3/4 bed pushed together which was good. You went down some steps and the was a table, 2 chairs and a little settee. We had a side sea view and had a lovely view of the pool. Sometimes when we came back up to the room the floor was still wet as if it had just been mopped and then when we took our clothes out the drawers they felt damp. I thought it could be from the air conditioning. In 2 weeks it only happened about 4 times so it must be from the air con. We really enjoyed our holiday and we would go back in a heartbeat. I am really pleased we chose RIU Palace Aruba on Palm Beach.
