I cannot fault the staff from: the front desk Akilla with her smile and helpful attitude and the night front desk Jermain he was super helpful and kind and gave us such great advice. Really friendly bar staff and restaurant. A big shout out to Seyon who went out of his way to make my mom and aunt feel right at home. Christopher at night in the dinning room was always spot on. Helpful kind and always anticipated our tables need amazing young man. The staff i could not fault so professional it was a pleasure and our taxi drivers from the taxi desk was spot on. Our housekeeping staff were amazing kept our rooms so clean and Enid at the spa was spot on as were the maintence staff. The hotel was spotless and clean and really had some wonderful sun traps and nice breezy area's to chill out in. The not so good being told as a Riu Gold card holder i couldn't upgrade all i would be entitled to is a gift ( which never did materialise). In the main dinning room most nights if you entered after 7:30pm a lot of the food was cold maybe some microwaves would help??? How can u run out of fruit???? Sausages?why festival mix used to make fried dumpling. Lunch was sometimes hit and miss again depended what time we went. Maybe more variety at the sports bar i the way of snacks?? Running the gauntlet with the wasps(bees) that really needs to be looked at. Not impressed the paint got onto a few items of my clothing. For my 1st trip to Negril it was a good start

We have stayed at this resort three times before and after the refurb. We loved it then and love it even more now! They did a great job on the remodeling as the rooms are much nicer now and they added a quiet pool by the rooms which was nice. We will definitely be back soon! Thanks Riu!

Last year my GF and I stayed at RIU Palace - Pacifica in Puerto Vallarta. It was very nice. This year we couldn't get into RIU Palace Tropical Bay, so we settled on RIU ClubHotel Negril. It was a disappointment. We knew we were not staying at a palace, but the lack of luxury for an all inclusive was surprising. An example would be no coffee makers in the room! Heck, Motel 6 has them! For coffee, we had to walk the equivalent of a few city blocks to the buffet, so no carry outs. The frig was only stocked every other day, so don't drink all 3 cans of beer and expect to have more the next day. The first night they had Heineken for us. The rest of our stay it was Miller Lite. Want a king size bed? Forget about it! They push two full sized beds together. So if you want to sleep next to your partner, you end up on the crack between the beds. It was our worse nights sleep of any all inclusive. Another lack of luxury, no room service. None! Not even if you want to pay for it. It is not an option. Free Wi-Fi? Only in the lobby and dinning areas. You want it in your room? Shell out $40. For that price, why didn't they just include it? In the free WiFi areas, you are only allowed 2 devices per room. So if you attach both your phones, you can't attach your laptop or tablet. The food was average. Nothing special. Not bad either. I recommend getting a made to order omelet at the buffet. Nothing else was very good for breakfast. However, the line for the omelets get long. You cannot bring your own floats into the bar pool. The pools are rather small too. The best part was the entertainment staff. They were amazing and a ton of fun. We loved Rollie Polley at the coconut party. Also the beach party was a blast. The nightly entrainment was fun too. I participated/volunteered to be on stage each night and never regreted it. In summary I would rate this place 3 stars. I would typically try to convince you to book the RIU palace, but we toured it and it was small, and the pool even smaller. My best advise, spend the extra money and stay at Sandals.

returned yesterday from this hotel. First ever visit to Jamaica but will most certainly return. Firstly, check in was quick and very friendly we were in 1223, close to all facilities. the room was clean and the usual Riu standard, fridge, drinks dispenser, iron, safe, great air con and fan, cleaned daily to a very good standard. The hotel was clean throughout the pool areas very clean only problem you could not smoke around the pool so spent all my time on the beach. The restaurants were all good especially the speciality ones, top rate. I have stayed in several Riu hotels included a couple of the Palaces and these restaurants would not have been out of place there. The staff at the hotel were excellent nothing was too much trouble. I have been on nicer beaches throughout the Caribbean but having said that there was not much to fault on this one, the sea not as clear as I hoped being a very tentative sea goer I like to be able to see the bottom but some days not possible with the seaweed and then to spot a sting ray did have me running for shore, the vendors on the beach were not pushy yes they shout to you as they appear not to be able to come up further than the waters edge, but a polite no thank you was all that was needed. The smell of marajuana every where is a little bit much,it appears people do still think it is legal to smoke it anywhere and tourists do seem to go a bit mad on the stuff they use it like one big dope party. Really the only negative to this holiday, that, and the airport on arrival was like a cattle market but not so on the way back. I would definatley visit Jamaica again total relaxation and the fantastic weather set us up nicely for the UK winter, gorgeous people gorgeous hotel (food and Drink) what more could you ask Yeah Mon

Jamaica no problem!

Stayed here 10 days while doing a dental mission. This place wasn't too bad, the restaurants and buffet were pretty good. Nightly entertainment was nice but was mediocre. Easy to book excursions at the resort. The beach was nice and clean just beware of sand fleas at night, they're small but their bites are pretty big.
